First time I went there I payed $11 for a burrito and a glass of water. Really didnt wanna go back but I work nearby and so I thought Id give them another chance. Mistake. I called ahead, it rang several times before anyone picked up and when someone finally did they immediately asked to put me on hold. I agreed but instead the person just put the phone down and I had to listen to her help several other customers before returning to my call. When she finally did come back I heard some noises and then she hung up on me. So being me I decided to call back. I was then informed that this location cannot afford a working phone system and when too many calls come in it just "starts kicking people off". A complete BS excuse but I really wanted a kimchi quesadilla so I proceeded to order. This is when I find out that it takes over 20 minutes to put some cheese and kimchi inside a tortilla and throw it in a press. So I said no thanks and now Ive learned my lesson: dont be sucked it by the appeal, its overpriced and all my co-workers have complained about how often their orders get screwed up.

The food is great, but the service is hit or miss. I was greeted but asked to wait three times before I could order when the place was nearly empty and I was the only one in line, and as I happened to be in a rush, I didnt appreciate being asked to wait for no apparent reason. The cashier made me feel like I was bothering her and hadnt tried any menu items I asked about. Took 15 mins for one burrito to go and the habenero sauce had a splash of sauce in them, not bothered to actually fill up the container. My favourite sauce! But then the cashier after her was great! I wish it were consistent excellent service. Half the time my stuff has beans in it when I always ask for none. Frustrating, because the food really is yummy.

I ordered a bowl to go. When I got it home it was cold, had a hair in it and about two dinky tablespoons of rice. I called the restaurant to let them know and they put me on hold for a manager. After about five+ minutes the call was dropped. Bad, overpriced food and terrible service. I work extremely hard for my money so to have it wasted by the this sub-par establishment and then to be given the run around is very frustrating. Ill never go here again and plan on letting everyone know about this experience.ALSO, they will not simply make a substitute to make something vegan. They will actually charge you MORE MONEY. Ludicrous.

Had lunch there with my granddaughter. Staff was friendly and décor was just okay. The food was the most bland and tasteless I have had since eating hospital food. Hardly any flavor whatsoever. I realize the food is primarily vegan and that being the case they need to be much more creative. The smoked chicken quesadilla was terrible-a small amount of chicken, salsa, and cheese I could not even taste that could have been put together buy a child. Even the salsa and chips were bad. Considering the simplicity of the ingredients the food is way overpriced as well. Total waste of $15.

First of all, the Santa Fe Burrito was good. Price is fair, for real food in Portland. My giant burrito that could have served two was $9.50. And it was delicious. The service seems a little ill-equipped for the lunch rush. The cashier had to leave in the middle of ringing me up. The poor young man serving the food was running outside to deliver to-go orders while delivering several tables orders. Even so, I got my food, hot and ready, 15 minutes after I paid. I ate my burrito and got back to work in time.

I always love Laughing Planet, and this place is more than just a restaurant. It is a watering hole. The location has a lot of sitting inside and out. Youll come in and see friends and families catching up with each other while the kids can run around. This place is a great location for the community, and it is even more surprising being in a small, local strip mall. Also, the food is always good. I highly recommend the Southwest green Chili burrito. Also, you better get yourself a smoothie too.

I will be taking the advice of others. Quite some time ago over year I did eat here. It was bland but at different location. I despise people with no creative imagination & over priced. It would be one thing if more gourmet or fancied up with awesome seasons made yummy. Disappointed to hear still same. People and peoples voices matter. Just because some weirdly like mediocre food. Our unless they get it amazing because compliment and or regulars. Who knows.

The food was terrific! And I suppose that is why we go out to eat. But hey, I expect a little more from people. We sat outside next to a burping man and his equally rude female partner who insisted on banging dishes around. The wait staff was also less than friendly, barking directions at people. I am not amused. While I love the Laughing Planet, I wont go back to this one unless I absolutely have no other choice.

I have had only good experiences at Laughing Planet. From the customer service to the food itself, its hard to beat the locally sourced and healthy ingredients they use. My favorite item is likely the Bubba burrito with chicken despite their gas-less beans being quite the opposite. (Psst, I highly advise soaking the beans in water with kombu strips!) Overall the food, atmosphere, and service are worthy of a solid 4/5.

Great: Great friendly service, spacious seating, outdoor patio. So-So: Their food doesnt have much "kick," Its kinda bland or average, stuff you could make at home with little energy. Ive been here about 6-10 times, and never come away terribly impressed. Still, glad we have a healthy option with so many vegan choices. They do in a pinch, especially in the vegan-starved West side.

I have eaten at a few of the Laughing Planet locations around town, generally its always at the Woodstock and the food & service is excellent. Gabriel Park Location took forever to get our food on a Tuesday night, the forget one of our drink orders, messed up on a burrito order and served our food COLD. Music was obnoxiously loud and annoying Wont be returning!!!

Fantastic place for vegetarians, but with plenty of meat options. The most kid-friendly place in Portland where you can eat real food. Now if they didnt put such hugequantities of salt in everything (check out the nutritional info on their web site for some shockers) they would be the perfect place to eat for health conscious folks.

Nummy food and great atmosphere. Sometimes I wish there was more variety in the menu but based on how they do food prep it is cool, works and cheap. The staff that has been there a long time or since opening are all great at what they do and willing to work with you to alter menu items doe special diets.

Not my favorite but I may not be the target demographic. I read paleo bowl and wanted to try it but its made with no real fat to speak of which left me feeling like I had a light snack when I had eaten a bowl full of food. If I have occasion to eat here again I will come armed with butter
