My co-workers and I eat here at least once a week on our lunch break. It is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Vancouver, hands down. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The ingredients in every meal are fresh and delicious. The service is fast (great for lunch breaks.) The atmosphere has a relaxing, authentic European vibe. To top it all off, the prices are extremely reasonable. The Lasagne with Red Peppers and Sausage is the best Ive ever had. The Fettucine a la Vodka is delicious as well. If youre in the mood for something lighter, you can build your own sandwich from a wide array of fresh (genuinely fresh - not Subway fresh) meats, cheeses, and vegetables with homemade potato chips and a pickle for under ten bucks. They also have a huge selection of wines and beers. Seriously, this place is dope.

Ended up here by happy accident thinking it was a grab and go type of deli. I was seated and was feeling really awkward because it wasnt what I expected dont be discouraged it was great. I didnt want to be rude and leave because I wanted to grab and go. So I Sat at my table alone. My waitress was super nice and very cooperative as I ask my server at every New restaurant I eat at to order me their favorite dish and not to tell me what it is. She did exactly that and I had the most amazing mushroom ravioli. Dessert I narrowed it down to two things and asked which of the two were better and ended up with tiramisu which was freaking amazing. Long story short. My lunch was unexpected with fast service and great food. Will probably drag my SO to try it with me soon.

We went today for a birthday present to me. What a wonderful experience! Our server was outstanding, very in tune to bringing us our courses paced perfectly. We started with the shrimps in butter and garlic with a half bottle of chianti. It was delicious and I dont like shrimp! Tried it and it was so good. Lunch was chicken and bacon sandwich for hubby on foccacia with pesto mayo. He loved it, especially the homemade chops and house pickled gherkins. Everything was house made and so fresh. I simply had spaghetti with marinara topped with Peccorino. It was divine. I cant say enough about the service, the care that went into our dining experience. We will definitely be back.

Listen up kids. If you are in the mood to impregnate your stomach with a prodigal food baby, look no further than la botegga . You cant go wrong here folks, the menu selections and quality are immaculate . Im talking cherry red 1969 gto immaculate . When it comes to atmosphere and service, southern hospitality aint got nothin on this Morgan Freeman of an establishment. Last but not least, the beverage select both alcoholic and non are top notch. Excellent prices, the servers go above and beyond, and a whine selection only rivaled to that of Charlie Sheen. The only thing this restruant could add would be turtle doves trained in the art of taking your jacket. Pure win!!!!!

I called today to make a reservation for five at noon. The manager Nicole told me that they only make reservations for six or more. I told her that it was a client meeting and we didnt have time to wait if they were busy like Ive done many times in the past. She told me they would not likely be too busy today. I asked if she could make an exception this one time especially since she didnt think theyd be busy. No, they couldnt. I told her that I was glad La Bottega was doing so well it could turn away a >$100 lunch group and also permanently lose regular customers. She said that she was sorry. La Bottega: you need a new manager or retrain the one you have.

We just went there tonight with a group of 6. Our server, Cinnamon, was unfriendly from the moment we got there. She treated us very poorly and was rude to a few of us. When one person was overcharged for their meal, she blamed it on him, and then the manager even came over and blamed it on him. Also, the portions were pretty small for the price. The food we got tasted fine, but it was an overall unpleasant experience, and I dont think anyone in our group will be dining there again. Its sad, because we had heard great stuff about that place, and it was our first time there.

Small place but worth it. You can get a group in if you call and arrange in advance. Reservations are recommended for dinner. The food is fresh and very well prepared. Ive been here 4 or 5 times now and have not had anything bad. Ive brought people with me and they would agree. Pasta is done well. Meats are prepared well and tasty. I like the ahi salad at lunch. Gnocchi is gummy. You can make a dinner out of the appetizers. Cheeses are great and wine selection is top notch. My favorite Italian place!

I went there for a girls night out. I dont go to Italian restaurants very often because of the gluten issue. Our waitress was very helpful after knowing of my gluten intolerance and made suggestions about what I could eat, including desserts. I had a glass of wine to celebrate the evening and was pleased with it. This is one of my friends favorite places to eat in downtown Vancouver and I would go back there. Great food and great staff, the stars say it all

Nothing really stood out as superb here, except for a flank steak I had one time was to die for. The service is hit or miss, sometimes your server will be very attentive, but other times Ive experienced some attitude and lackluster attention. The prices are also a bit high for what food you get. Also of interest is my experience with their charcuterie plate I ordered (keep in mind this is an Italian restaurant...) came with gritty hummus and swiss cheese.

From the moment I walked into this place I had a warm feeling! The aromas are tantalizing and friendly faces everywhere you look. I enjoyed the field greens and well paired cheese plate with a great glass of Husar (wine I had never heard of before, but fell in love with!) My server was helpful with great suggestions. I am anxious to introduce friends and family to this place! I left feeling relaxed and refreshed! Cant wait to try something new next time!

My daughter and I were going to another restaurant late Saturday morning, it was closed due to the street even that day. I am so lucky. We were seated right away, and the service was AMAZING. Liz met our every food need and was always a step ahead. The food was perfect, just as described in the menu, but even tastier. I hope all who visit get a bit of Liz, although the food was amazing the service totally has other restaurants left wanting for sure!!

Was up from Eugene visiting a friend in Vancouver yesterday and he took me to La Botega Cafe for lunch. I ordered the smokey chicken and bacon sandwich, and I will have to admit that it was THE best sandwich I have ever had. The focaccia bread was delicious, the pesto spread was amazing, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I will certainly be asking to go back here again next time I visit Vancouver!
