I didnt have a bad experience. I liked the fact they started me on a sampler tray to get use to the soup varieties; most stood out more than others, but ultimately I got the seafood platter (three catfish, three shrimp, three oyster on a bed of French fries with Cole slaw. It was the French fries that did me in; it made it hard for me to finish the entire thing. The whole thing was sprinkled in Cajun spice. Not a bad meal, but, yes, a tad expensive for those of us on a budget not used to spending more than $12 on dinner. Staff was especially friendly, always checking on me during passes of the table. I will be going back, but Ill be spacing out my visits.

While I may not be from Louisiana, I have made Chicken and Shrimp Gumbo before. The Flavor was great (similar to my own recipe) but I was disappointed that we spent $30. The portions were very small and the ingredients in the food were even smaller. Want Chicken and Sausage Gumbo? Be prepared to receive tiny bits of shredded chicken and eraser-sized sausage...and that was the Large order. Thankfully I filled up on the liquid. Good flavor...wishing I made my own. BTW...hushpuppies are ALL breading and no flavor! I know as a business owner there are reasons for cost control but Come On! Its obvious they are trying to save by giving customers less.

The BEST catfish Ive eaten since Ive lived here 11 years. When you first walk in you feel at home when they bring out the six samples of the popular South Louisiana dishes (good ole lagniappe). Being from South Louisiana, I finally found a good seafood restaurant. The fried catfish is dusted with the proper corn flour that is lightly spiced and fried to a golden perfection. The accompanying tartar sauce was to die for. Just the right mix of mayo, pickles, etc. The Cajun spiced fries were just right. My friend had the jambalaya and it was good to. Wait staff was courteous, attentive and friendly. Great Job!

Got the Catfish Etouffee and seafood gumbo. The hostess was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice. The catfish etouffee was pathetic: 3 pieces of fried fish that I could have gotten anywhere on a bed of plain white rice with no cajun spices in sight. The ettufe sauce was bland and unremarkable. Even the bagets were plain. The potato salad was good and the gumbo was not bad, although a long ways from my Cajun grandmothers gumbo. Lost Cajun is to cajun food as Taco Bell is to mexican food. $27 for that dinner- wont be going back.

Amazing food!!!!!!!!! Great customer service even during what seemed to be their busy hours. Im glad my girlfriend and I decided to eat here today. We usually always go to the Mexican restaurant next door but they were extremely crowded and she suggested we try The Lost Cajun so we wouldnt waste the drive. I was skeptical at first but Im glad I went in. I dont even care about the Mexican spot anymore for now on if we drive to Hendersonville to go out to eat were definitely going to TLC!

Waited 30 minutes before someone came and took our order, waited another 30 minutes for somebody to come and asked us what our order was that they lost it. 20 more minutes passed by before we got drinks, so we sat there for a total almost an hour and a half to two hours without any food when we did get our food the po-boy bread was soggy shrimp was overcooked and the catfish tasted like Grease and how can they call themselves Cajun when they dont even serve alligator tail

The was the first time we had eaten at The Lost Cajun... the reviews lead us to drive over from Murfreesboro. To begin with the staff is wonderful. Happily met at the door and quickly seated. And we met Danielle. Personality +++. Great advice, super service. The samples before lunch were fantastic. Started with gator bites. Delicious! I can say the catfish po boy is huge. The potato salad, fries , and come slaw are just as good. We will be back.

The taster samples concept is quite fun and cool! They were all delicious and hard to choose from. The cute fast-food atmosphere was also fun and inviting! Our meals arrived and they were very tasty as expected. Sadly, compared to the price, the portions were not as large as we would have liked. Overall even though the food was good, we were displeased that we had to pay fancy restaurant prices for fast-food atmosphere and appetizer portions.

We love this place! Really good food and great service. Logan was our waiter tonite and he did a super job! Nice friendly guy that anticipates needs! Sometimes we go to higher priced restuarants and the waiters dont even notice we have no silverware! Thats like a lot of times. Not here. They get you what you need and ask for in a timely manner and they are gracious about. Thanks Logan and Lost Cajun for a nice pleasant meal.

Holy crap was it good. I love me some Cajun food. I got the sausage poboy and the sausage and chicken gumbo bowl. Could you make your own roux at home? Sure, but its a pain to make and takes forever. I dont write reviews often, but I had to because I was that impressed with the quality of food. Only ding id give it, is that the sausage portions on the gumbo and the poboy were kind of small.

I ordered gumbo and coleslaw to go. Stephanie was very helpful and friendly in getting my order together and getting me out the door. Gumbo they say is like jazz and is slightly different every time, but the chef here knows how to make a proper gumbo. It was very good as was the coleslaw. Im going to be in the area on business for another few weeks and plan to go back several times.

I am not a big fan of Cajun food but my family wanted to try it so I went along. I know I am no coniseur when it comes to Cajun food but I thought it was amazing! The sampler made my decision even more tough. Ended up ordering the chicken and sausage gumbo AND jambalaya. Will definitely be going back so I can try more choices. The staff was super friendly and love the atmosphere.

Over priced the food is nothing more than food with spice. If Im going to spend the money then wow me.. Your staff is AWesome but your food is below average . Not the place to try for a great value. And nothing tasted fresh...captain Ds is the same.. For the price you ask better give more food... Bottom line if you have the money to waste its OK but CAPTAIN Ds is a better value
