I thought I would take my husband and kids out to a nice dinner. What a mistake. The waitress pushed their bread and said kids love it. We went ahead and had her bring some out without knowing there was a charge for it. Then they don't have a kids menu which is fine, so the waitress said we could order a half order of the pasta for the kids. When we get the bill she charged us for a full meal for each of our three kids. Oh and she asked if the kids wanted sausage or meatballs with their meals, without bothering to let us know there is a charge to add EACH meatball or sausage. For how much we spent we could have went to a really nice dinner!! You are better off going to the next exit and hitting Olive Garden.

If you are looking for Olive Garden, this "aint" it. ;-) Good thing I did not read the reviews before going. I had a nice relaxing lunch. The prices higher than I nomally pay for lunch, but fair for the quality you get. My sandwich was fantastic. I was allowed to relax and imagine I was back visiting Western Europe. I would not go so far as to say Italy, but closer to Italy than I would get at Olive Garden (and I do like Olive Garden as well.) This is probabally not the best place for small kids and if money is an issue you do have to pay attention* to what you order. *Just like you would in anywhere else. I will be back soon to see if I like some of the other choices as well.

Skip this place, the food is awful. I ordered the Eggplant and my friend got the lasagna. When they arrived they were identical looking - a 4x4 square of food in a dish flooded with a lackluster sauce. Pretty sure theyd been frozen and re-heated. The eggplant was so tough I couldnt cut it and had to just pull the thing apart. We didnt get any bread - didnt realize it was extra until we were into the meal. In an Italian place, are you kidding me? And for these prices? Robbed. Go anywhere else. plus if youre not from around here, the lake is a concrete pond in the middle of town known as the fake lake to locals! Its ok, but dont expect anything natural.

We found this place almost entirely by accident. We like to dine at the restaurants around the lake in Tualatin, but we had become bored with the usual ones. We were walking around the lake one night and we passed this place. It was late, and they were closed, but we said we would try it some other day. We were NOT disappointed! The cuisine is inventive but very good, and the atmosphere is relaxed and open. The staff was very helpful and the service was prompt. Best of all the prices were reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Call me old fashioned, but if I can't get around the waiter to pull the chair out for my wife, I fully expect that he extend her that courtesy. The wine was opened and sat on the table leaving me to pour it. I was told that the chef would not prepare a spicier carbonara...I don't know, but it all seemed well below par. The food overall was just okay...(at best) nothing that I believe was truly from the region described on the back of the menu. Olive Garden may be a more accurate reflection.

Really good food and fair portions. I dont know what some of the other reviewers were talking about. The portions were great and the quality was very good. The bread costs extra but its really good parmesan garlic bread that goes wonderfully with the olive oil and vinegrette. No, its not an Olive Garden but thats a plus in my book. The dinner wound up nicely with gelato and spumoni for desert. Id have no problem recommending this place to my friends and family.

Shan has created one of the best restaurants in the greater Portland area. Who knew that someone from Malaysia (no Italian heritage at all) could out do some of the name Italian eateries in Portland! Lasgna: superp! I cannot recall what the rest of our party of four had, but the "hmmms" were frequent and sincere (sincere "hmmms" are those murmured with eye-closed and slow if any chewing). Go. Say "Selamat" to Shan, which he will return with a "Terima Kaseh".

Good food, good service, fine dining with a great view. This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately their prices are pretty expensive, I got some bread, soda and some shrimp spaghetti; it came out to be like 30$ for myself. It really is a classy joint, and I appreciated the service. But the prices are really ridiculous, if you choose something on the lighter side of the price, it comes out to be around 24$+ Good Business, otherwise.

To make it short and simple, dont even think about this resturant. It is by far the worst food i ever had in my life. in addition to the fact the food is discusting, we found a peice of hair in the food. tried to talk to the owner but she doesn.t care. all she cared about is to take my card and charge it. in short if you are looking for discusing food and you like hair in your food that would be the right place.

Great food and location, this place has the best Italian food around short of downtown Portland. The owner/chef is from Malaysia, it really comes through in his cooking and gives the food a slight spiciness which really adds to all of his dishes. Good menu selection, and great desserts. Expect to pay about $17 per plate on average, well worth the price compared to what you will get at Bridgeport.

HORRIBLE!!! The food was way over priced for what you get. The food was boring nothing at alllll to brag about! And to top it off the $2 tip i regret giving turned into $7, so not only do they overprice thier food......They steal your money! Definitly agree, the food reminded me of a TV dinner too. Theyre "sauce" tasted like the packets of brown gravy you get at the store.

The food was the best Italian food in town. Way better than the Olive garden crap. Right on the pond. If its warm enough out, its a great view eating outside next to the pond. Very good price!!!

Fantastic food, beautiful ambiance at the lake. Prices are higher than a chain restaurant, and portions a bit smaller, but the flavor more than compensates. Will definitely return.

Ive eaten here about a half dozen times and the food has always been great. I dont understand the bad reviews at all. The service isnt the greatest but its not bad.

I really enjoyed myself here, with the view of the pond and the excellent lasagna special, the price was fair, and the waiter was very attentive.
