I have NEVER been treated as badly as a customer in a restaurant as I was tonight. Cassie was our server and Bobbie was the manager that just told us to have a "blessed day and dont come back". Word to the wise. If you are going to insult and then throw someone out of an establishment, make sure it isnt a former executive chef with plenty of contacts in the area. Lets start from the beginning of the worst dining experience I have ever had. Cassie, the peach of a server we had, seemed flustered that she had even been seated another table. She took our drink orders, then a good 5 min later came back for our dinner order. 20 minutes later we finally got our dinner (a chicken and dumplings dinner and a chicken tenders dinner). When the plates were sat down, one of my fiances pieces of chicken looked like it had been bit off of and put on his plate. I didnt get my dinner rolls (no biggie) and I got mac and cheese and green beans for my sides... the green beans... oh those nasty nasty green beans. I literally spit them out. They tasted rancid. When I said something to the manager "Bobbie", she took them away... but we never saw our server again. Cassie never came back to our table. She had another server bring us our ticket and "dessert" if you can call the Styrofoam cup of mush that she brought us a dessert. When we pointed it out to the manager.... using that term real loosely at this point... she said "its free, what do you expect?!?" I said "I, #1 expected to eat my dessert here, and #2 expected to have more than just a spoonful. AND it isnt free if it is included in the price of the meal...." She, the server with a superiority complex, then told us that was fine we didnt have to come back. With that type of "management", I dont see this place sticking around for long. Do yourself a favor, eat elsewhere.

I cannot stress enough the consistency of this place. Each and every time Ive come in Ive gotten excellent service and friendly waitresses. The first time I ate here I had the country fried steak and fried okra. Im quite picky on my okra to be honest, but when I tried it I was delighted to find it was delicious! The New breakfast buffet is amazing and is worth coming in and trying. The seafood buffet every Friday is one of my favorite specials they have now I just had it last week. It Includes dessert too! Ill be coming back for more soon. Definitely what maggie valley needed

Dont know where all the negative reviews are coming from, I can only share my experience. Fast service, seated right away. Our waitress Rachael was checking on us every several minutes, without being annoying. Food arrived in about 20 minutes (hot dog, pork chops, fish, salads). Inside does need some rennovation and some fresh air or more powerful vents/ac, so we decided to move out on the patio. Every single item of the food that we ordered was great. Oh, and the pricing is very affordable. Great view, great fresh air outside. Im very pleased with the place.

Terrible service. Only seen our waitress twice the entire time we were there. She took our order then disappeared. We ate from the hot bar which was good except there was no dressings for the salads, and we were scraping food from the bottom of containers because they werent refilling them. Restaurant wasnt busy at all, yet we had to ask the hostess for refills on drinks and for salad dressings because our waitress decided to disappear then go sit down at tables with other diners chatting away.

Fantastic food! To be honest I was expecting a bunch of warmed or fried from frozen food and was pleasantly surprised! Got the chicken tenders because I wasnt really in the mood to spend money and try something that had the potential of being a waste. So I got the tenders thinking you have to work hard to mess up tenders. Turns out they were handbreaded in house and fantastic. Fries were standard fries, but the fried squash was pretty tasty! I look forward to trying this place again.

We had a last minute dinner here last night and was VERY PLEASED with our first experience! Will definitely be back again soon. We had a great experience from the moment we walked in. The host, Wendy was very polite and helped throughout our entire meal. Our server, Shannon, was amazing. The best part was the FREE dessert. The peach cobbler and banana pudding was to die for! Im craving it again right now :) Wonderful, family friendly place to eat when in town.

Do not waste your time eating here. For what is on the menu you can fix it at home. Special of the night was chicken and dumplings, minus any chicken and probably should have been called soup and cold at that.. Dinners came with a choice of dessert but not the chocolate chip cookie???? Go figure it is listed as a dessert but was not a choice...even though it is the cheapest dessert on the menu. If this place makes it a year it will be a miracle.

Waited almost 45 minutes to get our food. Our server was inattentive and we hardly saw her. Ordered a Reuben and the bread had too much butter and was barely toasted, very little meat and the fries werent fully cooked. We waited almost 10 minutes to get our check while our server was outside taking a smoke break. Poor service and quality of food. Will not be going back. Also they no longer serve breakfast.

Walked in and waited to be seated. Two waitresses were just talking. One was counting her money. Another finally came up and yelled how many you got and we said 2 and she cleaned Off a table and said there ya go. I walked back to get a menu. Counting money girl grabs menus and tells me I need to get breakfast menus. The rude waitress then yells I have your menus. And I tell her to stop being rude! We left!

For only $8.99 I received a drink with unlimited refills, a fairly large filet, hush puppies, and 2 sides. Definitely enough food to fill you up, however you also get a choice of a homemade dessert for no extra fee! The food was fantastic, the customer service is phenomenal, and the price is amazing! I can understand this place having long wait times on busy days, but we were lucky to come on a slow day.

They do not serve lunch until 12. However they accommodated my party at 11 oclock for one of the best lunches Ive ever had. Chopped beef steak smothered in gravy with baked sweet potato and pinto beans. With roll and butter and choice of dessert for 9 bucks you cant go wrong! We live in the area and will definitely return to this hidden treasure

I can speak for the pork chops (good) and the chicken tenders(great). Wife and I had a pleasant dinner last night. Side salad can was fresh and crispy, and the hash brown casserol was rated very good. Wifes Mac&cheese was some of the best weve experienced. Just good home cooking, pleasant atmosphere/staff, and reasonable expense!

We ate breakfast here recently. Servers were very friendly. Exceedingly long wait due to owner being the only person cooking in the kitchen but we werent in a hurry and the food, when it arrived, was really good. We would eat here again but hope that the owner hires additional kitchen help to reduce the wait time.
