Visited a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. We ordered the sampler and then another round of cheese balls because they (with their amazing mozzarella) were delicious. For the main i ordered the eggplant parm which was the best I ever had. Another ordered the special for the night which was a pesto chicken linguini and she loved it. The other two ordered two of the most expensive entrees available and said it was worth every penny. I never order desert, but since everything else was an awesome sensory overload we decided to get one of everything :) My preference was the Italian cream cake followed by the tuxedo. I probably gained 5 lbs in 2 hours, but I would do it again in a heart beat. Considering the last Italian place I visited was twice as expensive and horrendous staff, I was incredibly happy to have found Marcellos. Only small negative was that I was not in love with the wine selections. I am a wine snob though. living so close to Palisade Co, its hard not to be ;)

Two years ago, I had written a very positive review in the Trip Advisor in the hope that things were going better. Our last visit was our last visit, period. I had great hope for the sole amandine and I had chosen Marcellos because I was tired of blackened fish which is the mainstay of the island. What a disappointment! The order started badly as the waiter explained that he did not think there was any gluten-free pasta. Oh really? It does not go bad. It keeps in the pantry. The salad was extremely sad looking: a bit of lettuce, a wedge of tomato, 2 slices of cucumber, a dusting of carrots and dressing on the side. The biggest disappointment was the fish: under the almonds was a tiny piece of blackened tilapia! The baked potato was good, but I do not want to pay $22 for a baked potato. We are not going back!

We absolutely adored this restaurant. There were 7 girls in my party and we were seated almost immediately (in November). Once they knew we were a Bachelorette party, they were very excited. Our waiter, Gary, was so kind and helpful. Their bread is freaking amazing. It is garlic and butter melt in your mouth deliciousness. We got a box of it to take back to the beach house. Their glasses of wine are big, the cocktails are cheap and delicious (especially the bellini). I had the pasta pomodoro and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. The service was fast, the food delicious, the drinks strong and cheap, and our love for this restaurant grew with every passing minute. Much thanks and appreciation to this delicious place!!

Im not a person who typically reviews restaurants but I had to pull out my phone for this one. Id like to start with the food; absolutely amazing! I was very surprised with how good everything tasted and I had a very good portion size. Also they start you off with fresh hot bread. The service is really nice too; they come just when you need them and they dont stand over your shoulder while you eat. The restaurant is classy and beautifully laid out inside. We sat by the window which gave us a great view of the light house. Finally the price. We went in thinking it would be expensive based on looks but to our surprise the food was very reasonably priced. I recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The food is nice and there used to be this English waiter that was pretty good. Unfortunately, one day, me and my wife walked in, coming back from the beach. They did not want to serve us because with 100+ F heat outside, my wife wanted to continue wearing her bikini top. That was not a problem before, but all of a sudden it became a problem. So, we decided to never eat there again. Theres other less snobbish restaurants out there, and Id rather give them my business instead. Sorry guys, you ARE next to the beach. If you were in Kansas, I might have been more understanding.

As soon as we walked in, the hostess was very friendly and gave a history of the restaurant. Our waiter Anel was very attentive and excellent service, not to mentioned the food was very delicious. They bring warm garlic bread which is super good... There portions are good size and the prices are reasonable for this good italian food...I highly recommend it if you want some good italian food...Over all the service was very good and friendly here at Marcellos in Port Isabel.

First n last time there! I asked for a glass of water n it was straight from the faucet. I replaced it with tea n it was just as nasty. We were attracted to this restaurant because they were promoting $7.95 all you can eat... But they charged us $11.95 each. If u want to share an entree, there is a $3 extra charge. The bread they brought us was raw. The food was not that great! The table clothes were stained.. very dirty.

We ended up here after our other lunch plans fell through and Im so glad they did. The food was amazing. The pasta was so light, I never felt the normal heaviness that normally accompanies eating Italian food. I was able to polish off all my food including the most amazing pear something or other cake like desert. Next time I visit South Padre Ill make sure to take in another meal here.

Their steak was delicious well cooked.. although Im not a zucchini and squash fan it was still a awesome meal.. bread is fantastic and very tasty. The reviews actually matched this time around. But our waiter Carlos was not very attentive and we waited for our check and to go boxes for over 5min thats crazy . After the fact of asking them.

The sauce I usually get with my eggplant Parmesan is marinara. They gave me some white garlic sauce that had no flavor. My Sister got fish, it was very expensive and it tasted aweful! It was flounder. Never will we go there again! Food was not good. The fish was soggy and what they put on it was worse! Waste of money.

Worst Possible Italian Food we have ever had. My wife said the Chicken at Whataburger is better than here. I had an Italian dish, not fish and thought I had licked a fish, scales and all. Could not get the taste out of my mouth for hours. They need to review how they prepare their food.

Service was very promt to take our order. We had the cheese sticks, and they were very good. I had the minestrone soup, and lasagna which was great. My wife had the salad, and the chicken Alfredo. Both her items were not as good. We would go back, but would not order her combo again.

Several years ago went there. Seems to be the same on service. Actually the locals are served before the out of towners. The experience years ago. Took over an hour to get salad, never made it to the order to the meals. We were courteous in paying for the excessive tea and salad.

We had plans to go to Gabriela but they were very rude on the phone and would but make a reservation for us. So we ended up coming her and so glad we did. Very good service owner was wonderful. We will be coming back!!!! Food was awesome as well generous portions for the price.
