The food was good, but my boyfriend and I sat right by the kitchen and when we were eating we noticed the cooks were not wearing gloves, werent washing their hands, and touching the meat and the rest of the food barehanded. We were waiting for a little while until a table was ready, and our server got our drinks kind of quickly, but after that we didnt see him for another 25-30 minutes to take our order, and then our food took a while to even get to us and the entire time we were eating we did not see our server once. Not to check to see if we needed anything like a refill, or even if we liked the food. Then after we finished we still did not see our server for a while, when we finally did, we asked to see a desert menu so he dropped one off and didnt bother coming back for another 20-25 minutes. The rest of the employees were complaining at each other and the manager. One woman even took chips off of a customers plate they were about to drop off and ate them while walking around on the floor. By the time we finally got our check (about 30-40 minutes after he took our plates and we finished eating) we were so frustrated with our experience we left, and when I informed the hostess of the issues in a very polite and kind way, all she had to say was "oh". Honestly THE WORST restaurant experience Ive had in an incredibly long time.

We went in not too long after they opened their business and though I expecting much, I even let down from my low expectations. Our waitress came to the table finally after wed been seated for at least ten minutes and asked if we were ready to order; we had to remind her that first she needed to bring us menus. Food was so-so and the service continued to be horrible; they got one of our three simple orders wrong. My significant other asked for gravy on the side of her order of meatloaf and mashed potatoes; rather than in the side, the plate came slathered with gravy, not just on the mashed potatoes, but on the meatloaf too! They have halfway decent comfort food, but I wont go back until theyve had some time to hire/train a decent staff. Also, this may be nitpicky, but they had plenty of open tables around the front windows, but for some reason stuck us the back corner; a really horrible table if you ask me. I hope for their sake (and for the sake of Black Bears legacy) that they can get it together and turn things around, because they will not remain open long if they continue down the road that I experienced.

Honestly the worst restaurant experience Ive ever had. We waited 15 minutes for someone (that wasnt our waitress) to take our order. 30 minutes after our order was taken by our actual waitress, she told us they were out of one of the ingredients that made one of our meals. I told them to just keep it simple and bring two of the same dish so that we could get on with our evening. It wasnt even busy so I dont know why there were so many issues. When a different person brought our food, it was one of the correct items and a different plate that neither of us mentioned even after we had to change one order. They left us the correct plate, took back the other and said they would put in the right order which never got made. It had been an hour before they brought us any food. After all this the waitress, who we saw maybe twice, asked us if we wanted the check and was completely oblivious to any of the issues and took our one empty plate that we shared. We just accepted the check but they didnt even adjust it to any of the complications we had. Seriously the worst experience. Dont recommend going here ever.

We, a party of four, had lunch on July 21, 2017. It took an inordinately long time to be seated. Once seated, it took a long time before a server arrived at our table. Once the young man arrived to take our order, I ordered a turkey sandwich and specified - no mayo. The server seemed confused at my request, but finally said the sandwich does not come with mayo anyway. The meals took a very long time to arrive at the table and that was the first and only time we saw the server until he arrived to present the billing. We were two couples and when we asked for separate checks, he looked confused and brought a check for each person. My turkey sandwich came with mayo and my wifes order was not warm - in fact the french fries were cold. A hint for a better turkey sandwich - please do not serve a turkey sandwich with small turkey chips! The little pieces of turkey were falling out as I held the sandwich to my face. We have been to several other Black Bear Diners were very happy with our experience. We are willing to give this Diner one more try before we give up.

Let me begin by saying I am a fan of black bear diners. My guess is Ive been to a dozen different restaurant locations. Food is good but seldom great. Portions are large and many would consider it "comfort food" This location is one of the newer ones and that have a reflection on my minor complaints. I ordered a tri tip dip which is another way of saying a "messy dinner". After being served the waitress never returned to check on us. We would have appreciated extra napkins. The restaurant was VERY slow that was not a reason. We were there for dinner and we know they are actually a breakfast place so the messy floor can be overlooked. What cant be overlooked is the months worth of dust on the partition separating the booths. It just so happens to be at Eye level and it not an appetizing sight. In summary we are not likely to return tho thus particular location, but i will reiterate, i Ann a Gann of black bear in general. I do hope local movement takes this as constructive. There is certainly a place for black bear in Wilsonville.

My Husband and I have eaten at the Wilsonville location 5 times. Each time we have eaten there we had waited 45min to an hour for our food after being seated and putting in a order. We thought ok may be grand opening still new. After the 3rd time my husband and I started observing the kitchen staff .The kitchen is unorganized,do not read what is on the tickets.they spend more time wasting food by throwing it away due to the lack of team work and cooperation .Preparing food out of order so some who walked in are getting food while those who have been there again 45 min to a hour are waiting wondering what the Hell is going on . The food is good but clear your day and dont go in if you are wanting to eat and get out on a timely manner because it will not happen.I hope that the kitchen staff gets it together 5 times is more than a second chance.

Very disappointed. My son choose Black Bear Diner for his 8th grade promotion dinner. Arrived at 8:18, we were seated at 8:40 (not sure why as they were not busy) and we didnt get our food until 9:31. The greeter payed no attention when I told him there were 6 of us and we were seated at a booth for 4. Trying to make space for 6 meals and drinks at a 4 person table was not fun but we had waited so long that we didnt want to turn it down at this point. We were seated by one waitress, our drink order taken by another and our food order by yet a third waitress. Had to return one burger that was ordered ketchup only but came with the works. I will say the food was really good, fresh and hot when we got it. Its unfortunate the entire experience was ruined by the wait time and poor service.
