I would like to not give any stars, but I guess one will do, I received the worst cake ever. It was a short notice cake, but they said they could do it, I picked up the cake on my way outta town and had no option but to take it because I didnt have time to go anywhere else, otherwise I would have left it there and asked for my money back. I asked them to write two things on it, they ended up putting those ugly cheap plastic saying on it and wrote one name...sideways.. And horribly (the three year old could have done it better) and half the cake had a balloon picture on it, which tasted and felt like wax in our mouths. And you could break it off in chunks because it was so thick! Not only that but there was the thinnest amount of frosting I have ever seen, as thin as ywo pieces of paper together... Despite all this I thought maybe it will taste good!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT, hard old tasting cake. Im sorry but if you couldnt have made a decent cake in time you should have told me it couldnt be done instead of giving me the cake that ended up in the garbage. Worst $40 I have ever spent!

Good Aim for effort, but the cake maker seems to not have a decorator / or be well trained in the art. The icing writing seemed to resemble prison writing. Slanted with the tiniest icing print?! Also there was acrylic beads wrapped around the cake, which in removing to prepare slices for my birthday party, it ripped all the icing away from the cake :( I gave specifics for a pink and green cake. The cake had brown on it. I ordered a vanilla cake and definitely got some sort of pound cake. All the cake slices I tried were tasty in the shop, but it was different when we ate the cake. I was told I couldnt order a strawberry batter cake either, which I didnt understand. Not happy, and so sad to say I would not recommend others.

Unfortunately, my experience with Cakes Galore was not pleasant. The cake decorating was very sloppy and actually was not even what I ordered. I was too embarrassed to even present the cake to the intended recipient. Because it was pre-paid order, I was told that I could not AND would not receive a refund. The staff was unsympathic to my concerns only sarcastically asking “What do you want me to do about it”…which led me to walk away unhappy and without a birthday cake for my spouse, for surely I would not have trusted this business to provide me with a “untainted” re-make (I’m sure you understand what I am saying). Cakes Galore needs to have more awareness of what it means to provide customer satisfaction.

Mrs. Pearl made a "Gator" groom’s cake at my daughters wedding. She made it just the way I asked and it looked so perfect! The look of the cake was the most important thing to me because I have seen a lot of cartoon-looking gator cakes. The cake tasting great was never a worry because she made one for my husband on his birthday and made it into an "A" for Alabama, RTR, and it was perfect and wonderful tasting! And, YES, I could go on and on about how GOOD her cakes are without a doubt! P.S. To be in her shop when school lets out is a blessing!

My two year old daughter could have done a better job at designing a cake than Cakes Galore. The cake was supposed to be for a birthday but was designed for christmas. Not only was the cake overpriced you could have purchased a better tasting cake from Winn Dixie as their cake was dry and had no flavor. I would not recommend cakes galore and you would be wise to purchase a cake elsewhere.

My daughters wedding was in July... about 3 weeks before the wedding we were told our cake decorator was ill .. so we searched for someone new.. Ms Pearl at Cakes Galore was the absolute best... decorating, taste, delivery, setup and making certain eveything was perfect. I recommend her to everyone

My daughter celebrated her 30th birthday on April 24, 2010. Her younger sister bought a cake from this business. It was wonderful! Somebody said,"The chocolate covered strawberries were better than Peterbrooke".: Thats quite a compliment!

Ordered Gator cake for husband birthday, design was bad,and cake was old and hard,end up throwing cake away,waste of 50.00 ,now the pound cakes are great,but dont buy a birthday cake
