I find it interesting how often people comment that the taproom is "in the middle of nowhere". Really its 2 minutes off the Fremont Bridge. What the taproom has going for it is soo much places downtown or in NW dont have. Theres plenty of available parking, ample seating indoors or outside, the neighborhood is quiet. Then you get to the beer and the food. This could very well be one of the best happy hours in town with an excellent food menu, quite reasonably priced. The beers are solid industrial microbrew, but they do seasonals and "project" beers that can often be quite a find. Prices for food and beer are far better than their McMena or Bridge peers, and its all quite good. As well, being attached to the brewery, you can nip round the corner for dock sales if theres something you really like to take home for a house party.

We went to the Taproom for a Saturday afternoon lunch for the Portland Dining Month Menu. All I have to say it WOW!!!. The service was impeccable, and each course was paired with the perfect beer, making each flavor sing! The service and the menu went above and beyond any of my expectations in every way! If you have the chance you MUST stop in for a beautiful pairing of beer and gastronomy!

Beer is outstanding with affodable dockside pricing for kegs and such. $130 for a 1/2 barrel. If you spend money at the taproom on Wed you get 20% off for dockside sales! Food... I had the halibut fish and chips writhe rosemary garlic aioli. VERY tasty! Light and crispy local beer batter. Fish juicy and cooked perfectly! Food prices are $11-20+. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Great beer, ok food, but horrible service! It took FOREVER to have a waitress even come and ask us if we wanted a beer, no joke, 17 minutes from the time we sat till the time she came over. Portland Brewing might be "back" but they definitely arent who they used to be. STAY AWAY!

I go here for the beer not the food as much, The food is good, but not outstanding They have a nice selection of beers including seasonals. Waitstaff is pleasant and quick. Their specials are great! weekdays are the time to go here for happy hour deals.

Super friendly staff; great beers...especially recommend the IPAs. Never had a bad meal here. Ingredients are fresh & local. Historically, one of the first Portland breweries. Outside seating & onsite parking. Dont miss this brewery.

In the middle of the industrial area. Small bar that feels very corporate in the middle of a bunch of factories. Cant really say that their beers are that great, but you might want to try it just so you can check it off your list.

Solid food, good beer, all around decent place to go. Unfortunately located inconveniently in the industrial district, but if youre in the area its definitely worth a small trip to check it out. the pulled pork sliders are good.

The brewery is great, the beer is good and the service is top notch. Try to come on Fridays and bring two Gowlers. On Friday you can get a Growler filled and a second fill is free. The fill prices are also not half bad.

Beer was pretty good, but food was just average bar fare. Service was a bit slow, and the atmosphere was corporate. Not worth going out of your way for (and its pretty out of the way up in the NW industrial area).

Service was slow. Server had no personality. They got our beers wrong. Food was below avg. at best compared to other brew pubs around. Last year this place was better. Service has gone down.

Portland Brewing is awesome. They have a great variety of beers and although people will hate on the fact that theyre owned by a bigger company now, their beer is still killer. Deal with it.

Always a great selection of brews on tap, and on Nitro! Food selection is good and portions are enough to split to save money for more beer. Seating isnt that big but we never had to wait.

Beer is good, food is average or below. Had the Reuben sandwich and turkey burger and both were just okay, probably wont be back here with all the other fine breweries near.

Really enjoyed this place. Had a company dinner here and they did a great job for us. Good food, beer, etc. I wish I could get over here more often. Nice summer patio.

Very limited beer variety. Tried to ask staff about beers, but they didnt know. First brewery where the staff was not energetic about the product. Food was okay.

Friendly staff and fun trivia on Saturday night. Beer was average by Portland micro beer standards. Food was really delicious and perfect serving size.

It was hard for me to not feel like I was back in Vienna at Salm Braeu. Very cool, but just as expensive at it was in Vienna.
