Mangiamos is a little Italian restaurant tucked in the corner of 635 and Preston. We walked in and were seated right away. The first thing I noticed when I looked at the menu was that they had the staples you would come for at a typical italian joint. We ordered a large Margarita pizza (off menu item) for the 4 of us and poured ourselves a glass of wine (BYOB). The pizza was fantastic. The crust was crunchy and chewy, the sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes. The topping to cheese to sauce to crust ratio was on point (can you tell I love pizza yet?) We have been looking for a local pizza joint and I can safely say this is going to be it! Because we got a large pizza we decided share an entree. My boyfriend and I got the Chicken Piccata. Perfect portion size and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pasta was tossed with the lemon sauce and was not over cooked. My boyfriends Mom and Stepdad ordered the Chicken Cacciatore. The Cacciatore was some of the best I have ever had. Over all great food, great service and great atmosphere. You can tell that this is a family restaurant and the food is cooked with love. The prices are reasonable. I will be coming back for sure!

Small mom & pop Italian restaurant with fresh food cooked to order. We have eaten there several times and enjoyed every meal. The server staff range from outstanding to adequate new hires. It is not expensive at all for the quality of food you get. A real restaurant with nice family people. If you want fancy-schmancy tricked up plates and fawning waiters, go somewhere else, if you want real Italian fresh food and decent service come here. Its BYOB with a $2 glass charge, so you dont spend 4x on a glass of table wine. Weekday lunches are not crowded, but Friday and Saturday nights will have a long wait if you delay past 5pm. They close early Sat night at 8:30pm and are closed Sunday and Monday (its a family restaurant, they need a life too). Just be glad its here in Dallas. capisci? The pizza is really good too, thin crust NYC style.

Very rude service!!!! Me and some co workers went for lunch we where greeted and seated and was served water but left for more than 10 minutes waiting for a waitress to take our order.. once we tried to get the attention of the waitress she ignored us and then came to our table and said in a rude voice that they will not be serving us today!!! We where surprise and left with a look of "really" on our face! So as we were leaving one of my co workers wanted to know why we were told that we would not be waited on and the rude lady kept saying they will not be serving us today.. please do not take your service here. Apparently they have enough money and they dont value other people time and respect!

My wife and I ate here last night, the staff was friendly and attentive, the food was fantastic. The lasagna was a very generous portion size and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The ceasar salad was very good, the dressing fresh and not overpowering. My wife got the chicken parmesan, and it was such a generous portion she couldnt finish it. The appetizer was mozzarella sticks made from scratch. Very, very good. Price is a little on the high side but the quality of service and food makes it worth it. We live an hour and fifteen minutes away and we will definitely drive that far to come back.

The restaurant didnt open until 5PM, so we had to wait a while to get in. But the food was well worth the wait. Their bread is spectacular, as it is a crispy brown on the outside, while being soft and delicious on the inside. Absolutely perfect! The pizza was also amazing because it was the perfect balance of crispy crust, a flavorful sauce, and cheese. The chicken parmigiana with spaghetti was also just about perfect, which made the meal nearly flawless. Simply put, this is the best Italian food that I have had outside of Italy!

We have been coming here for several years. Today they took it upon themselves to add a 20% tip to the bill. Thats over $40 for one pizza and four soft drinks. No bread, no refills, or water included. Atmosphere is dated. Not coming back, ever. If a business fails to pay their people a good wage, the customer should not be forced to pay entitlement benefits to their employees. The service earned a is in the 5 to 10% tip range.

We had the worst experience of our lives there last night. The waitress was surly and after waiting almost as hour the informed us they had lost our order. We we said never mind and got up to leave the acted like it was our fault and said dont ever come back. Trust me we wont. I cant comment on the food, it never arrived. It must have gotten all its good ratings from family members.

We went for lunch. Food was great, and the bread was amazing! Our waitress seemed a little pre-occupied, which was a little disheartening since there were only a few tables, and she got our check amount incorrect, but food made up for it. They say it gets hopping on Fri and Sat nights, and its BYOB. Might be worth a visit in the evening.

I have no idea how this place was rated 4.7. The chicken parmigiana I tried was one step to terrible. I tasted nothing from that dish. And the sauce is way too far to being done. That explains the ladys comment, "the sause tastes like fresh tomatoes". Thats because the sause is undercooked. The price is the only thing surprises me.

If you like traditional New York pizza, this is as close as youre going to get in the D/FW Metroplex. This is our new favorite pizza place, recommended by some new friends who are displayed New Yorkers. The food is exceptional as is the service.

Loved it! Very good wait staff. Food was perfectly seasoned (to my taste). Noise level was moderately high but tolerable. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was typical strip mall casual. I plan to return.
