This place would make a killing if they just gave more care to their food and service. The place looks like an early 60s diner and unfortunately the cleanliness erases any of its potential charm. The employees are hit & miss. It seems like a family of employees and while Ive had alright experiences here, the bad experiences usually win out. Ive visited at least 3 times throughout the last year or so. 1/3 times have been pleasant. It offers both teryaki food as well as burgers. Ive had both. The noodles and teyraki seem better than the burgers Ive had. The meat on the burgers didnt have any flavor and were extremely messy. Wet buns never make a burger better. The toppings are plentiful, but the messiness is a huge turn off. They shouldnt be over $4 considering what you get. The fries arent bad, but take a while to make (which isnt necessarily a bad thing considering that they are made fresh the times Ive been there). Maybe they were just out and I got lucky? The place could be so much better if they had better meat and prepared their food in a more traditional restaurant manner. It doesnt have to be messier than Carls Jr. And speaking of messy. I went in there and was only 1 of 2 people there and every single table top was dirty. They do not seem to clean the tables after each guest. Its very disconcerting. Honestly, I would rather go to Wendys, Carls Jr. or any other place to get a burger. Try it out, but youve been warned.

Tried this place for the first time today. Wasnt too bad for an older establishment. The food was decent however I ordered the teriyaki burger and it did not seem to contain any teriyaki. Asked for some sauce as it was not readily available and was given a reused shurikan hot sauce bottle filled with teriyaki with little bits of "special ingredients" floating around. The burger seemed a bit greasy however not too bad. Taters were fine. I was a bit surprised that there was no waiting on tables even with only one other customer in the place. Kitchen seemed sanitary from what I could see however the dining area was below par with various bits of food on the floor (They did start to sweep while we were there) Customer service was good, only gripe would be the cell phone ringing in the kitchen area. Overall it was okay. I would eat there again but highly recommend they attempt to make some improvements. Lastly, the photoshopped picture of the front of the store is not worth the deception. Just get a new sign or leave it be.

Whether I get the 1 pound bacon-jalapeno cheeseburger (w/ an egg), or the beef yakisoba (also w/ an egg); the meal always satisfies. The food is simplistic in the best ways. The location can be a bit of a pain to get into if youre heading southbound on Hall, but just use the car wash driveway if you miss Charburgers (and sometimes traffic is backed up for a ways, blocking the driveway for a left turn entry). My only recommendations for them, would be: to stay open until 10 or 11pm, and increase location awareness on social media sites to bring in the people to fund the extended hours (also, the taco truck that frequently sits out front and blocks some of the parking/visibility, probably doesnt help). Will always recommend. I could use Charburger as a litmus test I imagine. If you cant find something on their menu that you enjoy (after trying it), then I probably wont be able to associate with you. I mean, cmon! #char

Dont waste your time here. This place used to be good about a year ago but just recently I have discovered that their meat used for the hamburger patties is of lower quality aside from that the water down there ketchup. its true if you try to squirt the ketchup out itll run like water is got no flavorand they also water down there sriracha sauce. finally they got the worst customer service the Asian lady or the one in charge will be on her personal phone laughing with her friends and youre standing there looking like an idiot for about 5 minutes until shes done talking on the phone ready to take your order its ridiculous dont go eat here

I hadnt been in here in a VERY long time and I wish Id given them another try sooner. Their burgers were good, but the surprising part was the variety of no-frills options such as teriyaki chicken, and some really nicely made yakisoba noodles. The owner and daughter were super friendly and I can feel good about supporting a small local business. I also just noticed on both of their last two health inspections they nailed a perfect 100/100. This is VERY hard to do and suggests that the owner has great attention to detail.

The food is amazing, I am from CA where there are plenty of unique options as far as burgers go. When I moved to oregon I found their selection kind of disappointing, but char burger really stands out with great simple food and great prices! The only quirk that I find when I visit is the seriously dated dining area. The tables are very old but still functional among other cosmetic issues but this doesnt even cause hesitation when I think about going. Overall great place!

For a classic tasting burger, come to Char Burger. The size of the patty might be a bit small for some, so I recommend getting a double to taste the flavor of the beef. Comes with crispy fries that are delish! Cant beat the price, either. They have a lunch special for $5.95 that comes with burger, fries and a drink. Beats any fast food joint out there. Plenty of seating. Clean on the inside. They have outdoor seating on sunny days. Friendly staff as well. Eat here!

I been eating here for years. And I still go there! Everything is AWESOME..!!! The food is always delicious They have a really great service, very nice people. Everytime I go there, I always enjoy my time. The owner really know how to handle his customers. I have never left the place hungry at all. and the food is pretty cheap(they are served all day long). If you are looking for a place to eat during lunch or dinner, this is IT!!! Love their Burgers and Teriyaki.

If you know what GOOD FOOD is. You will NOT find it here. Ive been there 2 times and came out with TERRIBLE experiences. Burgers are nasty low quality meat and the yakisoba is a pile of dried out crap. The cook back there CANNOT COOK. JUST DONT GO. Theyre getting over on you. They dont care about cooking. Just the money.

The owner claims that the burgers taste best when you eat them there, but I think they taste just as amazing when I get them to go and head back to my climbing shop just around the corner. The 5.95 special has a good sized burger with a big stack of fries and the service is always friendly.

Third and last time I will ever go. Same issue everytime, Mediocre food and horrible service. Took almost 20 mins to fry two bags of fries while the girl talked on her cell phone the entire time. Then had the nerve to tell me to put the napkins I grabbed back cause I didnt "need" Them.

I paid extra for jalapenos on my burger and didnt get them. She even said with jalapenos when she called out my order when it was ready... but no jalapenos present. And of course, this was a to-go order so I didnt realize they had stiffed me until I had gotten back to my office. WTF.
