While it may be the same company as the other Armettas, its not nearly as good as the others. It took 45 minutes for them to bring us two dishes (chicken Parmesean & shirmp/crab gnocchi), which is exceptionally slow. It wasnt overly busy and other patrons were getting their food. Additionally, the shrimp and crab gnocchi didnt have any crab in it, at least none that was apparent. When we went to pay, it still took about 5 minutes for someone to help me. There were 3 young men who were apparently delivery drivers, but none knew how to operate the cash register. Why the employees arent fully trained is beyond me. Once the lady on the phone got done, she asked how everything was. I explained that the meal was not up to our expectations and told her that it took 45 minutes and there was no crab. Her response: "oh, well, were really busy and we might have run out of pasta. The owner is making more pasta. Oh, and we dont really put much crab in that dish because its too expensive." WHAT???? This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant. How do you run out of pasta??? And why do you offer a dish that clearly says "crab", but then tell the customers that its too expensive to put crab in it? Why not just call it shrimp gnocchi and leave it at that? Or, if its really that expensive, why not charge more? And why ask how everything was and then not really care about the customers response? We have been a frequent customer of Armettas on the Parkway, but this experience has left a really bad impression on us. I really hope the owner sees this review and takes action. The Minneville location needs some hands on management!

I moved to this area in 2006. Armettas is right around the corner from me. It was one of the first places I ever tried. I have been a repeat customer every year since then. They have the best Eggplant Parm I have ever had in my life. crisp outside, tender inside and the sauce an cheese just perfect. Their salads are perfect complements, and the bread is awesome. As mentioned their subs are first class, also! hot Italian with extra ital dressing on the side - and top it off with an order of fries? the perfect meal and the portions are large. I know what I am ordering tonite!! Prices are med to high, but excellent for the quality and quantity. I get two meals out of the eggplant parm, no problem (with pasta). My only gripe is that my favourites are so good that I dont order their Italian seafood cuisines that seem to be a specialty. Really if you want great Sicilian style Italian, this is the hometown place to go!!

Im not sure where some of these folks ate? It wasnt Armettas in Staples Mill Plaza! Growing up in the Philly area I know what good pizza and sandwiches are all about! Lets get this out of the way first: NO ONE WILL FIND A BETTER HOAGIE THAN FOUND IN THE PHILLY AREA! OK, Armettas! The pizza is among the best I have ever eaten anywhere ... hands down! The cheese steaks are phenomenal! Now, Im a pizza and cheese steak eater, so, your food experience may vary although I have not heard any complaints from folks I have eaten there with. As far as the cleanliness and atmosphere, come on Tom Tom! You were having a bad day and couldnt wait to get home to beat up on Armettas! The staff is friendly, the food arrives fast, and the place is clean! It is usually very quiet, so, the atmosphere is aOK to me! I recommend Armettas without a doubt!

Ive had two experiences with this restaurant and wont go back. The first time I took my son here for lunch during the week. The soup I ordered was good, but the sub wasnt. We waited forever for our order (and for refills), which was really strange because we were literally the only people in the entire place. I couldnt eat the sandwich, I wrapped it and took it home and hoped somebody else would eat it, because it was expensive and I didnt want it to go to waste. Then my husband ordered pizza from here a couple weekends ago for delivery and it was also very expensive - and completely bland. It had zero taste and took forever to arrive.

We were there on 4/1/2017. Waited an hour for our food although the restaurant was not at full capacity. My chicken marsala had no hint of marsala wine, and the meat itself was simmered and had no indication of having been floured and browned as is the norm for this dish. My wifes eggplant Parmesan was equally flacid and without taste. The sauces appear to be canned and are lacking flavor. Service was outstanding and the server did very well. Their companion store - Tonys is the opposite - one of the best pizzas Ive ever had but they dont serve entrees.

Great pizza and quick Italian food. Probably not a place for a dedicated "foodie" but we like it. We usually pick it up for takeout...call ahead and it is ready within 15-20 minutes -- be careful not to order too much! The servings are huge. Each dinner item (spaghetti, lasagna, etc.) comes with enough to feed 2-3 people. It is a bit pricey for takeout -- but you do get a lot of food.

The service was nice, the restaurant was barely full, however the food was awful. The pizza we ordered was bland and the marinara sauce they serve with the calamari left much to be desired. Sorry I just cant go back.

They are overpriced and their Pizza is not all that. The bread that they serve is just warmed up sub rolls and the service there is awful. It always takes forever to get anything there! I would not recommend at all!

Good local pizza. It has the shape of NY Style pizza, but because they dont use the big ovens they cant get that "crunch" consistently. Subs are good and the staff is REALLY friendly. Love eating there often.
