Great in all respects, except for one complaint My wife and I had a wonderful dinner last evening at the Bay Pony Inn. We enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. I had a great lamb shank, the best I have had in years. What I did not like was that when I asked for a wine list of the wines sold by the glass, the waitress said that there was no list and that she would have to verbally tell me. I said that I would like a written menu of the wines offered and their prices and she said that there was none. Between work and family, I eat out in restaurants a little over 125 times a year. This is the first time in several years that I encountered a restaurant not having a list of wines available by the glass and the prices thereof. I do not respect the very few restaurants that do this (now including the Bay Pony Inn), because I want to know both the available wines and their prices, and I don’t want to have to ask for the prices. I have been told over the years that the few restaurants that do this do so to increase their wine sales because most people are too embarrassed to ask about the prices. I do not like this business practice. When I order anything in a restaurant, I want to see the price in writing. I do not want to be billed a higher price later because “the price in the computer was changed,” as I have been told before at other restaurants. This business practice is not consumer friendly. In my case, I am hearing impaired. This business practice is unfair to people with hearing impairments like me, and the Bay Pony Inn does not seem to care. Everything else was great. I first went to the Bay Pony when I was a teenager and now 20 some years later, it still cant be beat. I have tried a number of entrees and I have never had a bad one. The Sunday Brunch is wonderful as well. The food is made with care and the atmosphere is beyond words. As soon as you walk in, it is warm and comfortable. You are made to feel welcome right away. The dining room is beautifully decorated and the staff is wonderful. I only wish I was closer to eat there more often, but its certainly worth the hour drive to enjoy the ambiance of the Bay Pony.

Went for Sunday brunch a week ago, quiche sounded good but wasnt cooked long enough, still totally liquid in the middle. Did not ask for it to be corrected, as the wait for the quiche was quite long to begin with. Waitress was flummoxed by our large party and our request to have separate checks. Was argumentative with us that we should have explicitly told her separate checks at the beginning of the meal. Unfortunately, I was not overly impressed with service or food.

Great place for drinks and food. Service is good, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. The owners always make you feel welcome. The inn is warm and comfortable and has great history. In the past there were even rumors of gambling and sensual delights. The food and service have been consistent for years. Weve held several Christmas parties here for our company.

Have dined there before, however at recent lunch they must have been shorthanded as service was poor. Ambiance good as usual. Food was good, Prices a tad high.. Biggest complaint was that Host, who I know from place before this ownership, did not offer any regret etc. over the situation. Felt he was bla*se and should know better. HFG.

Was there for mothers day. It was crowded, but thats to be expected on a busy day. Food was really good, and the wait staff did an excellent job taking care of the large quantity of people. We will definitely make this our new mothers day place, and will be trying it soon for a date night dinner.

I hosted an educational seminar last week. The facility, the food and the service were exceptional. Our server Emily was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed the food and my event was as successful as I could have hoped. Thank you Elaine, Eduard, Florence and Emily.

a beautiful, cosy country tavern! must visit. such kind service, love the old interiors and horse themed memorabilia. flatbread and pasta were so good, and the dessert was on another level. cant wait to come back when im in the area next

A fine inn. Ive had dinner there in the old dining room and attended a party in the larger room. Food is solid and service is pleasant. I would like to eat in the rail car, regardless, its neat to see there.

Very disappointed... Came here to celebrate and left disappointed. There were many items on the brunch menu that never made it to the buffet. Service was extremely slow
