I requested a takeout order via phone call and went to pick it up 30 min later, as directed. When I got there, I waited about 10 minutes to be approached by any member of the staff while I watched a couple employees talk to customers seated near the entrance. I was ignored at that point when they saw me as if it wasnt their job. When first approached by a host, I told him that I was there to pick up an order. Instead of helping me, he asked me to wait so he could seat the customers who arrived after I had. Another 5 minutes or so later, I was finally helped. The person who helped me couldnt find my order. Once they found it I paid and left. When I finally had the chance to eat my meal I saw that I had about 10 fries total in two boxes of food that were almost completely empty. The food was overpriced for what I received and the service has been clearly defined in this lengthy review.

I got delivery on a Friday evening and I ordered anything but pizza from a place known for pizza. I made mistakes, sure. I got a salad, soup, and fettuccine Alfredo. The soup was decent, the service was good, the salad was decent, and the little bread with whipped butters that came with the food were the best part. However, the pasta was not great. Although properly cooked there was not enough sauce and it was far from creamy as a good Alfredo is. Id go again and try the pizza although I hear its quite average as well. I think my favourite part overall was the branded Green Mill plates and containers. They have a comforting appeal with their simplistic green and white colour scheme.

Thought this placed looked good with their website decided to order online. Got the confirmation email for order placed at 7:02 , got the food at 8:20. This place is 8 minutes from where we live. We ordered a pizza, a burger, fries and cheese curds. Pizza bottom is burnt, Fries are cold, Cheese curds are better at Culvers, and the LUKE WARM burger would of been more seasoned from McDonalds. Seriously disappointed. Restaurant and Bar cause you need to be drunk to enjoy the food. EDIT my bf contacted the email. They said they would give us a gift card after we sent them our address. Nothing has arriv3d its been 2 months. Dont get food here.

We ordered food for delivery on a Friday night at 8pm. Our food didnt show up until 10 pm. If I would have known it was a 2 hour delivery I wouldnt have ordered. I could have ordered pizza faster. So I called the store to see where my food was and I talked to the manager who was very rude about it telling me about there full restaurant and a 50 person party that they had and she raised her voice at me over the phone. I was not very impressed. If you cant staff accordingly and if you advertise delivery then make it known to customers that you will be waiting 2 hours for there food.

Terrible!!! I really like Green Mills food but the service is TERRIBLE! I placed an order online for delivery, it said please give them 60 minutes. Ok I did, and after an hour and a half I call the restaurant and they guy on the line says yup yup he just left.... After waiting well over two hours I finally call back and just say forget it. All I ordered was pasta and I literally live 2.4 miles away from the restaurant. Now lets hope the manager comes through and doesnt charge me for waiting and for the dinner I never got. Frustrated!!!

I stop in Fargo each time I come north each year and pick Fargo to stop in because of the Green Mill. This year (19 Aug)was particularly pleasant from the time I walked in to the time I left. The hostest was very nice and seated me promptly. My server Kaitlin was very upbeat and polite. It has been sometime since I have had this quality of service. She deserves to be recognized for her great attitude. The food was great also.As long as I can make this trip I will continue to stop in Fargo and dine at the Green Mill. thanks

Run of the mill chain restaurant. Nothing really inventive that sets it apart. The decor appears dated to mid 90s - but it is tidy. I had a salad that was interesting, in a not so delicious way. I guess its not that the salad was bad...its almost as if someone tried to be a fusion chef and someone was afraid to say no. I know the local chains only serve what comes down from corporate. The service was friendly from the hosts to the server. If the food tasted better Id give it a fourth star.

Traveled to Fargo just to get out of our small town. Green Mill was close by and looked good from the pictures and reviews we had seen. Lets just say the walleye wasnt seasoned and was shredded with bones on my plate. It was prepared with about 5 pieces of vegetables and a salad that had rotten tomatoes. I paid $20 for this meal. We were supposed to get bread with our meal and it was brought out by the time we were almost done eating. Unfortunately we left dissatisfied. Wouldnt recommend.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. Place feels pretty rundown...well past its prime. Everyone in our party is a fan of Green Mill from a food options perspective, but this particular restaurant wasnt quite up to snuff. Two out of 5 orders were incorrect. Server didnt know the beer list. Table was a very odd and discombobulated thing with fold up "wings" that provided an uneven and unstable eating surface. Food was at best average. Wasnt what Ive come to expect from Green Mill.

POOR POOR **POOR**SERVICE. We had made a reservation for a party of 9 including 2 small children.Once we arrived @ the restaurant the lady at the front desk (very poor hospitality skills) informed us that "they didnt write the reservation down,and they are full right now come back in a hour". We aksed if we could then eat in the 1/2 empty banquet room she replied "Nope those are full also". WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

The service was exceptional, even though we got there close to closing time. We took a booth in the bar which was roomy. We each had a Bloody Mary, which has salami, celery, olives and a couple different cheeses immersed in the drink and is a snack itself while waiting. My boyfriend and I both had the Shrimp Arrabbiatta which is somewhat spicy but not overly spicy. It was delicious. It was served quickly and hot. Perfect.

Even on a not busy day it took 15 minutes to get our drinks and we didnt see our waitress again. After waiting for 35 minutes with no food or even our salads, we decided to leave. The manager helped us pay for our drinks and when I told him what happened, he did not even acknowledge us or attempt to placate us. Ended up contacting corporate about it. Completely unacceptable. Will not be back.

Amazing!! not only the service but the food as well. There should be a warning next to the Chicken. Adobo because of how hot it was. Our server was so great with the kids. My daughter spilt her drink as we were leaving and they offered her another one to take home. There is no other place in Fargo that the service has been better. Thank you green mill for a great dining experience.
