Yes, the decor is modern and elegant, and the food is very good; however, Vivace does not live up to its hype. Five friends and I were seated at a corner booth so that we were all able to face each other. My first thought was that we would be able to carry on conversation. I was wrong. The noise level in the restaurant, probably due to the fact that people are packed in like sardines (it is nearly impossible to make your way through the dining room to the rest room), was so high that I had to lean in to hear the person next to me. The light was also very dim in the corner; we had to use our cell phones to read the menu. Service? A 20% gratuity is added for parties of six or more. Apparently, that is reason to spend a disproportionate amount of time at other tables while the party of six or more waits for over five minutes to order another drink--during the meal. By the time my friend and I received our second drink, ten minutes had passed. The server was generally inattentive. When I went to the ladies room, a waitress was walking out with one of the stall doors in her hand. I guess those sorts of things happen, but, in this case, a stall door falling off its hinges, along with some of the wall, just added to my disappointing experience. If you are looking for a swanky atmosphere filled with other people who are all about feeling swanky, Vivace is for you. Just know that good service, conversation, and outstanding cuisine will be missing.

I wont spend time writing a review, Ill just copy & paste the email I sent to the GM! THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME!!! Good morning! I hope that you have had an amazing week. My wife & I just wanted to send you an email and tell you how wonderful of a time we had at Vivace on this past Monday Evening. Everything was AWESOME! Kevin, our server, did an amazing job at making sure we were taken great care of. The food...simply amazing! My wife loved her four cheese ravioli. Her only complaint was that she wished she had more. Thats just how good it was! My ribeye... (even with the hair found at the end) I must say that it was second to none! It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I am not a fan of cauliflower, but the puree was simply awesome! We both were never really fans of brussels sprouts, but Vivaces made us believers. The calamari was cooked perfectly. Last but not least...the Tiramisu!!!!!! My wife loves tiramisu when its done right, and you guys DID IT RIGHT!! Im not a fan of it, but yours...Id come back and order it! Thank you guys so much for helping us to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely be making an appearance if time permits. We wish you all much continued success in the restaurant business and look forward to visiting again and telling all our friends about your restaurant. Thanks again and have a great weekend! GO VIVACE!!!!!

If you love disappointment then this is the place to be at, even olive garden outshines this place. The decor is nice Ill give it that but the whole operation is presented as a millennial student going to his first culinary class. While looking at the menu you can immediately notice the outrageous prices for the most simplest of Italian dishes. If you look towards the kitchen you can see the chefs are pretty much people you would fine working at a bar, wearing snap backs and supporting beards. The next thing youll notice is that they use heat lamps to keep the food hot just like a microwave since the chefs have no sense of time and cant put out a big ticket all together. I ordered the pappadelle and the pasta was not even cooked all the way and the lack of seasoning in the sauce made this dish bland like a McDonalds cheeseburger. Half of the food on my plate was cold while the other half was scorching hot. I do not recommend this place to anyone trying to find a nice cuisine.

Every once in a while, you have one of those meals that youll always remember. I went to Vivace for the first time on Monday night and the food was truely unforgettable. We started the meal with the bruschetta and spinach gnocchi appetizers. Do not leave Vivace without trying the spinach gnocchi - tender gnocchi mixed with a garlic, tomato cream sauce -- heavenly! My party of 4 all ordered different menu items: four cheese ravioli, spaghetti bolognese, veal, and scallop risotto. All of their pasta is homemade and delectable - paired with the right glass of wine, and the meal is perfection. The menu is a pricey (as expected), but worth it for a special occasion or nice dinner out. And the outdoor seating on the patio is ideal during the warmer months!

There are not many places like this in Raleigh. Its definitely an upscale place. Its an authentic Italian with a modern spin. The menu changes seasonally to bring new flavors and new dishes. Ossobuco is one of my favorites. Positive note for the mussels Josephine and meat and cheeses board. Another season speciality olive oil dessert amazing!. As a regular customer for many years I must give a positive note to the staff. Garrett knows how to be a bartender. The only negative note I can remember off, its loud in the restaurant its difficult to have a conversation with someone in the restaurant tables sometimes I had to come outside to be able to have a conversation

I went on line and viewed their Raleigh menu. However, when I got to the restaurant, the menu they hand out, is not exactly like what is on line, for their Raleigh location. The food was really good and the dessert was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was very clean, the hostess and server were extremly nice. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is the fact that their menu on line does not match their menu in house. But, great place! Really enjoyed it!

vivace has the best patio in raleigh. if it is nice out my first thought is, oh i want to sit at vivace and have a strawberry mojito! it has a fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. the cocktails are all amazing, many using their housemade cellos. for dinner the bolognese is the best i have ever had. the staff is sharp and very attentive. it is a great place to go out!

Vivace is always a place we head to when we are looking for that someplace special to celebrate an occasion. Elegant feel inside lends itself well to the robust menu. Their paninis are wonderful for lunch! And being a fish lover Ive enjoyed their roasted salmon and swordfish and have never been disappointed.

Not busy and they would not wait on us. The employees were having a gossip party. We seated ourselves The decor is nice. And the many items on the menu. And at moderate pries. We were on a time limit. just decided to leave. We were hungry. And the only customers. They lost 9 customers.

Phenomenal Italian restaurant. The service was fascistic. The fig/prosciutto pizza was absolutely amazing. We also tried the meatballs and gnocchi. Both were great. The peanut butter bombe was delicious but rich- like a giant Reeses peanut butter egg! Wonderful dining experience.
