On Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 , we decided to have dinner at Basta Pasta, Skippack. From the very beginning, the service was poor. We were directed to the closest table near the kitchen :( We decided to move. After choosing a different table, the rest of the evening was laced w/ poorly veiled bad customer service. The ordered beer was serve w/o a glass- one had to be requested; we had to request the bread basket and dipping oil. When we requested salt and pepper to be placed on the table, the server stated - most people do not ask for them-. The server apologized FIVE times for various over sights - before the main course even arrived !!!! When the dinner arrived, the Cook was blamed for not properly preparing the meal -part of the dish was omitted. When the Manager was requested, she offered a half-hearted apology and free dessert!!! Mind you, our final tab would have been well over $75.00-but,her best gesture was an offered $5.99 dessert. At that point, I decided to leave ! Note: There were several other tables that were occupied.We didnt hear any complaints from those tables . However, we were the only Caucasin/African American Couple dining !

Had a wonderful lunch at BP - we were seated quickly and served by Brian who was friendly and attentive without hovering. we dtarted with garlic knots which were fresh and warm - yum! I had the grilled chicken panini and shared the calamari appetizer while my son had the chicken parm panini. All were excellent with large portions and flavorful and moist chicken. The topper was the very fresh cannoli dessert which was rich and smooth with crunchy shells as it should be. The meal was reasonably priced as well. I will return when Im in the area which I hope will be soon!

Worst restaurant Ive been to in many a year. Food was either tasteless (salad) or murky, oversalted glop. Very very overpriced. A meal with a plain pizza, soup, salad, one sour glass of wine, one flat soda, and some spaghetti was $75 with a tip (for two adults and a child). Ridiculous. Service was unprofessional and annoying. This was a surprise to us.

EVERY time we eat at Basta Pasta-we are delighted by the great service and the fantastic food! The staff is so friendly and even on their busiest nights they are never too busy to smile and take great care of their customers. The open kitchen allows you to see how hard the chefs works on each meal to make it just perfect for their guests!

The food and drinks are great. I generally go to the cabana bar as its fun and outside, but their servers are absolutely terrible. Not just because its busy but theyre almost always rude and dont seem to care about being there. Its a huge disappointment as Id stop by more frequently if it wasnt such an unfriendly vibe.

We showed up close before closing, they still let out group of 10 people in .. and then served hands down one of the best meals in a long time! A gluten free, and a vegan meal included, veal cooked to perfection, and awesome pizzas! Service was really good and quick! Highly recommended!

One of my favorite restaurant in Skippack! Its not super expensive but my hats off to the cooking team. I love the lobster raviolis and the calamaris are the best around. Same for the pizzas; when we lived in Skippack we would always order from there. A must place to dine out.

We were there for a private party in the back room. Unfortunately they still allow smoking in the back bar area, this is sectioned off from the back room but they obviously share vents- you could smell the smoke, never a pleasant experience when you are eating.

Young urban professional atmosphere, that hasnt aged well. Great Outdoor bar with live music a little crowded. Inside a traditional Italian restaurant with great light fare and excellent full meals. Try the margarita pizza if youre into that sort of thing.

Good foid. I would give a better rating except the bar aerver was neglectdul and rude. I continue to visit but not the bar section, there i will never step foot in. They do get some good music, but will now wait until they play outside

Fabuloso! Perfect choice for any meal of the day. Every selection is fantastic. The service is professional and very friendly. Basta Pasta is a comfy venue with a great atmosphere. Visit and then visit again!

Popped in for some wine and a bite to eat after an event at Floral and Hardy last Thursday evening. Had the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and it was fabulous. Just the right size for a late bite!

Ive only been the the outdoor Cabana Bar. It is great drinks and bar food. Atmosphere is awesome. Great place to hang out listen to music and watch a game.
