I live two minutes from this Giant Eagle and I refuse to shop there. First, Im an idiot for continually thinking, "Well, it will be different this time" when it never is and I kept trying to have a good experience there. The head cashier, the one who stands over at the station by the wall was taking her gum in and out of her mouth playing with it. The cashiers are ill trained and rude, not all, but most. If I dont do the self check, I deal with having a bag shoved at me, or listening to a conversation between cashiers while Im being waited on. The final straw was looking up from placing my groceries on the counter and seeing the bag-boy with his finger in the back of his mouth picking his teeth. I was so stunned I couldnt say a word.I washed my groceries with Purel when I got home. Im no germ-phobe, but this is my food, folks. The Giant Eagle in Green is only six minutes further down the road. Those cashiers are polite and friendly. I am asked if I need any help finding things while I am in a store aisle. The lady who worked in the bakery was able to tell me my favorite cookie had been discontinued-she saw me looking around and even guessed at what I was trying to find. Excellent service. Oh, and I never had to wash my groceries or feel like I needed a shower after I shop there.

Customer service is satisfactory. However, lots food on the shelves at this location are only a few days away from expiring. A lot of produce, such as onions, grapefruit, oranges, etc. feel soft and mushy to the touch. They recently changed the layout of their store and discontinued a large amount of items, mostly healthy food. Their chip aisle has been expanded to an entire aisle; it used to be half the size. They did, however, create a large toy aisle that is conveniently located in the same aisle as the cereal. On a positive note, there is a Huntington bank at this location that is open late. The pharmacy is just okay; no competitive pricing and crowded. My family will not be shopping here as a main grocery store anymore. We will only stop in to pick up an item or two if its late and we need it - they are open until midnight every day.

Always poor customer service. Too many times now food expires too quickly so I am forced to not purchase anything and have to drive down to acme. Ridiculous conversation that is unfortunate to hear from employees about their Saturday night rendevouz. . Disgusting. No one smiles and greets you. No one is ever around for help you. Plus they make you feel like you are in their way for getting an item you need while their stocking something. I mean what??!! No "what can I help you with or grab for you?" Corn on the cob and watermelon is gross. No clue where they get this stuff. Had a conversation with a woman in the bakery once how they leave the cakes out for more than 7 days if they dont sell. Which explains why the bakery items suck! I could go on and on . . . . Shut this store down.

I decided to go to the cutest cashier, so I went to self checkout. The machine insists you use a giant eagle card, which I do not have. The lady standing there comes over and scans her card as Im about to go to a register with a cashier, while stating rudely that I must have a giant eagle card to use it, as if I havent figured that nonsense out already. Anyway, I buy it, get home only to realize the food item I just purchased expires in TWO DAYS. Horrible store at this location. Im not shopping here, possibly any Giant Eagle store ever again. Now I have to hurry and use the food before it goes bad. Not even stepping foot inside this atrocity to return it.

Its not the nicest, but its far from nasty! Ive never felt that I needed to wash my groceries with Purell, saw a bag boy digging in his mouth, or paid close enough attention to the cashiers conversation to hear what they were talking amongst themselves about. Ive been to the one in Green and although it is nice, I felt unwanted there and out of place. Maybe its my ethnicity, but I saw wasnt asked if I needed help or was I looking for something in particular. Im just saying!

I live near this store and I drive to the Giant Eagle in Green because the cashiers are rude and groceries are bagged poorly. Cashiers are too busy gossiping with other ones to give you the proper respect and service. The appearance of the staff is trashy, with men wearing pants hanging so low their underwear shows. It is disgusting, The restrooms are as filthy as the staff. Go to the store in Green if you want courteous help and a clean store.

The open air produce needs more attention and the hot foods selection need a more frequent rotation. The dairy section could be closer to the front entrance IMO. Otherwise, this location is very clean and the staff is equally as friendly. If you are a female and good looking, you have a 90% chance of getting checked out by the random Akron Police Officer posted on site near customer service, no matter which one is there. Its creepy.

Giant Eagle have big selection of things and they have a lot of name-brand things if youre looking for that that other places dont have their meat is pretty good and they have a Seafood Bar they have a salad bar they have a state store for liquor they have a lot of things in there and a lot of their produce is really good however Giant Eagle is higher I think than other places and but they are really good store

Leave it to our uneducated police force to ruin an otherwise clean nice store. Went to use the restroom where employees wash their hands. Akron police officer hocking phlem into the sink, not the toilet or trash, the sink. This is a bio hazard. Shame on the big dumb police officer. Shame.

The lady at the fish counter is very rude and nasty, she will out front stocking, sees customers but will not acknowledge them. Continues working and takes her sweet time. When she finally goes back behind the counter shes very snarky as if were bothering her. I dread dealing with her.

They are often out of sale items and the store is becoming more run down. The variety of items they carry is getting to be less and less. I find myself going to other, larger stores because they doing carry enough selection, especially in the dairy department.

Giant Eagle recently changed their layout and no w the store is even worse. The quality of the meat section has always been iffy and now theyve eliminated a lot of items stor wide. I wont be going back unless absolutely necessary and I stay 2 minutes from there.

There isnt too much to say about a Giant Eagle. It has most of the groceries you want. Just be sure to check some products before you put them in your cart. I got all the way home before realizing the lemonade I bought had the word BAD written across the side.
