We ate here on Saturday night. This popular shopping mall location is always exceptionally busy and at 8:30 pm there was still a half hour wait. We thought to give our name when we arrived just in case there was a wait, and there was a store in the mall I wanted to visit before dinner. When presented with the table pager, I asked whether we should wait to get a pager until we came back. I was surprised when the hostess said no, take it with us shopping. A good tip - pick up the pager and cruise the mall for your shopping, apparently the range is good enough. The lighting is very dim in the restaurant which I prefer, but the menu is lengthy and complex and you must remember to bring your reading glasses if you are even a little far sighted, or you dont have much hope of reading the descriptions in the low light. I ordered a "Modern Old-Fashioned" off the menu, and we also had the crab wontons appetizer. For dinner. we had the Skinnylicious Steak Medallions and the Shrimp Sandwich. The crab wontons are fried and served with a tangy malt vinegar dipping sauce that goes well with the slightly sweet wontons. Easily shared by two people without being too small. The Skinnylicious Steak Medallion dinner was very nicely presented and not large at all (in comparison to most of their plates). A few steak buttons over a small amount of mashed potatoes, and a nicely arranged bit of grilled veggies (tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus). A perfect sized smaller meal. The Shrimp Sandwich was chunky and had the right amount of spice. I ate half and brought the other half home. It comes with fries, but you can substitute onion straws if you ask (the menu does not show this). The only reason for the three stars is the cocktails. I could taste the bourbon in my old-fashioned, but two drinks down in less than an hour and you would have had to tell me that I had an alcoholic drink if I did not know. There just was not much in there, except for a lot of ice. Most definitely not worth the $11 price tag for each one. Service was decent considering the size of the crowd. My waiter could have noticed my drink needed refilling a touch sooner. It also took the bar a long time to produce the second one and we were paying the bill by the time it came. The lengthy bar prep time on the second cocktail was not the servers issue and he stopped by to tell us that it was coming but the bar was taking a bit longer than expected. After about 9:15 pm there seemed to be empty tables, so if you are afraid of the wait on the weekend, try a little later at night. We skipped on the cheesecake for the evening when offered, and I would have liked to have seen some dessert cocktails or coffees on the menu.

Went with some friends around 10pm on a week night knowing the restaurant closed at 11pm. My boyfriend is a chef and has been avoiding going to the place ever since he heard of it, and he should have very well done so. The bread which is usually okay came out so rough that you couldnt even rip it apart. How long had it been sitting under the heat lamps or in the oven?? The appetizers of crispy calamari and crispy fried cheese were okay, but how can you mess up fried food? I order the hawaiian pizza and it was disgusting!! The ham and bacon were literally tasteless when theyre supposed to be sweet and salty. I get better bacon on the Wendys value meal!! Another friend ordered the Bang-Bang Chicken and Shrimp. It was supposed to have the flavors of chile, coconut, curry, and peanut, but it just tasted like a really sweet coconut glaze that had NO spice to it, not to mention it came out at almost room temperature. Another friend ordered the chicken and biscuits and his chicken was spongy. It was like ordering KFC and having all these other ingredients in the chicken so that it can be preserved longer and stretch further than chicken actually goes. Quite disgusting, and the mashed potatoes tasted like everything but potatoes. ALL the food came out cold and the only worthwhile things were the fried appetizers. I cant actually call most of the things we ate REAL food considering there were so many other ingredients in them (just like fast food..) and we paid such a large price for it. Cheesecake Factory is overrated and the food is worse than fast food for me!! Their menu is too enormous for everything to be done equally well. Can you imagine working in the kitchen and having to know how to do page after page after page of dishes?? At work, my boyfriend makes food for 400 people on a nightly basis, and he thought working there would be a nightmare. If youre wondering why I am so angry about this, its because I ended up with food poisoning the very next morning, approximately 12 hours after I ate there.

Worst experience ever !!! Long story short, my boyfriend left his wallet on the table didnt notice that he didnt have his wallet till we got all the way home which is a 30 min drive, I called to see if anyone had found or return a wallet that was left on a tabke. I called and some with TWO employees which both stated that the wallet was there. The second time I called I let them know that because of how far the drive is from home, that my boyfriend will be to pick his wallet up the next day after 5. The women who I spoke ( Kate) with said that will be fine shes going to put the wallet up and asked for his name which I gave her. The next day which was on a Tuesday my boyfriend called to let them know be was I his way to pick up s wallet just for them to say it wasnt there. I called and spoke with a the manager KORY which was VERY RUDE ! He pretty much told me that the women I spoke with name wasnt Kate it was Katylynn and hes pretty sure she doesnt go by that, and that the wallet isnt there and he cant do anything about someone losing there wallet. I explained to him that TWO of his employees a male and females both said it was there and i dont appreciate him calling me a lot, he stated that he didnt call me a liar but the wallet isnt there hes the manager from the night before and no one mentioned the wallet to him and they have a struck policy to if the wallet was there it would have been put in the safe which it isnt in the safe so he cant do anything about it besides a name down. I told him that Im very familiar with policy and all it takes is for him to review the cameras and bam he had he answer after going back and fourth I told him that i woukd speak to someone above him. After cancelling cards, getting new driver, getting new Licences, and ect I get a called Thursdays saying the wallet was there and we could come pick it up.

Chains arent usually my thing, but absolutely ridiculously amazing cheesecake IS my thing. So I go to The Cheesecake Factory. A lot. My husband and I probably visit once a month. We split an appetizer and then we each get a slice of cheesecake and share (its always better to have two flavors!). We usually go for Oreo, Reeses or Salted Caramel. If you dont like cheesecake, dont worry. Their menu has about one hundred pages. Im sure you can find something. Even when it comes to desserts, there are options other than cheesecake. I would particularly recommend The Godiva Brownie Sundae. But youll probably want to share because its ENORMOUS! Ive tried a lot of different things on their menu. There are many good choices. Back in my vegetarian days when I ate nothing buy pasta, I loved their four cheese pasta and their alfredo pasta. But nowadays, if I want an entree, Id go for their burger and sweet potato fries. Its also worth mentioning that they offer omelets all day long. Sometimes my husband wants breakfast for dinner and goes that route. But most of the time we want something light or small before diving into the hardcore sugar. If you want someone the lighter side, I would get their bleu cheese and pear flatbread, which was super delicious. Their Greek salad is pretty great too. But most of the time, my hubby and I go all out and share the crispy cuban rolls, loaded nachos or fried mac and cheese.
