After hearing about how great this place for years, my wife and I finally tried it out 10/25/10. I guess I should have been wary when we were the only customers at 7:00pm on a Monday. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. The food started out great - the foi gras appetizer was delicious. They serve a complimentary cracker with duck pate that was a nice touch. The salads were $8 each and were ok. Entrees were a different story. My wife ordered the lamb and was very disappointed. The taste was terrible, way too gamey. She asked for medium well, it came out very rare. She could only eat two bites. Those bites cost $23.50 each. My ribeye steak was very tough, overcooked, and dry. Not even close to what a $32 steak should be. Outback does much much better for half the price. I couldnt eat more than half, it was so tough. Our server didnt offer to take anything off the price, or even box up the stuff for the cats. On top of that, when we got home, my wife and I both got sick. This place might have been good in the past, but now it has big problems.

No Stars!!! Worse experience ever!! Just had dinner with my book club. Had a cup of French Onion soup that was the worst I have ever had.....cold with the cheese laying in a cold block under soggy bread, a salad that was nothing but field greens from Walmart and a glass of house Cabernet wine and a Baileys and Coffee and it was $50!!!!!!! Service was lousy and the server was rude......acted like it was beneath him to wait on us and then to top it all off they added a 20% gratuity!!! Never, Ever go here unless you want to just bend over and empty out your pockets in return for poor service and lousy food!!!

Went to the French Hen last nite and it completely exceeded our expectations! I had the prime bone-in rib eye it was excellent and prepared and served to perfection, my wife had the lobster it was huge, and she ate every bite. We loved the atmosphere of the hen, it is a cozy little place that you are sure to run into local Tulsa people that you know. Our server was great she was knowledgable about the menu, polite and just a really sweet girl we really enjoyed her service. I highly recommend the French Hen for a nice night out for a wonderful dinner, I know we will definitely be going back!

This is a nice quiet place the food is gourmet so dont expect large portions but do expect a large price last time I went the food prices were not listed on the menu guess its theyre way if getting you to order it I had the mixed grill which was salmon duck and steak which only had a few pieces of duck and steak it was mostly salmon. My wife had Lamb anyway we spent over 160.00 that night and thats about all we got no dessert. But if moneys nothing to you its a nice place to spend it

We just Love the French Hen, we go at least twice per month. The food, chiefs, & servers are all Great, they dont skimp on their drinks like many of Tulsas fine dinning & other restaurants. They make the French Onion soup with Brie and it is the best I have ever had, BTW the grilled cheese sandwich is made with Brie, yummy. So check out the French Hen & enjoy the food & charm.

The food was very disappointing for the price. The atmosphere is great and it is a quiet place but if you dont like gravey on everything dont go. This was a place we picked because for my wifes birthday we wanted to go to a great French restuarant. Instead we went to an average French restuarant with inflated prices

The drinks are good and strong. They dont skimp on the alcohol. The meat is cooked tender and juicy. The serving portions are not that great. The only real complaint I have with The French Hen is that the bread is dry and cold. I like the restaurants to serve warm moist bread.

We tried The French Hen for the first time and were really pleased. Our server Lindsay was very attentive, prompt and knowledgeable.Our food was perfect. I had the mixed grill and my wife had the SeaBass. We will be back real soon and highly recommend this place.

I loved everything about this place... the atmosphere, the service, the variety on the menu, the fresh ingredients, the wine list and the full bar selection. We tried the osso bucco and the lamb and both were absolutely wonderful. And the bread was warm and fresh.

Great service, a varied menu that offers a classic French experience, extensive wine menu. A bit on the pricey side. But you can taste every dollar youre spending. Their patio is really cute and could do for an amazing date

If you can find this place, its like finding hidden treasure. Definitely one of the top 3 fine dining restaurants in Tulsa. It is probably #1 in atmosphere and #2 in food. It is not cheap, so come prepared to pay for it.
