After nearly six months of trying to convince my husband to try a new restaurant, we finally made it in on a Friday night. When we entered, we were greeted and seated immediately, which seemed to bode well. Little did I know that was to be the only positive note of the entire dining experience. After some lively discussion by my husband and I over the menu selection and prices, we settled on Cannelloni for him, and Veal Marsala for myself, as well as a Caesar salad for each of us. The bread tasted bland, personally Ive gotten better bread from my local Costco than that, and the Caesar salads were mediocre, with some odd mixture of cream, lemon juice and pepper masquerading as a Caesar dressing. His Cannelloni was disgusting, the amount of pepper that had been liberally infused throughout the entire dish overpowered any flavor that the other ingredients might have had. My Veal Marsala was the most laughably overpriced dish Ive had from a restaurant in over six years, I dont know what that meat actually was but it could NOT have been Veal, neither the flavor nor the texture was even vaguely reminiscint of anything related to a cow, even distantly. I felt inclined to look for a jockeys crop marks, but was unable to find them through the liberal coating of roughly chopped parsley that was smothering the entire dish. My husband did not eat all 3 of his Cannelloni, and I only ate the entirety of my meal because I am too stubborn to pay $23.95 for something I dont even eat. When one of the waitstaff came to ask if my husband would like a box, he honestly answered "No, take it, its disgusting!" at which point that waitress promptly disappeared with his plate without saying a word. At one point a man (whom I can only assume was the owner of the restaurant) came by and asked us what we thought of our food, my husband inquired if he was "serious?!" When the man only nodded, we informed him that this was the worst meal weve ever had, my Veal was the toughest meat Ive EVER had in a restaurant, at which point he could not make his escape fast enough, with only a "Im sorry to hear that" blurted out before he hurried away from our table, after which all the wait staff proceeded to make us feel incredibly unwelcome while we waited for our cheque to arrive. We will NOT be going back to Abella. Im only sad that it took us $47 to learn that there are in fact NO good Italian restaurants in Wilsonville.

First, the good. Abella has fantastic food- very good quality pasta, even though it is a bit on the expensive side. Next, the issues. My finace and I meet some friends from work at Abella, planning on having dinner and seeing a movie. When I arrived, we told the server we were still waiting for one more (my fiance), but I would go ahead and order for them so we could catch our 6:40 movie (it was 5:40 at this time). She said she understood, took my drink order, and we didnt hear back from her. Fiance arrived around 6:10... we had to flag the girl down again, and she blew us off with a "just a minute"... ten minutes later she was back to take our order. We explained we were in a hurry and ordered, but our food still took a good twenty minutes. And multiple drink glasses sat empty for a long time, even though the server promised to "fill them up" when she passed by. Once we were done, and our plates cleared, she was there immediately with the dessert tray and the bill, go figure. Needless to say, we missed out movie.

I live close by so convenience and the taste for halfway decent Italian food has made me choose this place at least a dozen times. Coming from San Francisco I have a lot to measure the restaurant by. Their premeal bread is great, especially with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar that they leave on the table. The ceasar salad is much too dry without nearly enough dressing on it (Ive ordered it twice hoping it would be better the second time). I would ask for additonal dressing (though no one should go through the hassel if it were truly a good salad). Their butternut squash raviolis were a huge dissapointment (one of my favorite Italian dishes) because they were sparse in the amount of stuffing they had and over oily. What I and my husband do appreciate is their fettucine alfredo, steamed zuchini, and their side of gnochi with marinara sauce. The service/waitresses need a brushup on good service overall...they tend to have the personalities of an ant.

Pretty sure we got food poisoning from Abellas... Both my husband and I were up all night tossing and turning with cold sweats, vomiting and other uncomfortabe side effects I wont go into deatil on. For the money we spent and the experience we got I can say we will not be returning nor will we recommend this place to family, friends or the public. I dont know what makes me more concerned, this terrible feeling that has kept me home from work or the thought of what the heck was in our food to make us this ill. Just wanted to share our experience and possibly caution others.

Ive been here once for lunch and once for dinner. Highlights: The bread was fresh from the oven and had a nice chewy crust and soft center... Plus garlic infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The house pesto dressing is delicious! All 4 people in my lunch party had something different for an entree and none of us were disappointed with our selections. I went back again for dinner with my husband and both of our meals were pretty overcooked. We both agreed it was just very average. Bottom line, I think this is a fine place for lunch or happy hour, but not a nice dinner.

Went on a Monday evening, ordered togo. Not the friendliest of staff, but not rude. Food was ok, but for higher-priced Italian I expected more. Ordered eggplant parm and penne pasta special with shrimp. Received 3 dollar pancake size eggplants and smaller portion of spaghetti. Special was ok, but only had 6 shrimp. Again, not the best, but certainly not the worst. Really wanted to like this place as there are only a few Italian restaurants around. Probably wont go out of my way to come back.

Just moved to Wilsonville and was really hoping for a nice locally owned place to frequent. However, after having dinner there last night I was quite disappointed and will not go back. Dont get me wrong----the food was good, but we waited FOREVER for drinks, bread, dinner, the check, etc. It seemed like they were understaffed for a large party and couldnt keep up with the rest of the smaller parties. I also thought for the amount of food we got it was very pricey.

The food was excellent. Taste great! Great portions. Who ever wrote about the portions being small must be a really heavy eater. Im 6 ft and 264lbs and I left with my tummy full. The inside of the restaurant is very classy and the waitress was very nice. The music inside was soft and soothing to the ears. Just a nice relaxing environment to go eat a delicious meal. Im glad I found this place. Me and my wife will be back again.

Our first visit here, we both had a by the glass red, each was terrific. We split a green salad and the soup of the day, a butternut squash soup - both were wonderfully tasty. For entrees, I had the Heirloom Tomato Ravioli (the special) and my wife had the Lasagna. We each sampled the others meal. Both were excellent. For dessert we had the Marionberry Cheesecake - also delectable! Even the coffee was superb.
