Literally fantastic in every possible way. I havent had such an amazing eatery experience in a while. Service was fast, friendly, attentive, and *personable* without being overboard. Food came out almost immediately. Holy smokes! We ordered, I went briefly to the restroom... and AS SOON AS I sat back down, the food was coming out! Can have been no more than 4 to 5 minutes. We were the first in for lunch, but still... Wow. It was DELICIOUS, too. I had the Thai basil shrimp, requesting it barely spicy. (Pictured.) Shrimp and all veggies were juicy and perfectly cooked. My guy had the house fried rice, which had a very rich, deep, delectable flavor for it to be "simply" rice. Both our server/hostess and another worker from the kitchen were genuinely interested to see that our food was acceptable to us - no precursory checking in here. When we expressed our delight, they seemed humbled and were very genuinely appreciative. Everything was clean - even the bathroom was SPOTLESS. Loved the decor inside, too - beautiful tile accents along the middle of the wall. It smelled great, too. (The bathroom, not the wall.) And Im a person who will wait to the point of discomfort just to avoid using any public bathroom. Ugh, I hate it. But this one was surprisingly... comfortable and homey. If you dont have the same view of public bathrooms, you wont understand. All in all, a FANTASTIC experience. We never wouldve come here if wed just driven by, as the shopping center and area leaves a bit to be desired. That would have been a huge mistake. Luckily we searched for healthy restaurant options near the area we were in and saw the exceptional reviews beforehand. Well deserved! This will DEFINITELY be a regular spot when were in this area. Last thing: Theres a review in the review summary for this place that says the food is overpriced, and the rice was "dry." I consider my steamed rice to be perfect, exactly the same as it always is at restaurants like this. It didnt have any extra moisture at all, so if youre unfamiliar with Thai steamed rice, you *may* think that its dry. Actually, there is no extra moisture and its more chewy/spongy/dry because its designed to compliment the dishes, which are usually sauced. My guys fried rice was moist and was also the perfect texture. On pricing, his dish was $9.95; mine was $12.95. For the quality of this food, that is perhaps about $2 lower than what I personally am used to for a shrimp/seafood Thai dish in Raleigh. Overall, truly a great establishment with great people -- at least on my initial visit here. 10 stars. UPDATE 5/9/17: Just ordered Thai basil shrimp from Thai House last week because I thought Id just really like this dish wherever I ordered it. Hmph. Thai Houses was completely substandard in comparison.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant!!! First of all, I NEVER bother writing a review on a restaurant unless it is bad and want everyone to know that they shouldnt go there... But we had been bouncing around to all the other Chinese places in Raleigh trying to find one that wasnt beyond disappointing and THIS IS OUR NEW FAVORITE CHINESE PLACE!!! The food is wonderful. Perfect texture and flavor. The staff is so nice. We always order from their take-out menu. If you have been looking for a great Chinese restaurant, you should seriously give them a chance. I wrote this review because I love the food so much that I dont want it to close just because no one knows how great they are.

I travel all over the U.S. for my business and after todays delivery I searched Google for a highly rated Chinese food place (Chinese food is my favorite) and found this wonderful place!! My egg drop soup was delicious and my jumbo shrimp, chicken, beef and vegetables in a brown sauce is wonderful (I ordered mine spicy) ....such a breath of fresh air in comparison to the normal sub par food that passes for Chinese food. The staff is super friendly, the décor is nice and CLEAN. The staff is attentive and the food portions are just right. The fried rice tastes like your at a Teppanyaki place too! If I could rate this place 6 stars I would!

Great food--but, I became painfully aware of the soft piano music. It sounded familiar, like I had heard it before. Then I realized it--it was like waking up from a dream after falling asleep during a movie now looping the music of the DVD menu. The music is on a loop. Every 3 minutes or so, the same thematic piano line played on. After eating and leaving, I must have heard it at least 15 times-- and now more as it was etched in my mind on repeat for the drive home. Maybe next time Ill do take out. The Szechuan Beef was great!

Im not sure how anyone wouldnt like this place. We were headed out of Raleigh late one night and found this place on Google with some nice reviews. Didnt want a big meal, so we just ordered rice and noodles. Get the house lo mein! Amazing - chicken, beef, and shrimp. And the portions are huge! The seating is limited, as theres maybe 10 tables in a small area, but still provides a nice atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

I typically dont use internet acronym slang, but O.M.G that was excellent Asian. The restaurant is very unassuming, in a strip mall. But when you walk in you notice right away the cleanliness and quaint ambience. An older lady was snapping fresh green beans behind the counter, proving that everone plays a role in preparation of fresh food. The Thai Basil Chicken was top notch, and Im a bit of an Asian food connoisseur.

We ordered takeout here for the first time and had the calamari, orange chicken, shrimp pad thai, and fried rice. The calamari was pretty good but would have been better fresh. It wasnt crispy. Same thing with the orange chicken, it wasnt crispy. Shrimp pad thai had good flavor but could have used a few more shrimp. The egg rolls were small and lacked flavor. I would try this place again but next time dine in.

Red Pepper just opened and it has become my favorite Chinese/Thai place in East Raleigh. Its the kind of place that, were you to move to a new city or neighborhood, youd go to the local Chinese place and think, "It just isnt the same as Red Pepper." The staff gave great service and were quick too, and the Pad Thai was spot on. Even if you dont live in East Raleigh it is worth making the trip over here.

We found this restaurant while looking for someplace to eat on the way to the grocery store. We too have missed Fortune Palace when it closed off of Capital Boulevard. Very happy to find this restaurant and it was very good. I had the general chen chicken my other half had a Malaysian dish both were excellent. This will be our go-to place for Asian Cuisine.

Not bad Chinese food. We tried the generals chicken and the orange chicken. My orange chicken had some grisle in it but I loved that it had real orange bits in it. We ordered take out and did not go in but it doesnt feel like this restaurant belongs in that shopping center. The area was a bit shady and we saw a guy trying to sell drugs in the parking lot.

Simply the best Asian-take out style food. Nice and friendly staff along with quick service. I have been here numerous times and everything is delicious everytime. You can order the same dish over and over again with the same results. Highly recommend the salty porkchop, pad Thai, crispy egg plant, pad see ew, chicken red curry and the calamari.
