Stoped in last night about an hour before they closed with my wife and 3 children. There were like 3 cars in the parking lot and it was late so we figured some of the quality would be lost in food and service being that it was the end of the night, but boy were we wrong! The food was amazing. We all had the hibachi chicken and it was wonderful! And I cannot say enough nice things about our chef Toy (sorry if I spell it wrong). He was not only a great chef but a super nice guy who joked with us and kept all the kids entertained. I would go back again just for his service and table side demeanor. The food he made was some of the best hibachi Ive ever had. He deserves a raise for sure. Our waitress was also friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone, it was fantastic! Will definitely be back for lunch next time!

Good food but costly as hibachis usually are and friendly staff. We spent $69 before tip on hibachi diners for 2 with 2 sodas and 2 sets of sushi. The prices range from $19-$40 for hibachi with the cheapest being the chicken and shrimp for $19. I had the trio (chicken, shrimp, ribeye) for $25. The grill areas could use a deep cleaning i.e. you can see grease on the hood systems and grime where the grills sit on the tables. Other than that the rest of thr restaurant seemed clean but a little aged (this building has been around for many years with several different change of ownerships). We may go back one day.

Honestly this restaurant is not as good as it sounds. Ive gone 3x times and ea. Time wasworst then the time before.The wait time was ridiculous. The food was not worth the wait at all. The waiters are extremely rude. The price for the food is not worth the pay. Never again. Youre honestly better off going to Papaya or Sushi sakana on BILO... But if youre if you really want to ignore this this and be disappointed by all means go to Yamas. All the above is in my opinion from the 3x times Ive gone.

This place is AMAZING. By far the best in the Beaufort area, and Ive been to almost all of them. Food is the best, and I havent had service this good in years. The waitress was very happy to help us and suggest certain items, and when we were finished, she asked if we wanted to check out the bar and look at the fish. We loved it, it was very nice inside and the best sushi in the area. I would recommend this to anyone.

my family went here one night 4 adults and their individual bills were all around $40 each but then the restaurant rang them up as a party and added a 18% tip to their individual bills when they tried to dispute it the Restaurant would not change it in addition to this they received poor service and had a server who wouldnt come back. Save your time and money and stay away from That place

The hibachi cook, Toy, was awesome! Best hibachi we have ever had (and we have had lots).. The chicken was amazing! Shrimp absolutely delicious as well!! Toy made us a special dipping sauce that enhanced the flavors even more! Service was fast also. Would highly recommend to everyone!!! We will definitely be repeat customers!!!!

This was our third visit and we stuck to the usual; Hibachi meal. The meal comes with ( I thought) soup or salad, and a shrimp appitizer. Check the menu. The salad was nothing but very wet lettuce this time, very unimpressed

I gave it three stars because the food is DELICIOUS!!! The special sauce from Toy was delicious. Everyone needs to try it. The restaurant is not the cleanest, grease residue is everywhere. It needs a good deep cleaning.

We had a great time here! Was a little apprehensive because the place was empty but it was great. My kids loved it and want to come back. The sushi we had (rainbow roll) and the hibachi fried rice and chicken was yummy.

Best and freshest sushi in town! Mitch is an artist, the way its supposed to be done! Hibachi chefs are excellent, as well! More Hibachi options than your usual Japanese steakhouse. Kanpai!

We love Yama! Best Sushi in the area. Fresh, affordable, and their ginger dressing is to die for. My daughter and I go at least twice per month. Yama is a real treat for us!
