Very disappointed, for the second time! My wife and I thought we would give Miyabi a second try, but last night was a repeat of the first visit. When we walked in, the friendly hostess sat us in the sushi bar. No greeting from any one of the three chefs, no ginger and wasabi bowl, and no washcloth . A true sushi bar has chefs that welcome you and immediately hand you the aforementioned items. Well, we waited ten minutes, sitting at the sushi bar, and not even a glass of water... Nothing. We walked out, and not one of the 3 chefs noticed. This is so NOT Japanese style! This same experience happened just 2 months ago when my wife and I came for the first time. The way I see it, the owner lost his way, and is totally out of touch with their clientele. They need to go back to their earlier days, when they were building business. Get humbled, not greedy. I would say that the owner knows what they could "get away" with. To be honest, the display cases looked like they were filled with frozen fish anyway, so no great loss. Never again.

Made reservations for 22 people, so we used 2 tables, wasnt a big deal it was 3 birthdays in one dinner. Table one started getting food before our drinks had been made. At the end as I was passing out birthday cake, we had paid for 3 pictures, only got the chance to take one before a manager and 2 servers started telling table 2 they had to move for the next party. Thats not acceptable in any business. It was done right after everyone had signed or payed the bills. I hadnt even finished with the cakes, or been able to get the other 2 pictures. Then they tried to argue about my money for the other 2 pictures. Eventually got it back, but left extremely frustrated and will never return to any of the locations. We didnt get sat until an hour after our reservation, rushed during dinner then half my party was told they had to leave after paying. Not okay.

We have been going here for 25 years and recommended to everyone we knew but after my last two visits we will be hard pressed to go back. My son cannot eat meat due to a metabolic disease and my daughter and my son will not eat anything other than rice there. So when ordering rice for them both, which has NEVER been an issue before; we were told on the first visit that there had to be two full meals ordered to get just rice for the kids. So the second time we went we order two full meals and rice for the kids and we were told that we could not do that! When my son is unable to eat the other items on the menu or even my daughter who chooses not to eat them then there should be SOMETHING that we can order without being made to feel like crap when just trying to place an order! So humiliated and frustrated! Completely dissatisfied.

They rush you out whether you are done eating or not. Its almost like they click a stopwatch from the time you sit down & you have 45 minutes to eat, pay, & be out the door. You will always leave reeking of grease. They will not customize your sushi order even though the sushi is expensive and made fresh (bizzare.) If you dont get the happy hour special the food is cost prohibitive. The quality of the steak is very poor as they do not cut an ounce of fat off. The cooks almost never cook the seafood properly; it either over cooked or under cooked. The portions of rice are huge, though. Its a fun place for a group as long as you dont plan to spend much time talking. You will always leave with leftovers.

Japanese steakhouse. Bias review, because Im not a fan of these establishments. So, as a general rule, I dont recommend a Japanese steakhouse. Ive been to a few and theyre just "okay". Problem with these types of establishments is theyre more about "entertainment" than the food. The experience is ruined if you get a bad cook. We had a bad cook here, so the experience was ruined and food was over salted and poorly prepared. To be fair, we came later in the night, around 7pm or so, ad most of the cooks were probably ready to be done for the night. Bottom line: dont go to a Japanese steakhouse for food. Theyre also EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. I heard they have a "Miyabi to-go" location and its pretty good.

Im sad to say that we are locals & this was not our first visit to this establishment but it will most likely be the last time we go here we arrived at 4:15 pm for the early bird special & thank god we didnt have to pay full menu price I feel that 19.95 cents is way to much to pay for 5 ounces of steak & 5 ounces of shrimp and very little zucchini more onions than anything & of course they piled about 2 pounds of rice on your plate Im sorry but this is more about entertainment than about food quality & quantity.

This place used to be an average place to eat . It was convenient to call and make reservations with very little wait. But now its very inconvenient to make reservations because , the last 3 times that I did that we had to wait a min 45 minutes. RIDICULOUS . And the excuses from the front desk this last time was hilarious. We were the next table 4 times in a row . Not me I gave my money to a business that was courteous , truthful and prompt . Miyabis is a thing of the past for me and my whole family living here.

Went with my family to celebrate my dads birthday! Made reservations and the only wait we had was waiting on rest of our party to get there... we had a party of 14 and we laughed the entire time we were there..,waiters were great and chef was great with right level of comedic entertainment for our diverse group( elderly, kids and everything in between). Food was also great, well seasoned. Thanks Miyabis for making my dads 73rd birthday a success!

Wish they still did MVP cards for local discount and points. They use to 5 years ago and I asked last week and the girl was clueless! Went 2 times a week when I had the card. Now that its so expensive I go once a month! Come on guys Still amazing show and amazing food! Just wish there was more love for a local who lives 2 streets over

This is the best hibatchi restaurant in the country folks. I have visited them everywhere and have never found one better. Good staff, good chefs, fun times. You cant go wrong. The worst thing is there sometimes can be a wait....but that should tell you something. They have call ahead seating and its a good idea to do that in season.

My husband and I ate here for my birthday on 3-11-16. We made a reservation for 5:00 to beat the crowd. It worked out perfect. I ordered the filet mignon and I like my steak well done, and for some thats hard to get it to that point with out over doing it, but it was awesome. Best I ever had. Cant wait to go back!
