Cool little joint on River Rd. Always love finding new places that pop up in the Eugene/Springfield area. I recommend the Chili Cheeseburger Double; if a burger beckons your name, with a basket of their Sweet Potato Fries pf course. You have an option to order for there or order to take your food home with you. Toxic Wings are known for their homemade wings and their different varieties of house sauces which are all kinds of deliciousness. They are in expensive for people looking to keep the cost of eating out down, but want some local flair at a fair price. Basically, you CAN eat at Carls Jr. But why would you do a thing like that when Toxic Wings is so much better. They have an outside area as well allow you to soak up the sun while you eat. Toxic Wings also does catering, so if you have any kind of a party for whatever the occasion you are able to do that as well. The establishment is small though about akin to the size of a burrito boy, so dont expect to bring the whole family. But dont let that stop you because if youre like me and live in the Santa Clara/River Rd. area of Eugene your options for eating are substantially limited. I mean, Santa Clara has some restuarants down river road as you are heading toward Chambers, but really you either got pizza, Carls Jr, Arbys, Burger King, Taco Bell, Hawaiin Time, the Mongolian Grill, maybe Twin Dragons, but I dont recommend them. So, Toxic Wings is no doubt hands down the best place to eat at if youre looking to change things up for a Toxic way out!

I wish I could rate the food. I went there to check it out for the first time. Unknowingly, I arrived about 10 minutes before closing time. (They close early, at 8.) I was meeting a friend there so sat down at a table outside to wait for them. Another take had just sat down with some food and the waitress came out and talked to them 2 or 3 times but completely ignored me. I asked if they had wi-fi and she politely said they didnt and then walked away. When my friend arrived, we chatted for a few minutes and then went inside to order. Before we could even get in the door the same waitress said, "Sorry, were closed." She was sweeping and clearly in a hurry to get out of there. It was then that I saw the (very small) sign in the door that said they closed at 8. I very much understand the desire to leave work on time and I wouldnt knowingly order food at the last minute like that anyway. I just dont appreciate being ignored and left to sit there so that when I did come in it was officially past closing and she could turn me away. She could have said something when I first sat down and saved us the time and disappointment. I went there all hopeful Id found my favorite new restaurant. Ive heard great things about their quality meat and gluten-free options. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. Potential new customer lost. :(

I ate here with a friend. I had a double bacon cheeseburger with fries and she had a regular cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Our bill for those items was $20. The thing that stood out most to me was the small size of the burger patties. I asked and was told they are 1/6lb patties, which were crazy small. Like McDonalds cheeseburger size. My burger had two patties which was a 1/3lb burger, but it seemed way smaller than that. I finished my meal and was still hungry. I could not really taste the burger itself due to the patties being swallowed by the bun. I will say the sweet potato fries were excellent. I would not come back here because the value is not there for the price I paid. Now I have to eat somewhere else to fill me up....

The staff is well-educated on the menu. Very friendly place with gluten-free options. Patio is dog friendly with umbrellas for shade during the day. The food was AMAZING! Best wings Ive had since coming to Oregon from Arizona. Sweet potato fries were also perfectly delicious. I came with my mom who is gluten-free and she had 10 boneless wings (garlic parmesan and pineapple jerk flavors), I had 12 bone-in (raspberry habanero and apricot chipotle flavors). The price was pretty normal for a wing restaurant. The wings were quite filling and we both have about half (really a little more than half) of our wings to take home! Loved it and already planning to come back in the near future!

I want so badly to give this place 5 stars. Had I done a review when they first opened, I would be. Reason being, when they first opened, excellent food, great price and sufficient portion sizes. Now however, food quality doesnt seem consistent, price remains fine, but portion sizes are so small that I regret it every time (I keep going back hoping its just a one or two time thing). If I pay for a meal, I expect a full meal. It used to be that we got so many fries/chicken, Id have leftovers, I now get about 10 fries. ( that is NOT an exaggeration) I dont mind the small dining and love the owners. But when restaurants cuts corners on food, not good.

I love this place. I dont like fast food burgers and every once in a while I just crave a burger. Not one with a bunch of goop on it, but fresh lettuce and such .. so this is where I go. My kids like the chicken. Its all about the buns. Not soggy but crisp and tasty full bodied buns. If you want a little bigger patty, get a double, the singe is a perfect size for me and the fries are wonderful. You feel full and healthy after eating not sick at your stomach and heavy like some places make you feel. They are always very friendly too. Fast , good and clean and friendly ... cant beat it.

I love wings, and had to get my fix when I was visiting Eugene. Saw the name "Toxic Wings," and I just had to know what they were about. They smoke their wings in the morning, then fry them up before serving them to you. They normally give sauce on the side, but you can ask them to be tossed (my preference). Great, smoky wing flavor and tons of sauces to choose from. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes wings, but they also have burgers if thats your fancy.

Pros: Large portions and good quality chicken. I got 5 boneless wings which was more like 5 large chicken strips. Cons: All breading is gluten-free which makes it very thin. I enjoy enough breading so the sauce sticks and makes a nice crunch. This was almost breadless. The sauce is so-so. Store bought type. I had spicy BBQ and Franks medium. Disappointing they dont have house made sauces for a "Wing" place.

Literally everything on the menu is extremely delicious. Would highly reccomend boneless wings with any sauce. Salads are impressively tasty and their burgers are the best in Eugene. They also have fries that are to die for :) Customer service is amazing and the small family-business atmosphere makes any experience at Toxic more pleasant than the last. If youre ever in the area, you MUST try this restaurant.

UPDATE: Locally sourced, yummy food and really reasonably priced. Went there, they were supper slammed and they messed up the order - instead of getting grumpy like most places they were extremely apologetic and worked supper fast to correct the issue, even leaving the fries for us to eat while the made complete new baskets for us! I will definitely be back for that level of customer service!
