When I dine out, I like to get something that I cant readily make at home. I cant tell you how many times I order a burger at a restaurant, pub or burger joint and have been disappointed. I make a damn good burger myself so when I go out, I want Mexican, middle eastern or Indian. Well, I think Spot Burger has met the expectations. Their burgers are well proportioned in size yet did not fall apart into a mess of loose meat and condiment. Without going any further, thats an accomplishment. I went with three other friends. Each of us ordered a different burger; they have many to offer. We all raved about our selection. All of us resisted ordering the classic burger. Id like to go back to try them all. We split three orders of fries. One order might have sufficed as the portion of fries are so generous. They were thinly sliced and lightly salted. For a guy whole likes more exotic food, I found a venue here for burgers. As a guy who appreciates a well-made classic burger, Spot has surpassed my expectations. Highly recommended and worth the extra few bucks for a truly well-made burger.

The best $8 burger Ive ever had in Philly. I ordered the Roquefort and my wife got the Umami. I actually liked hers a little bit more but both were tender, flavorful, juicy, and didnt fall apart. The buns were fluffy but not stick-to-your-mouth sticky. The grilled onions and mushrooms on mine were a great compliment to the burger. We got ours medium rare and it was just right. They hire people from the neighborhood which shows how much they care about the community and involving the community in their business success. Its also a BYOB so we got beer across the street and brought it in which made it even better. Now the fries are hand cut and fried to perfection. We had to share them because there were so many. Its hard to find a place whose fries are up to par with the burgers but Spot does it right. Ill be back many times and bring my friends as this is one of the few places on Girard Ave in Brewerytown that has the quality of food and kind staff that deserves repeat business.

I usually grab food here 3-4 times a month and I really like the food plus the owners are very nice people, but today I was very disappoint. I walk in and theres 3 young teenagers on line working, thats wasnt really a problem to me...this was.. The young lady at the register was on her phone texting and eating fries from the fryer section the whole time I was waiting on my food.. Mind you she didnt wash her hands and its just not a good look for a business to be eating on line.. Another thing was that the young man who was on the grill did not wash his hands or wear any gloves. NO ONE was wearing gloves. Idk what was going on with this please today...then to top it off , one of my burgers was made wrong and both of my fries were overcooked.. What a waste of my time and money

I was immediately drawn to the Ponderosa Burger, which features mushrooms and swiss. It was a great juicy burger and worth the drive over from the Philly Zoo which is just over the bridge. We were there on a Saturday afternoon just as the lunch rush was ending. There was metered parking just across the street. The wife ordered the Spot Burger which I will try next time just based on the tasty looking slaw. The staff were great, and particularly friendly. If youre eating at the counter or the high tops tucked into the corner they may engage you in conversation. I would come back again, many times.

This place is soooo good. I eat here at least once a week. If they delivered it would be even more often. They have a an interesting and super tasty special every week in addition to an excellent menu of burgers, steaks and other sandwiches. But really, the best part is the fries. They are so, so fresh. I dont know what they fry them in, but it is not the usual veg oil. Its outstanding! The staff is friendly and welcoming. I really cant say enough good things about Spot. In a city full of great restaurants, this is a standout.

Ive only eaten here once but I was very happy with my order. The big mick is definitely a big Mac in every sense of the word but sooooo much better. Bigger, meatier, saucier. Exactly what I thought it would be when reading its description. Perfection. The fries r decent. Not super memorable but theyre fries. They played their part. I got the cheese fries. Very very basic cheese whiz used. Fries not super crisp. Not a bad thing; thats just the type they serve. Definitely will order from here again if I have a burger hankering.

SpotBurger is more than just amazing food, the staff makes you feel like part of the family. A friend of mine works at Drexel and would eat at Joshs food cart (it predated the restaurant) three times a week. We walked into the new location at 28th and Girard and Josh greeted us like we were family. Not only does SpotBurger serve up an incredibly delicious meal, but they treat you like more than a customer. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who enjoys a genuinely great meal experience. Seriously, GO TO SPOTBURGER

I just finished my first Spot burger a few minutes ago. I got the Rodeo burger, which was interesting and yummy. Spicy from the jalapenos, sweet from the barbecue sauce, salty from the meat and cheese. A good balance of flavors. The burger wasnt greasy at all, which was actually kind of surprising ( in a good way). Lol Ive just grown to expect greasy burgers. The place was very clean, and the ladies behind the counter were nice. I wasnt knocked off my feet by the burger, but I would definitely go back!

Overpriced and flavorless. We were very excited to try their burgers after seeing some pictures on their website. Sadly, myself and all three of my friends were extremely disappointed. The food is simply covered in oil and the only flavor any of it had was from the butter. All of us felt sick and disgusted after the meal. I would suggest going to five guys over the spot any day. Moreover, the service needs improvement. We were greeted by an unfriendly and rude cashier while picking up the order.

So good. Lots of great burger combinations, and theres usually some kind of funny daily special, ranging from Chicken Wraps to Soups to whatever they come up with.Im a big fan of the Charlie Brown for a hangover. Split the fries if you go with 2 or 3 people. Be willing to grab-n-go as the space can be a little tight. Cant wait to try the Cheesesteak!

The burgers are awesome but i think im going to refrain from ordering here for awhile. They dont appear ready for a following. 80% of the time i go to order, theyve closed extremely early. Much earlier than their posted hours. Frustrating and makes them very hard to recommend to anyone. Nice idea but they make it way too hard to support.

Simply excellent. If you are a bigger junkie you will appreciate these. The variations of toppings blend really well together, you get a choice of how you want the meat cooked, good fries. They have it down. They are available on UberEats and my delivery was still very warm, well packaged, and delightful to look at.
