Another phony. If you read their website they say "It is our mission to continue to reduce our carbon footprint as we are able." And visiting their restaurant they proudly post a bicycle delivery certification sign in their window. Yet, while dining there over the weekend, there were no fewer than 3-4 food delivery services within 30 minutes picking up orders for take-out in cars. Single containers probably holding nothing more than a sandwich being driven to who knows where so CC can make more of the all-mighty dollar. Reducing the "carbon footprint" while streaming sandwiches out the door in gas burning delivery vehicles? Sorry CC, but some places walk the walk - and some places just talk the talk....and grab some money without a care for the environment. Im out.

In a rehabilitated former hamburger joint, the Cornbread Cafe provides an oasis of culinary relief for those seeking vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free high quality food at a reasonable price. Filled with booths and a counter, this bustling restaurant has a packed menu of salads, soups, sandwiches, entrees and desserts (the desserts are unbelievably beautiful and fast!!) that will meet anyones need. Service is quick and friendly. Parking is limited to a small parking lot, however, street parking is available. A bit noisy inside, however, the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I highly recommend vegan and vegetarian (an omnivore, for that matter) foodies check out this restaurant.

This is the only vegan restaurant in Eugene that I know of. The food is ok. This is probably as good as it gets in Eugene. I see a lot of room for improvement but its not bad. Prices are ok too. Overall a good place to eat. I wish more places had vegan entries. I get messed up when I eat soy. Many food items served are made of soy or have soy ingredients. I can eat at the Cornbread Cafe once in a while but could not make it my place to go for a regular meal. This place reminds me of an old dinner where you wont be impressed and would not be disappointed. You will get a big portion of food that is well prepared and served by friendly staff.

We arrived at 1:11 and we waited to be seated for around 25 minutes and got our food by 2:11. We were ignored for a while but theyre busy so I understand . That said we werent aware that the lunch menu was not available on Sundays as the full menu was displayed in the window. Then we watched a waitress serve some "special customers" items from the "unavailable lunch menu". (The Eugene which looks great but well never know.) I imagine it took so long to get our food out because of the "special" service ahead of us. Anyhow, tge food was good but not good enough to justify poor service. Cornbread, please treat your customers better.

The food is delicious! I am only recently vegan but I loved this place even as a carnivore. Its such a nice reprieve from salad being the only vegan option, sometimes you need hearty stick to your ribs comfort food. Its definitely not health food but they dont claim that it is, lots of deep fried and covered in gravy goodness. The waitstaff is friendly, fast and a little awkward but hey, its Eugene, most of us are! The prices are reasonable I think. $11.5 for a dinner plate, less for a burger, and I think the most expensive dessert is like $5. Highly recommend!

I love vegan food and often will pick vegan and vegetarian options. Cornbread Cafe however was hands down the worst vegan food i have ever consumed and little care was given to the preparation. The spinach they served had its steams still on it and tasted like they had put warm dishwater on top of it, the fried tofu tasted like fish and made me sick to my stomach. The service was exceptionally slow and took 30 minutes to even get a beer. Shame on Cornbread Cafe for even saying they are vegan as it gives other vegan places a bad name.

We were passing through on a road trip and saw great reviews for Cornbread Cafe; seemed perfect for a late lunch. Unfortunately, the outdoor furniture was wet, so no place for Charlie. It was too intriguing to pass up though, so we had the Eugenewich & the Sampler Platter with Oogave soda & lemonade. Everything was perfect roadtrip comfort food. Charlie approved! We took a Cheezecake on the road with us; the strawberry compote topping was the perfect counterpoint to its creaminess. We should have brought a couple more!

As a vegetarian, Im always looking to up my game, so was eager to check out this vegan/gf establishment. The menu was comprehensive and reasonably priced and the atmosphere delightful. Waitstaff was pleasantly accommodating to our group of 5 which straggled in, especially when we camped out in the back booth catching up with one another. My entree was tasty and clever; Ill be back to try others. Theres always room for improvement in *any* venture, hence the 4 star rating, but very worthwhile and highly recommended.

Awesome...Awesome..Awesome!! This little cafe has the best vegan food on the planet and I highly recommend it to both the vegan and the carnivore. For the vegans out there, youll feel as if youve died and gone to heaven and for the carnivores, this food is spot on and tastes just like the dishes its replicating. Everything on the menu is out of this world as are all of the daily specials. The staff is, also, amazing and all are super sweet and friendly. This is without a doubt one of our favorite places in Eugene.

I dont review places. This restaurant, though, man, its the bees knees. My family and I lived in Eugene for 6 months, and CBC was a staple in our lives. Ive had everything on the menu with nothing to dislike. We had to move to Portland, and (despite PDXs reputation) CBC is still the best d*** Vegan restaurant out there. I literally crave it (in my dreams) regularly. I hope they keep on keeping on, and maybe even open a northern branch. Seriously, the best place to eat in the Willamette!

My boyfriend and I work at vegan restaurants in Seattle and we were blown away by the food here at Cornbread Cafe. They had customizable meals (a protein with sauce, a bread, a starch side, and a "salad" side) for under $10. We got everything we could try - the tofu chikkin with bbq sauce (superb), a ground tempeh "meat" with gravy (genius), creamy 10/10 mashed tatoes, zesty and fresh cabbage slaw, savory sauteed spinach, and the biscuit and cornbread are to die for.

The food was excellent!! I went to Cornbread Cafe with the intention of getting my grub on some comfort food. Cornbread Cafe exceeded my expectations the second I bit down on the Eugenewich.... YUUMM!!!! Their cornbread is great and so are the fries! I will be dropping by here the next time I swing by the West Coast!! Did I mention that the service was also very good? I recommend this cafe if youre looking forward to having some delicious and zesty comfort food.

I want to knock a star off for serving such delicious food that is so not good for you... But man It was so good! The location was really quaint and adorable with a great old diner feel. The battered everything was the absolutely best battered anything vegan Ive ever had. It tasted exactly how I remember KFC batter testing at its best. The gravy was to die for. The meals were filling and very reasonably priced. Cant wait to come back!
