9/25/16 = My wife and I have been early morning regulars here for many years. We also go to the Murrells Inlet/Garden City location, and both are great places for breakfast. However, we now give the edge to the Murrells Inlet location, as their cooking of one of our favorites, the "All Good Things" omelet, has been consistently better. The consistent amount of ingredients, and the firmness of the "all egg whites" omelet, makes it so. Today, we had the Humpty Dumpty omlet and the cook put onions in even though the waitress directed otherwise. Also, the amount of ingredients was back to "skimparino". They also dont have the "blue, Equal", sweetener, and Murrells Inlet does. Lastly, Murrells Inlet has real hot water in the mens room vs just "warm", which is better at killing germs. Pawleys Island has experienced some changes this year with their cooking staff and new owner, and Im hoping that things will get back to "great", over time. Both have all great waitresses. 2/28/16 = Its back to being "Abundanza", from the temporary "Skimparino"! My wife and I have been frequently going here for breakfast for many years. When the original owner (and founder of the entire chain) of Eggs Up Grills used to own this first location (new owner is of a few months ago!), he made sure that good word of mouth got around about not only the good Price and Quality of his "Build Your Own Omelets", but also the good Quantity of ingredients of these custom made omelets. Today (2/28/16), we had our fourth identical custom three egg omelet (base price $5.24 includes toast, and choice of home fries or grits) in the last month, and ordered "folded in" bacon ($1.10), spinach (.65), mushrooms (.65), and American cheese (.65). There was a temporary "Skimparino" situation of all the folded in ingredients where the ends of the omelet were mostly layers of egg. The "Abundanza" we got today was a good value at a total of $8.29. We compared that omelet to their Signature Omelet, "Humpty Dumpty", which is also three eggs, and always had more noticeable ham, and 4 other ingredients for $8.51, Our custom omelet, which we prefer, is now back to being a good value. We had told Darrel, the new manager, about the situation to no avail at first, but now all that has changed for the better. All their omelets are back to being a great value since I brought the "Skimparino" situation to the new owners attention. We intend on coming frequently again. It is a shame that some new owners of many restaurants feel that they have to recoup their investment quickly by either cutting quantities, or increasing prices. This new owner, Jason, is not one of them. The quality and quantity is back to the same great value as their "forever", and great head chef, Dave, had always given us! We intend to give the new owner more of our loyalty in the future. We eat breakfast out so often that we go where we get the best value for our money. We equally like the omelets at the Garden City Eggs Up Grille (closer to us in Murrells Inlet), as they have always been "Abundanza". While that temporary "Skimparino" situation was going on in Pawleys Island, we learned from the good waitresses at Garden City that the woman owner of that location has always told her chefs to give increased quantities of whatever was ordered in any signature omelets, when the customer didnt want, say onions, as we dont. I must finish by saying that part of my five star rating for Pawleys Island is due to the good waitresses there. But two of them stand out as truly professional: Lori and Lisa. Their experience shows, as they anticipate our needs, and always fulfill them in a timely manner. Thank God for experience in any field by anyone who strives for true professionalism. They deserve planned, regular raises in my book!

Expect to pay $10+ for generic breakfast food you could have easily prepared in your motel room that morning. This is another overrated restaurant that people seem to love just for the name brand and cultural hype surrounding the place, rather than the actual food itself. I ordered blueberry pancakes with eggs, grits and a cup of coffee. I have to say that every item was uneventful, but the coffee was especially weak and of poor quality. The grits were somewhat interesting from a flavoring perspective. That being said, the pancakes and eggs were frankly awful and bordering on difficult to finish. One of the positive aspects, however, would be the cleanliness of the place. Eggs Up Grill looks fantastic inside. It also seems to operate as a functioning, and customer friendly restaurant with very fast food preparation. Moderately avoid unless you are desperate for breakfast food.

By far our worst experience in mrtyle beach area for breakfast. We had a somewhat large group with 7adults and 7kids. Which can create some delay. But we waited almost 45 minutes for table. Then waited way too long for food. And portions were small and not hot. The biggest most aggravating part was after awful meal we had to wait another 40 minutes to pay our bill. The wait staff could not comprehend how to split bills for each family. After 5 tries and total confusion. I had to ask to ask them to just print individual bills and divided it among my family. So almost 3 hrs for breakfast. Needless to say this is sad.

3/4 golfers to 6 including my 95 yr. old mother ate here every AM for 10 early/semi early AMs days in July 09; had top drawer food and service; excellent staff and breakfast items. Had to write this after reading some of the bogus /former reviews. It just goes to show you that the public can not be pleased just tolerated; these negative folks just have to carve their pound of flesh out of a great breakfast place, with great food and great people; dont let them do it!. Go and enjoy this breakfast establishment; it has great value (Lew H, Megan H, Joy H, Susan H, Bobby H, Becky H from VA.)

My 3 year old son and I ate here on our way back home after a trip to Litchfield. The food was great and the service was good. They quoted me a 40 monute wait when we got there, which almost caused me to turn around and leave. Luckily we only had to wait about 15 minutes. Im glad we stayed! We will definitely be back next time were at the beach.

This used to be a great, kid-friendly place to eat but not anymore. The portions are small. They no longer have a kids menu. They no longer provide crayons and an activity sheet for kids. The staff was less than friendly and the food was mediocre - at best. After being a customer for more than 14 years we do not plan to go again.

I walked in near closing time. The staff greeted me as if it just opened. They had a big crowd before me. The owners keep a large staff on hand. To handle all the work it takes to keep the place flowing. Tables were clean and the staff worked fast to get me eating. Oh yes, I enjoyed my meal.
