In the 2 years that Ive been in Belmont (a year and a half of that right up the hill), I cant believe I never tried the deliciousness that is Vivace until yesterday! From their dipping oil for their bread to the chocolate hazelnut gelato dessert, I found myself pledging that Id be back this weekend. Service was friendly (perhaps because my friend and I were accompanied by regulars who knew the owner) and main dishes were served simultaneously and piping hot. I had their spinach stuffed pasta (really, theyre ravioli) with marinara and sage butter...a dish that tastes like it could have been put together by a loving, modern, Italian grandma! This is the BEST, if not only, place in Belmont to get fantastic Italian food!

The only drawback I can think of for Vivace is that it is so popular (and for good reason) that it can get a bit noisy. But Mike is wonderful, the staff is loyal and are always thinking of ways to surprise you. The food is consistently very good.

Consistently good Italian food with a nice selection of Italian wines and serviceable cocktails. Had a great squid ink pasta with seafood and everything was fresh and deliciously steeped in white wine.

Nice cozy restaurant with excellent decor. Wine selection is pretty good and vegetarian pizza was awesome too. I will definitely come back for more. A bit noisy though on a Friday eve.
