We recently had dinner at Mama Mias. I was served a salad that consisted of merely romaine lettuce stalks, a few pieces of grated carrot and two slices of mushy as crap tomatoes. Not to mention a small lake of water in the bottom of the bowl. The ranch dressing (served on the side) was completely tastelss as it had been watered down. My daughter ordered a calzone and it was loaded with so much cheese and 7 pieces of pepperoni. It was so greasy that the grease was puddling on the bottom of the plate. When my husband and I were served our meal, the extra plate we requested was filthy...dried pasta sauce and what looked like dried lettuce. The waitress must have surely been blind to have not seen the dried on food on the plate. We brought it to her attention and you would have thought we blamed her personally. She was very defensive and not to mention so arrogant. We ordered a chicken dish and the chicken breast was so over cooked that it was difficult to cut and very, very dry. The bread was merely melted butter poured in buckets over dried out bread. When they first opened, they had very good food. Then they expanded and from then on, it was downhill as far as quality of food. We will never return to Mama Mias

Tried to go there tonight. The hours on the door state they close at 10pm. We arrived at 9:25 to eat. Saw a girl vaccuming the entryway. We opened the door and she (very coldly) told us they were closed. I said, "arent you open until 10?". She said, "we are cleaning up." When a restaurant states they are open until 10, to me that means the kitchen is cooking food until 10. It doesnt mean that all the employees are to clean up and all be filing out the door at 10. What makes me sick is these kids working at these places and they dont want to be bothered with customers. They want to clean up early so they can go home early. Im not one who likes to slide in a place minutes before they close, but I thought 35 minutes before closing was not asking too much. We wound up going to Pizza Hut and we were out by 10:15. If we had eaten at Mama Mias, we should have been out by 10-10:05 because it wasted some of our time having to drive to Pizza Hut whereas we would have been already in Mama Mias and ordering. And they would have had another $35 to add to the days totals. Their loss but I will be informing the owner of this.

I at lunch here 4/8/8. I walked in and was told by a server sit anywhere. I was stopped by another server who said, "What are you doing? I seat you, you dont seat yourself." I merely explained what the other server said. She replied, "We seat you, thats how we do it here." I was escorted to the non-smoking section. I read the menu of variety of foods and made my selection. I waited 20 minutes. Meanwhile a couple of ladies came in and sat at the next table after I had ordered. They ordered the same thing I did. They got theirs five minutes BEFORE mine. The snotty server said nothing. The food was just okay. I think the poor flavor came mostly from the server. Skip this place - there is another Italian place on the other side of town called Marios. Good food and service.

Best pizza in the area. Really the only one that gets close to the pizza styles of New York and Jersey. Excellent sauce and not an overly thick, hard crust like the other places here claiming to have "NY style pizza." Weve only dined in once and we told the server we were new to the area. They were extremely nice and the manager or owner sent over free garlic knots. Just a heads up though, no free refills on soda, which I felt like shouldve been communicated, but she didnt mention it and we were surprised to see it on the bill. Every time weve ordered a pizza (pepperoni and extra cheese) to go, which is often, it is consistently delicious. As is the calamari.

This is a typical American family restaurant who uses the "Italian theme" as an excuse to serve low quality food. When I ordered pasta with Italian sausage and peppers, I was brought a mound of spaghetti with a few slices of Italian sausage and a few hot pepper flakes (those you sprinkle on pizza). I wish the Italian government could sue the owner for misrepresentation of cultural artifacts...lol In other words, if you think that Ragazzi is a great restaurant, you will love this place.

Have lived in Wilson for over a year and tried Mama Mias for the first time tonight. My husband was working and daughter off for the night, so my son and I went for a mother/son date. He is 2 yrs old and of course wanted pizza and I ordered Penne a la Dolio. His pizza was delicious and he ate 1/2 of small pizza himself and my pasta was delicious. Will definitely become a regular patron and bring back the whole family.

I recently went to eat at Mama Mias for the first time and was very impressed by the amazing service, and even better food! We took the whole family, and I can honestly say that we have never had better pizza! The owner personally came to check on us and was extremly nice and very personable! We will definately be back and are very happy to see that Wilson finally has a good place to eat italian!!

What a great waitress we had. Her name was Lisa. She was very kind and attentive. She made us feel very comfortable like we were family. The restaurant is very lucky to have her. The world needs more kind people like her. Not only was the service absolutely wonderful the place was very clean and the food was delicious. Best itialian food I have had in a while. Thank you so much for your service.

One of my fav places to eat. Food is made fresh and the portions are huge. Pizza is great! Our fav thing to get isnt on the menu but they have no problems being creative: vodka pizza. Combination of their great pizza with the made from scratch vodka pasta sauce with added mozzarella cheese and oregano. Ummm! Why go to chain Italian restaurant when you can get better here??

Was 5 stars, but when the little kid runs the register, he over charges and rips you off. Make sure his dad the owner bills you out, that kid is cut throat and dosnt understand good buisness practice, back to Italian pizza and subs I go, that kid over charges me everytime, and looks like he is 12

I order a crispy chicken salad for pick up. When I arrived at home, I noticed they did not include my dressing. I had said no onions and they still added it. They did not provide fork, knife or napkin with my salad. So upsetting, not ordering anymore salads from them.

This place is one of the best kept secrets in Wilson! Great food, generous portions, and a super friendly staff. I am a big fan of the Gyros! (also, grab the garlic knots as an appetizer....amazing!)
