We had looked forward to our Beehive breakfast visit for several days and I really wanted to like it but when all was done, I couldnt wait to leave. Getting in requires ducking under a sign, slipping thru the narrow jamb and stepping down simultaneously - a spelunking breakfast place! Once in, they take your order while youre standing and collect the money and the tip. How will I reward good service that way? Then, with our new plastic animal friend, they direct us up the narrow staircase to find a table saying theyll bring the food - only to call me back down (loudly) to pick up the coffee, then send me up again (though there are no spoons to be had for that coffee). This is not working for me so far. The bottom of the table is about 2 inches lower than my knees so there is nothing approaching comfort. The food is brought up and then the delivery person goes downstairs but I have to bring one plate back down as it was covered with an unexpected sauce so I wait for minutes for them to fix things. Finally, they say theyll bring the food upstairs later. The meals, once we got through all these silly annoyances was quite good, hence any stars. Cozy is a way of saying everyone bumps their chairs into your table for lack of space. Two medium-size, good breakfasts for $37. You may like it here but I think you can do better almost anywhere.

Good, Okay and huh? The breakfast is really good here. We ordered the french toast and the pancakes the french toast was amazing. The pancakes were unfortunately heavy and dry. The okay part is paying upfront. We didn’t mind its just kinda weird in this market to pay upfront when other restaurants do that transaction after the meal. The table seating is confusing and that was never explained to us. Basically, when you order and pay, you are given a marker. You have to take that marker (in our case it was horse) and bring it to a table. Then the servers know where to go with the food. The huh part was that we had to also pay for a tip upfront? After the breakfast was brought to us, we ate and then brought the dishes over to a bucket upstairs. Essentially, we cleaned off the table ourselves. Think about that when you are paying for the tip upfront. Overall this place gets a B. The rating is only for the food. Service is lacking.

What a cute and quaint little cafe. The 2 of us ordered 3 egg omelette and the all american. Omelette was out of this world - perfect eggs and fold - all veggies sautéd before adding them - toast and ALL the bread is made FRESH in HOUSE. The all american is french toast - made with fresh bread, bacon, cooked perfectly and not thin, a 1/2" slice of ham - crazy thick, hash browns, which normally dont like but ate all up, 2 eggs - I had scrambled and they were very yellow, which means they werent watered down, taste amazing. needless to say we ate everything on our plates. What a great breakfast. It was a cold morning so they were not too busy and we were served food rather quickly. We complemented them on service and food and speed and they said summers the line is down the street. Regardless, I will be back here again even if theres a line. OH - and its by the water so the views are spectacular! YOU MUST GO!!!

I dont give 5 stars out of principle but this place deserves it. Its a very cute cafe bakery downstairs and a restaurant upstairs (they sell beer, wine, and possibly hard liquor). The atmosphere is warm and pleasant. And the food. The food is incredible. The Beehive specializes in vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, so everyone has something they can really enjoy (they serve meat, dairy, and gluten products too). Everything tastes healthy and fresh, the portion sizes are perfect, and you dont feel gross after you eat. The desserts are also amaaaazing (the mint chocolate chip cake is probably the best thing Ive ever eaten). The service is great too! Everyone is so friendly. In the summer theres outside seating & a deck as well. Highly recommend.

Love, love, love this restaurant! However, they fall a little short with take out orders. Twice in six months my take out salad was missing one item and by the time I opened the box, it was too inconvenient to go back to the café. My fault for not checking both times, but I really shouldnt have to. The second time I called the café to double check if they just happened to change the ingredients in the salad, but they hadnt. I was given an apology and I will return, but guys, double check the orders before the customers leave the café! I know youre busy during lunch, but Im way too busy to go back for a missing item. And again, to all those who read this review, this cafe is amazing, unique food and drinks with amazing desserts!

Unique is the best way I can describes this restaurant. Ive been dining here for years and Ive never had a bad meal. Incredible healthy selections, well prepared with great care. Butternut squash sandwich-taste of heaven on earth! Great baked goods and desserts. If youre in a rush, this is not the place for you. Unhurried, casual atmosphere contributes to its charm. If I could, I would give it 6 stars.

The food was decent, if a bit pricey and the wait was very long. The drinks were good and theres a decent amount of seating, but forget about ordering to go when the house is packed; you and everyone else will have essentially nowhere to stand while you wait for your food. Its got a quaint and kitschy atmosphere and its nice when its slow, but thats a rare opportunity.

The Beehive serves delicious food made with lots of locally grown and produced ingredients, and I love that there are options for my gluten and dairy free son. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey, but we enjoy getting our food to go sometimes and having a picnic down the street by the water. The staff is super helpful and friendly too!

Lovely setting (we ate outdoors), friendly service, delicious food with excellent options (including many gluten free and vegan possibilities). I thoroughly enjoyed my omelet (smoked salmon, mozzarella, avocado), and my boyfriend relished his lemon ricotta pancakes. I love that the table markers are plastic animal figurines. :)

First time customer at the Beehive, and it was phenomenal!!! Loved every mouthful. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious - and healthy! I had the salmon BLT. And everything was priced so reasonably! Oh, and our server was a delight, adding to the enjoyment of the evening. Cant wait to go back when next in Bristol!

Wish the place was a little bigger...usually difficult to find a good seat and/or fit in the door. Otherwise, the food is usually really good (especially breakfast). Banana Fosters pancakes were the best but sadly they dont always have it. Great place to grab breakfast then walk around the cute town.

Me and my wife went for an anniversary breakfast the other day. It was outstanding, food was great, service great and location was perfect. Beautiful little spot in a beautiful town. cant wait to go back. Not really a place id bring my kids only because of its size. which is what i like.lol
