My husband and I dined here celebrating our anniversary. The customer service was excellent--from the hostess to our waiter. We were greeted with smiles which was very inviting. Because I had mentioned when I made reservations that we were celebrating our anniversary, the restaurant had thought to lightly decorate our table and give a welcoming card that greeted us and congratulated our anniversary. The waiter was patient and knowledgeable of the menu, he checked on us regularly and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was absolutely impeccable. They took a picture of us toasting champagne and printed it complimentary as a memento of our dining experience. The dessert was delicious. Additionally, they took the time to provide us with a plate that was written in chocolate wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Everything was extremetly thoughtful on their part. The table next to us was vocal about the same pleasant experience they were having dining at The Capital Grille as well! We enjoyed the evening, and the quality customer service and the quality dishes will forever be a memorable one. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Love finding a restaurant where the chef, management, and wait staff "get it". This place is a foodies paradise. A friend joined 3 of us for dinner. Valet parking was a nice touch, given my 80-year old Mom was with us. Our friend started with a Manhattan (Woodfords bourbon with an ice cube of orange peels). Off the charts awesome!! Stealing the orange peel trick, btw. I started with the shrimp cocktail (bed of ice presentation) and then had the bar menu portion of the lamb chops. Perfectly prepared, seasoned, and presented. My husband had the bone-in Filet Mignon and truffle fries. They were seriously good!! Our friend enjoyed the seared tuna. For dessert, the creme brulee (sugar caramelized just before we got it, so it was warm, not pre-prepared and cold = done RIGHT) was shared, with espresso as our finish. Doug, our waiter, was attentive, friendly and professional. The sommelier approved my husbands wine selection (Orin Swifts D66 - EXCELLENT!). This is our new escape place in Raleigh. Thank you for the excellent service and gourmet food!!

The ambience was great the food was just ok . We had a reservation for my B-day and they place a card and some confetti on the table. We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu. The added Lobster Bisque which was fresh and tasty. For and extra $10 you could add shrimp to the filet. Three little shrimp were added to the plate, it was sad. We had to ask for the bearnaise that went with it and it was on the cool side. The caesar salad was dry with a hard core hidden in the middle of the pile. For a establishment that is touted on service...those types of things shouldnt happen. The Kona steak was tasty but the plating was very unimpressive and plain. The Sams potatoes and green beans for the table were a bit small for 3. Each of us got a small spoonful of potatoes and a few beans each. The desserts were good. Overall for $160+ (had one cocktail) was ok if you felt the food was better than it was. Weve tried it , we probably wont go back. Again...the environment and music was great...the service was great...the food was average.

I dined here two weeks ago with my husband. My waiter was great, knowledgable about the menu and wine options available. The table that we were originally taken to was in a room near the back of the restaurant. My husband and I asked to be seated near a window and the table assistant did a great job about being very quick about removing the table placements from another table to accommodate us. She was a very pleasant girl in addition to the waiter. The food was great, service was great, but I couldnt help but feel singled out. In the area that I was sitting in, there were only persons of color. All of the waiters assigned to the area, were people of color, along with the table assistant...In the back of the restaurant. Now I am unsure if this was by chance but I couldnt help but feel like the restaurant didnt want us to be the image of what people see when they walk in.

We went last night for my husbands birthday and were wowed once again!! Our server, Doug, went above and beyond as always. He suggested a fantastic grapefruit cocktail to start and was extremely aware of our needs all night, stopping by often to pour wine and check that we were happy with our experience. The food was fantastic, every dish was executed perfectly. Doug also sent us home with a ramekin of bearnaise sauce after I told him we planned on making steak and eggs in the morning. Talk about anticipating our needs!! The restaurant also sent us a complimentary birthday sparkling wine toast and a dessert plate of probably the best cheesecake Ive ever tasted (light and airy with a brûléed top) and a decadent and smooth chocolate espresso cake. This restaurant is incredible and we will be back for every special occasion!

Phenomenal food, great service and excellent desserts from a true fine dining experience. I love going to Capital Grille, primarily at lunch or happy hour as I work in the building above the restaurant. They have valet parking, $20 lunch specials and great cocktails. My favorite lunch special is the sirloin sliders paired with a salad and fries. The sliders have a great tangy flavor. My favorite cocktail is the Stoli Doli, which is in-house infused vodka with pineapple. The picture I included is of the Gruet Rose Brut, which is also a nice after work treat. The cheesecake dessert is delicious! You cant go wrong with any of the food choices, just bring your wallet because this is not a cheap treat!

Everyone knows the food is phenomenal, but the staff really makes the experience. This past Sunday, which happened to be my first mothers day was truly elevated when the staff went above and beyond to correct a simple mistake. Both my mother and I truly appreciated the effort and enjoyed ourselves fully. This location is just as amazing as all of the other locations in the chain. Cant wait to celebrate all holidays, birthdays and "just because I deserve some lobster macaroni and cheese" days at this restaurant!

So how can the Angus Barn even compare. Its a solid 2. Sullivans, ill go 6. This place turns it all the way to Eleven. The porcini rubbed steak was the best steak i have ever had. Tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. A clean cut too. Trimmed to a T!. No unnecessary fat to contend with at all. Just perfect. And the service is almost too excessive. They really got their whole game in sync over there. Sautéed mushrooms were the best i ever had too. I cant get that steak off my mind.

We have eaten at the Capital Grille recently twice. First visit was in the dining room and everything was fabulous - second visit in the bar and the service was great, however, I ordered their signature burger and if you dont like heavy smoke in the your food would not recommend that burger as smoked bacon is mixed into the beef. Just got an email about an expanded offering of burgers for a featured time period, hopefully they will keep some on their bar menu.
