To start off the food was good; however, when pairing great food with pretensions service, it ruins the experience. This was our first time at the restaurant and was trying to figure out what we wanted (on a 6-7 page menu) and we were looking through several waiters, several times kept asking if we were ready, while this was nice, it became too much when they added "are you ready yet?" (in a surly tone). When we were ready to order - "you are FINALLY ready". That really gave us a bad impression, wasnt too impressed with the service at this point. To end the experience; I think the owner, (incredibly arrogant) questioned me on my tip "is that all you leaving?", I expressed Yes. No question of what may have been wrong or anything of the sort, just "is that all you are leaving". I will NOT be returning to this establishment.

Woman at the counter was very surly and impatient. Didnt know her own menu. No smile. Barely a thank you or a greeting. We tried to be pleasant with her to no avail. Not a good first impression. We got takeout Chinese. A volcano salad and sweet and sour chicken. I threw half of the volcano salad away. The only volcano it did was in my stomach. Egg drop soup ok, hard to mess that up. My wife ate half of the sweet and sour chicken, threw the rest away. She also had won-ton soup. Threw half of that away. No taste to it. Maybe they are OK for sushi but what we got was really poorly prepared and little taste. We wont go back there. Our search for an excellent Asian restaurant continues. This wasnt it.

I went there yesterday for lunch with 10 people almost all of whom had never been there and we were served superb Asian food. I recommend everything that we shared. The fancy dragon, lobster. and spicy tuna roll, and shrimp, chicken and beef stir frys with vegetables were about the best tasting Asian food Ive ever had. Its BYOB and that helps out the cost of eating out. Its got a minimalist décor but its not going to embarrass you if your date wears heels and a skirt. I dont understand the few lousy reviews below but it seems that you either love the place or hate it depending on how well your server speaks English

The sushi here is great...however the customer service provided here is poor. My total came out to less than $20, and when leaving what I thought was an adequate tip for a low cost, poor service meal ($3), the woman was watching me write on my receipt and said "minimum tip (something? I couldnt understand her. I think she said 15) percent.".....uh....I have NEVER been TOLD that I NEED to leave a certain amount of tip. Very rude. And she did the same thing to my friend who was paying cash and had just got his change back. Almost mad that he wasnt tipping fast enough. Rude and unprofessional. Wont be coming back.

I bought take-out here last night (3/25/14); my first visit to this restaurant. This is probably the best Chinese food I have ever had! I got sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup, and eggplant with beef. The chicken and beef were both very tender and NOT grissly or chewy, as Ive had at other restaurants. Everything I got was delicious. I will definitely return here...OFTEN...and highly recommend it! Also, in response to a previous review, my receipt had the name, address, and phone number of the restaurant, and DOES show the amount of sales tax, so Im not sure what they were referring to.

We went there first time today. We were excited and hoping to have a good experience but the guy in charge behaved very rudely and was showing racial discrimination towards us. We dont know if it was the owner or the manager. We ordered 5 to 6 entrees but we left the restaurant before eating because of his pathetic manners. He had no manners to deal with the customers. This was our very first experience and most probably the last one too. All we asked was if we could sit at the booth instead of the table instead of telling us nicely he said nooo very rudely and starting fighting with us.

I dont leave reviews but people need to know what they are getting before they drop 25-30$ on a meal. I ordered udon soup and eel/ squid sashimi. Not only was the eel and squid disgusting and bland but so was the udon soup. The broth as simply watery broth. I ended up vomiting later. If you like bland sickening expensive food...go ahead. Do yourself a huge favor and try mister lees. I told myself i should have gotten mcdonalds.

ZERO STAR!!! Rude! Rude! Rude! owner or the person at the front! He put my soup in paper bag without any plastic, when I left the place, the bag was ripped right away and the soup splashed on me and the ground, no need to say its frustrating. the rolls was made sloppy and sushi rice isnt fresh. for 6 rolls I got two packs of soy sauce and one stick. He didnt even ask how many people is this for. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Not a suitable place for workers. They do not issue itemized receipts other than a paper without their name on it. Looks like they are hiding taxes from their sales. Not a good business to support if you are a tax payer. Prepare that your company will not reimburse your business meal because their receipt is the same as the face that you will see inside. Disgusting!

Good food but bad service... I started ordering and the lady really blatantly rushed me and my wife. It may have been the end of her shift but be nice... wow. This wasnt the first time I had bad service here but I thought give them another chance. Just walked out with my wife and kid the lady was extremely rude. Sucks cause I was hungry lol.

This continues to be our first choice when we dine out. The food is fresh, the fish is high quality. The owner is engaging and gracious. The Sushi chefs are very creative. Besides the that strange review from the apparent tax collector, everyone I know loves this place. Sushi, Chinese and Thai. Lunch specials are great, and inexpensive.

Food is good but the customer service was terrible. I had a bad experience here with the waiter because of how rude he is and he asked me and my friends for more tips. Because of the poor service, we are not coming back to Bamboo again. Sorry!

Bamboo is a very nice place with above average quality and flavor. I tend to order off the Chinese side of menu, but everything I have had there was well prepared and flavorful. The staff is attentive and patient.

The food is great, fresh, and at a good price. I think it is an incorrect that people would call the rice in the sushi "unfresh". The rice is obviously mixed with vinegar to give off a nice aroma and taste.

I always found the service lacking but kept going here because I liked the food. But last two meals where not good and terrible! First had overcook vegetables and meat. The second gave me GI trouble.
