My waitress had an attitude before she even seated us. We drove up and I saw her sitting in the seated area to the rtoight of the building. She looked up from her phone and saw us pull into a parking spot and slammed her phone down, then walked to front. Before I could even day hi l, she cuts me off and abruptly, without even looking at us, says "seats for 2..." as she grabs menus and starts heading to some seats! I TRY to say yes, but... Of course, she cuts me off to say "this way" as she burns off around the corner. Before I could say thank you, she again cuts me off asking what we want to drink (as uninterested as she could sound). Their was only 2 other people in the restaurant. She just sat someone down and gave them an attitude as well. We asked for water which took her forever to get (only 2 others in the restaraunt she was "serving".. Really?). Poor poor service here but good food. Wish they would hire more appropriate staff who are pleasant, productive, and clean. Going to be my last visit to this South Salem joint. They have one in West Salem with nice waitresses! :) *Oh- and the bacon was sad, grey, slimy, and limp... Not crispy... When it comes to bacon... Thats unforgiveable! Lol Bacon should never be questioned if its cooked all the way!*

Hope you dont have allergies dusty nick nacks everywhere. The service is slow expect to be there 80 minutes for a meal. 45 minutes after we ordered got my burger that was very tasty. I served my table water and was thanked for it, I came to eat and destress only to leave with knots in my shoulder. Workers are nice but just arent getting the job done, either understaffed or undertrained employees make every experience unique I have had great service that made up for how long it took not this time. They forgot the bacon on my buddys burger. They are rushed and understocked, wonder why your foods taking so long? They are grabbing the grocery from roths next door, do yourself a favor and make your own lunch itll take the same amount of time and energy. This opperation has no longer any value to me. Thanks to rock-n-rodgers i now owe my roomate 20$ for a meal I was not pleased with. This posting is part first of letting this experience go. Sorry to the great people that work there for this blunt and angry post, but this is how I feel after my experience.

Terrible. Wife had fish and chips. I had chili burger. Wife got 3 very small fish nuggets and fries with a salad the was Cleary browning. Not even close to a 12$ portion. Chili burger. Chili was obviously canned and not even a particularly good one.then was microwaved a bit longer than needed causing the chili to appear dried out. Handcut fries tasted greasy and burnt. Burger was dry like they pressed it alot. Wasnt going to complain but at register the lady asked if everything was OK and our reaction must have gave it away because she responded. Oh you didnt like it...kinda like she has had to make excuses before. I briefly told her the problems and that we really didnt eat any of the food at all. We told her we just wanted to pay and that we would not return. She comped our drinks so our bill was only 23$. Funny the drinks were the only good part of my experience. Cute dinner though. Hoped for better.

In the early 90s Rockin Rogers used to be the local chain to beat in Salem. They had great burgers and shakes and quaint retro atmosphere which made it all fun. Then weird things happened: The menu expanded beyond all possible reason, they became a donut maker for a short time, and they tried to open too many stores. This location is particularly sad. The retro decorations are all filthy, the tube television on the wall plays a loop of old clips and the booths have cracks in them wider than my leg. The service is SLOW and the food is mediocre at best. The only thing I would recommend is the peanut butter milkshake. Order it ahead and get it to go!

Wife said womans bathroom doesnt lock, mens bathroom dirty and 2nd janitor service door didnt latch so no privacy, made 6:30 reservations for banquet room night before with nice hostess and next day the grumpy hostess said closing at 7 even though google site said 8pm. Witnessed hostess gruffly turning away older couple at 7:20, and after multiple attempts to be kind and have our group say thank you to her she scowled and barely replied. This used to be a nice place, but has been going downhill for the last year. Not a fun place anymore. Please fix

If this restaurant is truely family owned you need to show up at your restaurants and order the fries to find out they havent changed the oil for a week Last time the menus were sticky , this time the floor, table, and bathroom were all filthy. The waitress hates her job obviously. We have been coming here since the first one on market st. It has gone so far downhill we will never return. Obviously customers have gotten the word about this place, no cars in the parking lot

Got out of my car and saw all 5 employees smoking, which is fine but why were customers can see? Inside was hotter then outside with sticky chairs and tables. Our food was fast to come out but because 5 orders were missing and none were correct. The server had to use a fork at our table to lift up the hamburger bun to see if it was correct (it wasnt). I ordered a simple wrap and couldnt take more then 3 bites of it. I wasnt expecting much going in and will not be going back.

My wife and I went to rock n roger burgers yesterday and to be honest the food was not that great. Good service and friendly too but the food was not really good especially for the price they have for it. We order two cheeseburgers with fries which was more and two milkshakes and two soft drinks. We end it up paying about $32 for all the food we got. Next time we will just be going to cars jr we can get all this for cheaper price and better taste.

This is review for the WEST Salem location- Very marginal food with a no view due to window glass being in need of replacement. Great service and friendly but food wasnt what we expected. Chicken salad wasnt made with a nice fresh chicken breast that was grilled like it looked on the menu- but made with cooked cubed chicken from some food supplier.

First this place was not really clean second to service or lack of it is not good and the food is not worth the money most expensive hamburger in town that has nothing going for it never coming here again tried several years ago wasnt happy then there are other places to go and this isnt it Rock and Rogers rocks nothing

My husband and I went here on a whim on our way to the beach to celebrate our 1st year anniversary and we had a good time. A place I would enjoy with my grandmother. Berry was wonderful !! And the food was great !(: One thing other people havent mentioned is there is a view.

They make the best BLT in all of Salem, in my opinion. Never greasy ,bread is toasted to perfection and they always give me my two requested pickles for free! Milk shakes taste like the high quality ones of my youth.(1940-50s)
