About the only thing that made the experience worth while was the fact that Cactus Blue is a BYOB and I was able to drink frozen maragaritas with my favorite tequila. Mexican food is a favorite of mine and I heard a lot of people raving about Cactus Blue. Every ounce of food I ate was bland and tasteless. We had tamales as an appetizer and they were very bland and without the fresh salsa would have been unedible. The entrees(steak tacos and chicken enciladas) were also very bland. The steak in my fiances tacos didnt have any taste and was very tough. The chicken enchiladas were exactly the same. Both of us were very excited about dinner at Cactus Blue, but afterwards were very let down. I would definetly not recommend this restaurant. Take a ride to La Lupita on the southside!

Used to be a favorite lunch spot to buy food for staff meeting. Today was dismal. Our online checkout said the food was for 1 PM. I arrive and the waiter told me it was put in for 1:15. Then could not give me a receipt which was a problem because it is a business expense. He was a laissez-faire jerk about the whole thing. My enchilada was swimming in water at the bottom of the dish giving the meal the texture of a wet diaper, and they messed up another order. It wasnt like they were real busy so no excuses there. Sad that a place that is usually good could be this abhorrent today. Their incompetence made a mess of staff meeting since we had to start alate and rush through. Ill be skipping this place from now on.

If this is the best that the Lehigh Valley has to offer, I wont be eating much mexican food here. The service was almost non existent, we recieved our complimentry chips (about 12 to 15 chips for two people with no offer of a refill) and our drinks were never refreshed. When we finally recieved our food it was very bland. I ordered the beef tacos (very dry and tastless) and my guest ordered the chimichanga. The gaucamole was so salty you could barely taste the avacado. There surely is a better offering of mexican food around here I guess we will keep looking.

Delicious tacos, guacamole and quesadillas are on the menu here. For takeout or staying in the food tastes great and has a ton of flavor. The tacos are big and tasty and the baja fish ones are particularly flavorful. The quesadillas are awesome as well with a good mix of tortilla and inside. The chips and guac are incredible as well. I really couldn’t stop eating the delicious fluffy homemade chips for way too long. There is no where else in the area with such good Mexican food.

The food was pretty hit-or-miss. My burrito was great, but the rice tasted like a boxed microwave option, and the queso was more like the cheese sauce on a Philly Cheese Steak (again, from the microwave). The service was slow and inattentive, but it was accurate. With so many incredible restaurants in more convenient locations, I dont expect this one to stick around, but maybe I just got unlucky. I wish them the best of luck.

This has become our standby place for good Mexican food. The lunch specials are tasty and prices are really good. My husband likes the chicken tinga and I tend to order the cheese enchiladas or chimichanga. The plate is full when it comes to you, so I always end up bringing leftovers home for another meal. If you bring alcohol and marguerita mix, theyll help you shake it up in the kitchen!

Man, what a place. Best Mexican Ive had in a long time. Their meat is out of this world good. I was amazed by the pulled pork. Then I had the steak... Sooo good. They give you so much food, and it isnt covered in cheese. Our waitress was really good for helping us make great choices. NOTE: Its a BYOB. Dont expect to order a beer. But bring tequila, and theyll make you a Margherita.

Always a go to when visiting family in the Valley. They have some amazing dishes and a nicely spicy tomatillo sauce that is out of this world. For those out there with a gluten allergy, the Manu is easy to navigate and offers a large amount of options to keep you safe from a reaction. Well done, and keep up the great work!

My new favorite Mexican restaurant! Authentic and delicious food! I had the both the tacos Blue and tacos Baja. Our friendly waitress recommended the fried cod and Im glad she did! My husband loved the Andys Tico Rico which had chorizo, spicy sausage. Portions are large and the chips are thick and crunchy. Will be back!

I dont have photos of the burrito I ordered because I left my phone in the car, but it wasnt on my plate long as I tore into it with gusto. I had half left over the next day and was sooooo happy because I just craved it as soon as I woke up. I didnt get it smothered in the toppings, easier to eat. Guacamole is amazing!!

A mediocre-to-good meal hampered by a bland pico de gallo salsa with the chips we got at the beginning of the meal. This is a Mexican restaurant several steps above a chain, but not as tasty or as fresh as a smaller family-run place elsewhere. Worth a visit.

This is one of my familys favorite restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. The have wonderful traditional Mexican cuisine, not TexasMex. Great service and I recommend that you call for a reservation if you are eating there for dinner.

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant, great food! Go here atleast once a week and recommend it to all my friends! Highly recommend the "tacos blue" because thats what I get every single time. Also, great chips and salsa.

Ive eaten at Cactus Blue multiple times over the years. The service has been generally solid although on busy nights it is sometimes hard to get a table. More importantly, the food is great. Authentic Mexican food.

Delicious enchiladas. The mild sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes. Also, chicken tasted fresh, with just the right amount of seasoning, garlic and chilis. Salsa was freshly made, with a touch of jalapeño heat.

Ive eaten here for a number of years and the quality of the food has gone down. The last few chix burritos have been dry and bland. The guacamole is so-so and the salsa has too many jalepenos.

Food was very tasty but I think the prices are a bit high for the type of food they serve. Ive eaten at plenty of other authentic places that offer more reasonable prices.

The food is always great here. Some of the best authentic Mexican in the Lehigh Valley. The only reason I rated this a 4 is because the service is sometimes slow.

Excellent food. The enchilads are my favorite. I go there at least 4 times a month. The prices are really resonable, and with it BYOB, you save money.

Great lunch price and service, filling serving size and excellent flavors. Will be adding this to our weekly rotation for lunch spots.
