Excellent customer service recovery. I was part of a group of 9 that arrived to celebrate our friends birthday. There was a miscommunication in the taking the name of our party on the list which resulted in a delay getting seated. We were frustrated and considered leaving, but our birthday girl had her heart set on trying this place. I just happened to run into a member of the management staff at the tap list and explained to him that there had been a miscommunication and we were frustrated, but only so that it didnt happen in the future. I believe that everyone tries hard and constructive feedback is always preferential to bitching at customer service people. Well, his response blew me away. Once he understood what had taken place, the management reorganized their staffing and allocated resources to have us seated where we were waiting upstairs. We were quickly served with appetizers and beverages to hold us over till the main courses arrived, which were delicious. This place was packed. They were not hurting for business and I was at the tap list deciding what was going to hold me over while we waited. I could see the staff was working hard and I have no doubt that the changes made to accommodate us strained the manpower that they had. Even so, the staff remained friendly, attentive and sincere. My elk burger hit the spot and my partner enjoyed her beer-amisu. This was by far some of the best customer service I have received in a Portland area pub.

ow this place went downhill fast. Let me start by saying our server was great and extremely pleasant. The food however was a mess. Here is my list of complaints: 1) out of items on the daily specials menu; brussel sprouts, elk sausage. You opened an hour ago and youre already out? 2) I ended up ordering the "Shashuka", a north African dish eaten with pita. It was brought to the table with no pita. When I said something, I was brought a ripped up foccacia loaf. I pieced it together and it was missing the top 1/3rd. Really!? I cant even get a full piece of the wrong type of bread!? 3) My wife had the collard greens, that comes with cornbread. The cornbread came FREEZING, which is funny considering your menu says "we dont microwave anything. Good food takes time"; I guess it doesnt work the other way though. 4)Lastly, everything is so overpriced. I had a kombucha for 5.50, a 10oz cider (5.5abv)is also 5.50!?gtfo. I was excited to return and left very unhappy. I will not be returning.

The only reason we keep coming back is that the food and beer are usually wonderful. However, the kitchen is always backed up and slow and the servers, although super friendly, are disorganized and slow. Ive waited 15 minutes to get a menu and over an hour to get served food. Consistently SLOW and the salad I usually order often has items missing that I have to send back to the kitchen for. Want to love this place but until they figure out what is wrong with their kitchen/server/service plan, I would give it a pass unless you have a few hours to spare.

Decided to try this place on a hot day. They stated they were dog friendly and had covered outside seating. Thought that was fantastic. Got there and was seated fairly quickly. The reason I give only 2 stars is because in the 30 minutes I waited there the waitress (which there was only 1 on a Saturday afternoon) checked on our neighboring table 3 times and didnt even serve us water! Went to a different restaurant and within 5 minutes we had water on the table and asked if we were ready to order.

Well, first of all we ordered brisket nachos and a good portion of the "brisket" was actually solid fat, as per pix. All of those are INEDIBLE, SOLID FAT. If youre going to serve meat charge enough so its meat rather than pure fat maybe? Then they asked us to move our car because theyd forgotten to mark an extra, reserved handicapped spot!!!! We did get comped 1 pint & The Brussels sprouts were good. Just, whatever you do, DONT ORDER BRISKET ANYTHING HERE!!!! Unless you like pure fat

Their smoked meat is MOUTH WATERING, but definitely on the smoky side. If youre like me and love to taste the flames, this is awesome, but if youre like my dining companion and like smokiness in moderation, this may be too much for you. As a warning, their pulled pork has a wee bit of a kick. My friend could barely eat half of her food because of it, and theres no indication on the menu that this is so. Their cocktails have been really bleh, but their food is spot on.

This pub is a sister of the very popular ABV in Hillsboro. The menu is different, as of last week. The nice thing about IBU is it is bigger and has a nice large parking lot. The beer selection is awesome and there is a nice selection of munchies and sandwiches, as well as pizza. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The Cuban sandwiches were very tasty. We enjoyed the sweet potato fries as well. Great place!

Huge beer selection. Service is a bit slow in the bar area and overall, but not as bad as many places in Portland. Food is decent, a few items are better than others. The first visit food was dry, second the burger was delicious. Im giving a 4 star mostly for the different beers on tap. There is an app you can download that tells you what they have before you go.

Just like ABV, they have a very solid taplist but the real gem is their food. They have a varied menu with lots of quality meals and the happy hour isnt bad either. If I had one knock on this place over ABV its that it was a little loud during my visit. Either than that, they are completely equal and both top choices for tap houses on the Westside.

We live just up the street and have visited 4 or 5 times. Each time we have had some sort of mess up with our order or food served. While this has been frustrating I feel the wait staff has tried to do their best to rectify the issue, and I do appreciate that . We will continue to try and make this a frequented spot because of the convenience.

I havent been to this place in 5 months (at the time of writing this review). The place is large and the bar is beautiful. Good beer selection. However, they recently had recently changed their menu. At the time, I found it rather lackluster with uninteresting items. Hopefully theyve added to it or went back to the ABV menu.

I love this place! The food is awesome, the staff is too! They are now just starting to hit their stride as it is brand new and they were working thru employee issues. That now seems to be solved and running alot smoother. Keep your eyes and ears open abt IBU they have some exciting events coming up...

Sat for 30 minutes without service. Trying to be patient as there was only 1 waitress on staff but on a 95 degree day we didnt even get water poured for us. Went to Sasquatch Brewing and had water, drinks, and food ordered within 3 minutes of sitting down.

Excellent food and beer, just like its counterpart, ABV. Unlike ABV, we were able to get a table quickly. The outdoor deck is great in the summer, but theres a ton of room inside to keep us warm, dry, and fed in the winter. Ill definitely be back.
