The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Their communication and attention to detail when it comes to both listening and carrying out simple instructions are tasks they seem to struggle with. When they first opened we visited at least twice a week. In October of 2015 we experienced the first in a series of franchise faux pas, and as a result, we stopped eating there for a few months. Over this past summer, 2016, we tried eating there again a few times or so, but it was just not the same as it was when they first opened. Owning a business especially one that provides food, taste is king and service goes hand and hand with that. Hence the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

Located on Brown Street, also known as Erma Bombeck Boulevard, very near the Dayton University, I found this place while visiting the Dayton area during the Dayton Hamvention many years ago. I frequent the Pine Club, which is another landmark you should try, and found this place for other times of the day, such as lunch. I was very intrigued and found the subs and sandwiches to be quite excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient, and there is plenty of room to sit. It is popular with the college crowd, and as such, the prices are reasonable. I like the decor and theme that they used when designing this place. Most certainly I will be back every year. Maybe one day they will put one in Youngstown (OH).

I changed my review because since the time of my last review, I have been to Firehouse Subs a few more times and have noticed a considerable improvement. Each time I have been there, my sub was hot and fresh, loaded with meat, and delicious. I have ordered the chili again, and it too was awesome. The service was great and fast too. So, great work, Firehouse Subs. I am now a regular customer and am recommending you to others as well.

I took my wife here to try the amazing fire house subs. Unfortunately, the staff was very dull and seemed like they didnt care to be serving us or to be there for that matter. I have never had this problem at any other location and i am very disappointed.
