This is a family-ran Chinese Restaurant in the heart of Brentwood. Ive ordered here for years and its my favorite take-out/delivery place around. The owners always remember me and are cordial. The lunch rush is pretty busy but the workers are experienced and always accurate with orders and prices. The food is great, and you cant beat the price considering the generous portions they give you. Order ahead and you wont have to wait. They also offer delivery service, which is probably their forte. The delivery drivers are always fast and very kind. They even remember your names! This place is kind of hidden and not advertised as much, but its the go-to place for take-out/delivery in Brentwood. They even stay open later than most places in Brentwood, so late night delivery is so convenient. Especially during the colder months. I highly recommend this place!

I have eaten at Number One Chinese for a little over a year now. The food is typically good, but dining in service is very bad. On two occassions, I ordered the same entree as my two friends, but they were served 10 minutes ahead of me. There was no apology for the late order. My shrimp fried rice only had 4 shrimp in the one order. The door is proped open for ventilation much of the time, so bugs are always flying in. Lately the amount of food served seems to be skimpy. Dont know if thats due to the economy. If you are looking for a good dining in experience, I suggest going somewhere else.

Mixed review. On the positive side the vegetable soup was very good. The won tons in the won ton soup however were horrible. They smelled and tasted off - I ended up tossing that soup out. The spring roll was nothing more than fried cabbage. Ive heard good things about this place and wanted to try it but I wont be back. There are plenty of really good Chinese places out there.

Great food! For Chinese American food its got great flavor and variety. I dont come here to get waiting on hand and foot or look at art work, get my order in, pay, get food and leave, 100% awesome. Reminds me of little hole in the wall places in NYC and LA were the food is awesome and it feels like you are in some random dystopian novel. New-Americana at its best.

Solid Chinese takeaway. This is not a place to eat and relax and have a great atmosphere, its a kitchen with tables. The lady on the phone isnt rude, just short and to the point. Good portions. Inexpensive. Good for takeout. They have 3 tables in the restaurant. Two are 4 tops and one 2 top. There are no public restrooms here. I tried another Chinese takeout in the area and this one had better tasting food. It was also recommended by co-workers.

While the lady on the phone is very short, I think its because theyre usually pretty busy in there! We love the food and the convenience of the delivery. Our favorites are crab rangoon, special fried rice, general tsos, dumplings, egg rolls and sweet and sour pork!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! THE LADY IS EXTREMLY RUDE AND OUR DELIVERY ORDER ARRIVED 50 MINUTES LATE AND ORDERS WERE WRONG!!! WE PLACED OUR ORDER 1.5 HOURS EARLIER THAN NEEDED IT DELIVERED. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!

The meat used in this takeout restaurant is extremely fatty. I ordered a chicken dish and the meat did not have any similarity to chicken. It wasnt fresh and was greasy.
