I ordered two combination dinners; general Tao Orange Chicken and Beef With Broccoli. Both were to come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I also ordered House Special chow mein which comes with white rice. When the order arrived and I had tipped the delivery man, signed the receipt, said good-bye and closed the door, I discover the mistakes. They, the people at Golden Wok, decided to give us one SMALL order of beef with broccoli without the fried rice and NO egg roll. They put a small package of white rice in the bag. My husband really likes beef with broccoli so I felt bad for him. When I called to straighten out the mistake the woman was almost yelling at me. She told me I told them what I wanted. I tried to explain I ordered the order on line and she got even more mad. This is a very sad day for us because we REALLY like Chinese food. I will definitely go somewhere else and NEVER back to Golden Wok on 3647 Sunset Ave in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Food: *Typical Chinese menu BUT they also have Thai dishes [big PLUS]. *Dish are not too greasy or over condimented. [They will cook to your liking - spicy/not spicy etc] *Typically Chinese food leaves me in a regretful state, yet after every meal at Golden Wok I actually leave extremely satisfied. [no bloating, not asking myself why did i just eat this] Staff: *Very pleasant staff and very good memory of who their clients are. [makes you feel welcomed] Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for Chinese food in the area. I believe they close each night at 11pm [another plus for this area as everything else is closed by 9 or 10pm]

I tried to order food from there.. they are very unprofessional when talking to you. They Tell you to hurry up with your order very impatient and have the nerve to hang up when I was still talking trying to figure out how much it cost. And tell them my name. So I calles back and said they didnt need to know my name and will get my total when I get there... They will never get my business ever again and will never recommend anyone there. And guess what I am your navy Recruiter for this entire area so I will make sure they will get no military business

I work close by so I order here almost once a week. I have heard people say theyre impolite, but its just their culture. Im always greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. The food is some of the best Chinese in Rocky Mount and the prices are unbeatable. The lunch specials are a good size portion and very affordable. My favorite is the garlic shrimp and vegetables. Biggest shrimp and SOOOO good! The food is fresh, hot, and ready fast. Support this local family business and get a delicious meal in the process

We are locals for the area of Wedgewood and bring our business to the this part of town not only to support our neighborhood, but for the food and friendliness of the shop/restaurant owners. Golden Wok is a good place to stop in and grab a quick dinner with friends. They are always busy and My family and I have always been greeted with hello and warm wishes from the owner and his family. Typical menu, but nice when the owner and family remember you and your ordering habits.

Nasty!!! The chicken is not what it use to be. I brought my food back and they said "no refund your fault for ordering somthing you dont like". I told her the chicken tasted funny like why is it chewy and she just laughed and said "no honey the chicken is not like the chicken on chicken nuggets is the top of the chicken where the skin is so technically its still chicken". So I just left my food there and went home with no food and no money.

Just picked up a take out order ... the crab rangoons taste like fried in rancid oil ... missing a shrimp eggroll which I hope I didnt pay for ... chicken dish went straight to fridge cant risk being sick .. wont even let my friend feed the crab to my service dog ... cant risk her being sick ... this will be returned tomorrow dont have time today as I have to work

i had a terrible experience at this place first of all my food had hair in it and she refused to do anything about it! She kept saying it wasnt her when I clearly had moved my chicken off to the side the hair was right under neath the chicken! She kept denying it and wouldnt do anything about it. So rude! Dont go here!! Will never go back ever again!!!

I love the Roast Pork Fried Rice. Will always be back for more, However I ordered Spring Rolls and got Egg Rolls....nevertheless I enjoy. If I want to complain, I should not go out to eat elsewhere and cook at home myself. You cant please everyone. You guys are doing great!

I order take out from here every week. The food is great & the service is excellent. Ive never had my order messed up & the owner always remembers me, even my husband who is in the military & rarely home! I highly recommended them!

The prices on the menu when you map there location are alot cheaper than the prices they give. The owner says they dont know who put that menu online. So if they know its wrong why dont they correct it?

I ordered beef and broccoli but the meat that was in my food was so unknown specimen it tasted like beef flavored fat. It wasnt meat at all!
