I am only giving this location one star because I cannot give it zero. This is the absolute worse Dairy Queen location I have ever visited. First of all, I intended to order a $5 chicken strip lunch basket at 1:30 in the afternoon. Apparently, they do not serve those, despite them being advertised on the website. So I ordered a chicken strip dinner basket. I asked the cashier what comes with the meal, and she said she didnt know. She had to go to the back and ask another worker what came with it. It included 3 chicken strips, a few fries, two toasted slider buns, a small cup of coleslaw, and gravy. The meal cost $7.59. It did not include a drink. I ordered a small drink, which cost $1.59. I find these prices absolutely ridiculous for the quality and quantity of food offered. When other Dairy Queens are offering a $5 basket which includes 3 chicken strips, fries, gravy, a medium drink, and a sundae, this location is expecting someone to pay $7.59 for the same meal, plus $1.59 for a SMALL drink, plus extra for ice cream if you want it. Not only are these prices insulting, but the staff members were completely inattentive and uneducated as to the workings of their place of employment. After I had eaten part of my meal, I went to the counter to ask for a to-go box or bag. One of the cashiers was assisting another customer at the time, finished, and completely ignored me. Then, several other workers passed the counter where I was standing without helping me. Eventually, a worker who was sweeping asked me what I needed, I told her I would like a to-go box, and she helped me. I am absolutely appalled by the operations of this "restaurant." Other Dairy Queen restaurants, on the other hand, are fine.

Great food and great friendly fast service!!! I live in Mckenzie and eat there often ;) i just wish they would add a loaded baked potato to their munu or have a baked potato BAR IMSIDE!!! Butter, sour cream, CHIVES, nacho cheese, bacon bits or pieces, TOPPED OFF WITH CHILLI. I Thought about opening a BAKED POTATO SHACK because potatos are a staple food here in the south. While on Vacation in Florida i stopped at a BAKED POTATO BAR and it was a tiny shack had a walk up window to order on one side and drive through on the other side. Lines on both sides. They also offered corn on the cob dipped in butter and various other dippings. So, i wish DQ would offer both. Andria- a local in Mkenzie :)

McKenzie Dairy Queen has been in my life since before I was tall enough to see over the counter. Baby cheeseburgers, Wagon wheel sandwich, Jacks Twinburger...Fries or onion rings-decisions, decisions! To top it off, a sundae? A blizzard? Or the Worlds Best Hot Fudge Cake sundae?!? Whats not to love?

I am giving 2 stars because every time I order a product such as the cones the ice cream is great but the quantity is not there. There are few workers who gives a cone with the right amount of ice cream. It looks like I will have to find another Dairy Queen if it doesnt improve.

What else can you say, Dairy Queen. Everybody loves them. The greatest ice cream treats and love the baby burgers. Also have great ice cream birthday cakes and real break from just the same ol cake. Good hometown atmosphere.

Food is good, however all the staff I do mean all are quite rude. Im from Chicago and thought in the south people are more polite....not true! Stay up north lol. Also you will wait at minimum 10 minutes in there drive through.
