SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! Okay, this is a long one, because Ive got a lot to say. I loved this place. Everyone in my party loved it. The atmosphere is charming - simple decor, small space, few tables, open kitchen (with non-commercial range!), friendly hospitable personal service. And I cannot say enough about the food. So, SO delicious. A friend recommended that my husband and I try Cafe Bosna, so when we had 6 family members visiting Nashville (3 adults, 3 kids), we gave it a shot. They accommodated our party of 8 without a problem. The entrees even came out within a few minutes of each other, which seemed like it would be nearly impossible as we all ordered different things. We ordered two appetizers, 5 adult entrees, 2 kids meals, and 3 desserts. Everyone loved everything. Not a single complaint. The appetizers (spinach dip and fried cheese sticks) were the least impressive part of the meal, but that just means they were good-not-great. The salads that came with the entrees (2 different kinds) were surprisingly tasty. Ive never commented on a side salad before, since theyre pretty much all the same, but these were different. A side salad with (I believe) cucumber dill dressing, and a cabbage salad with a sweet-ish vinegar dressing. YUM. The entrees: My pesce-vegetarian sister in law said the salmon was the best shed ever had. My husbands Vienna schnitzel was cooked perfectly and served immediately - still crispy, even on the bottom. Unbelievable. My chicken paprikash was seasoned just right, and I ate more than was strictly comfortable. I dont recall what the others had, but I tasted them and Id go back just to try them again. We tried the baklava (ENORMOUS portions, for baklava - this thing is 2 inches high), walnut cake (kind of a torte with light white cake on the bottom, walnut mousse on top, and whipped cream on that), and the cinnamon roll, served with some kind of incredible buttery sauce that made my brother-in-law make swooning noises. My favorite was the light, not-too-sweet walnut cake. But they were all outstanding. My husband and I are leaving Nashville in a few weeks. I think my biggest regret is not discovering this restaurant sooner. It was the best meal Ive had in a long time. Thank you, sincerely, Cafe Bosna! Best of luck!

To start off Im from Romania (Eastern Europe) and was actually born there! I cannot tell you how excited I was to finally live in a city in the south that has a Eastern European restaurant! Ill start by saying that the food is AUTHENTIC and made from scratch in restaurant! For those wondering about price. Ill admit that its on the higher side however please keep in mind that this isnt some microwaved in a bag restaurant! They actually take the time to make their entrees! So because of that the prices are actually reasonable. If you have someone in your dinner party that doesnt really like exploring different cuisines they do make a chicken cordon bleu thats amazing!!! My only two gripes with this place is the decor and the fact that if you order pop you get a can and refills cost you. These two things however arent enough to take away a star imo. The decor is nice however its missing some elegance. The owner runs the store and makes the food! They remember repeat customers even if its been months since they went back! Its definitely a date night place!

The food was some of the best I have ever eaten. It was prepared by a lovely Bosnian woman who was passionate about her craft. You would be positive you tasted the love in every dish she prepared. The standouts of the meal were the spinach pie, the meat pie, the spicy cabbage soup, and a dish called Jaeger schnitzel. All of the sides served with the dishes were great as well. I was very full, but could not resist trying a piece of baklava for dessert, and found that delightful as well. If you are ever in this area, you will be so sorry if you dont make a stop at this special place. I did want to clarify my rating on the decor. It was very humble, which I found charming, but it depends on your taste. The food was the star. Dont forget to bring your own beer or wine.

Went in. Spent 43 dollars and horrible experience. No refills were asked. Powdered instant coffee. My mom got a soup and she didnt like it so she sat it to the side and the lady asked why she wasnt eating and all my mom said was " it didnt taste good to me but its okay" and the lady gave her a dirty look and said ok and walked away and rolled her eyes and still charged her for the soup. Coffee was fake. No refills . Tried to get sweet tea and it was fruit tea so I asked for something else and she got mad. The food was microwaved. No customer service. Never asked if we needed anything. They were rude to us. Tried to not complain but she kept acting pissy . Never will come here again. Dont waste your money here. Worst place we have EVER been to in our LIFE.

We were delighted to find this charming American/European-style eatery. We started off with a simple soup, (Southwestern Chicken is a staple on the menu) which was the best Ive tasted of that variety. It was served with a generous helping of warm pita bread. I tried the chicken platter (similar to Greek fare of grilled meat, rice, salad & tzatziki sauce). My husband had the schnitzel plate (pork, rice, asparagus & pita), and had enough to take home for seconds. Baklava was delicious! They have a nice selection of salads, pasta, burgers, and plate dinners. Prices were quite reasonable for the quality of both food and service! They also serve breakfast all day and apparently are famous for the ginger omelet, which we plan to try on our next visit.

Cafe Bosna is a must do.. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing time and had really great food. I had the spaghetti my husband who is from the islands had one of the chefs specials the ghoulash. Which he truely enjoyed. We also adventured outside the box and ordered Bosna coffee, my hubby loved it for me it was a taste to aquire but I am adveturous and think everyone should try it. Experience another culture. Oh one more thing I loved the bread. We will be returning. We recieved great service and a visit from the chef herself. Thank you Cafe Bosna for a quiet enjoyable evening with my husband. P.S. if you are looking for a romantic place to dine with your sweetheart this is a great place. A hidden treasure.

We initially went in for some coffee and dessert and found ourselves ordering the spinach dip appetizer. This delicious, creamy dish was made to order (not frozen) and served with warm pita bread. We also spilt the schnitzel plate and chose rice and asparagus served with pita chips - (this was plenty for two). Then followed with baklava and coffee for dessert. The owner was so sweet and genuine, not to mention a great chef. Everything we ate was fantastic and priced perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and next time we’re bringing friends! **********

The food is fantastic!!!! The restaurant inside doesnt look like the food would be high quality, but it really is! The food, I found, was primarily Russian but thats fine because Russians know how to cook good food. I feel like Im saying the same thing over and over in different ways but seriously, point being, GO! DO IT NOW! You wont regret it ;) BTW my kid is a ridiculously picky eater and he thought all the food looked gross but he ended up eating half of my Sarma. I was and wasnt happy about that all at the same time.
