Having recently moved from more meat-friendly places such as AZ and TX, Ive had more than a few disappointments finding some decent wings in the area, a terrible tragedy given my love for anything buffalo style. Im not a fan of BWW, overpriced and well, not great, and tried a few bars and other chain establishments to no avail. I got the basic wings with the classic buffalo along with some french fries and pickle chips, and everything was awesome. Wings had plenty of meat and the sauce was flavorful without being ridiculously hot or tasting exactly like Franks. They were cooked to the perfect amount of crispness and had lots of flavor, a rarity in these parts. French fries and pickle chips were good too, its nice to see someone who can master the wonderful world of a fryer. Im stoked that I finally found a good, not just decent, wing place in the area without having to drive to the craptacular part of Portland just to try it. The menu also had a lot of other things that just sounded epic, such as a real buffalo chicken pizza and a lot of deep fried things that I got all too used to in areas with much better food options than the tofu and kale world of Portlandia.

It is in a strip mall and looks like a cheap o mom and pop place but the wings are the best in Oregon, The wings are meaty and larger than you get at BWW but the same as fire on the mountain, pok pok or Widmer. Where they shine is their cooking and sauces.the chicken wings have a thin very crispy skin which gives a good crunch just before you get to soft well cooked meat. guy know how to cook wings. the Sauces are impressive. The thai has a great strong peanut flavour that ends with ginger notes that no other thai sauces Ive tried have. The hot sauces like low rider are well balances and hot but flavourful. The Sweet emotion has strong cumin notes. TNT is their habenero sause Do not miss their french fries. VERY well cooked they have a crisp skin to give that initial crunch which give to a soft fluffy potato inside. amazing cons: beer selection is limited and sucks. Wished they delivered to Orenco taphouse If you are fighting traffic, and trying to find a parking space just to go to weird portland to get your wing fix, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. go to Rock n Wingz you will be amazed

Have to say Im very pleasantly impressed. Id walked by a few weeks ago and saw a staff member out front, smoking, and that had initially turned me off to trying it. (Im an ex smoker, so Im not judging, but I have little ones, and Ill be damned if I have to walk thru someone elses smoke with my kids in tow. Yuck.) But after so many of my friends raved about the food, we bought a groupon and tried it. Yum. It tastes fresh, sauces are delicious, even the ranch & blue cheese taste home made and are amazing. And they have hard to find items like fried pickles, sweet potato fries, and jalapeno poppers! I like other wing places well enough but I love finding a good local place that I can support, especially one that is so tasty! Itd be a 5 star if it were more kid friendly, with changing stations in both bathrooms. Prices are reasonable even without the groupon and portions are good. We are definitely planning on being regulars!

Im originally from Syracuse NY and I have family in Buffalo that I visit every year. Rock N Wingz in Hillsboro rivals (possibly exceeds) some of the best wing joints in Buffalo NY, no joke. The buffalo wings are tender, with just the right amount of sauce and not too dry or greasy. The jungle fries are literally the best cheese fries Ive had anywhere. The service was fast and friendly. I was surprised to learn the owner was our cashier. He makes fresh blue cheese everyday. Its easy to miss this place because its a small restaurant in a strip mall but dont let that deter you. I love the "hole in the wall" vibe and the kitschy rock n roll decor. Im so happy I finally found real buffalo wings in the Portland area that taste like home. I cant wait to take my family when they come to visit. This place is legit.

Hey guys. First ever review Ive felt obligated to write I my life. I live about 3 blocks away from these guys. My wife and I make it a habit to go here at just once a month. In the type of person that would rather eat at home than go out to eat. However, these are simply the best wings Ive ever had. Buffalo wild wings cant hold a torch to what these guys put out. They spicy is spicier, their mild is mouth watering, and their wings are at minimum twice the size for half the price. Im an American, home grown, southern boy, and I have yet to find a wing that comes close to this hole in the wall. If you dont like these wings, you dont belong in this country. Keep I on rockin guys, yall are doing something right.

This is a much needed wing restaurant to the hillsboro area. Their prices are well below the average chain restaurant for wings and the flavor is way above average. I tried six different flavors of wings (36 wing in all), jalapeno poppers, and a cheese Pizza all for $44. Everything was homemade down to the blue cheese and ranch dressing you could tell they put alot of time and effort into creating everything they make. The atmosphere in the store was great with an 80s hair band type decor in music playing at all times. I recommend this place to all wing lovers and anyone who wants a nice evening out with their family at a great price.

Came over for lunch, it was super busy (we called in our order 20 min in advance) and they only had two people working. I know the wing challenge is a thing here but probably shouldnt be done when there is limited staff and the place is packed. We waiting an additional ten minutes to get our food. The chicken wings were so terrible. They were barely sauced and they were so overcooked they had that almost crunchy chicken texture. The wings are also so tiny that you barely get any chicken. The fries were fine, its the only thing that was edible.

I RARELY give reviews but this place is so amazing that I couldnt resist not writing one.....I am a biggggg fan of wings and by far these are the best Ive had.....I am NEVER going back to BWW ever again.....The service is good...you have to be a little patient though as there is usually just one cook and the wings are freshly cooked.....I love the pizza here too but I usually go here every week and enjoy the delicious wings...My favorite is the cilantro lime flavored Low Riderr though all the other sauces they have are equally good

Seriously this place was amazing!!! The wings with bone were cooked perfectly and the sauces were all so good it was hard to choose! I also tried the boneless and those were delicious as well! The onion rings were so tasty and had a little kick to them and the one thing I regretted not getting was the curly fries and pizza!! My friends got those and they were just as good as the rest and they said the pizza was really really good! Honestly everything was great, the service was great and I cant wait to go back!!!
