This restaurant was a recommendation from a hotel clerk. Normally, I am skeptical when asking about local businesses in towns I visit, but THIS one, was on-the-money and Then Some! The only drawback was the wait time... On One Hand, that could be a bad sign, that shows the service staff is slow. On the Other Hand: I looked at it as a testament to the popularity of this establishment (& I soon found out WHY!) Menu prices were quite competitive and based on my order, the food portions were equal to that. I was there around noon, so I was torn between ordering breakfast OR, lunch items. I opted for an Omlette called "The BEAST", which included Ham, Sausage, Beef, all diced up, covered in Cheddar Cheese. Before, I ordered "The BEAST", I ordered an appetizer, based on the name alone. It was called the "Almond NutMuff". (Insert Joke Here.) Both items exceeded my expectations! The Almond NUTMUFF, was a toasted English Muffin with brown sugar & cinnamon with melted butter and topped with almond slivers and a generous side of sour cream. The BEAST sides I opted for was fresh fruit and an English Muffin split in half. I expected only ONE type of fruit. INSTEAD, I got FOUR! (about 9-11 grapes, a slice of honeydew melon, an orange slice & a slice of pineapple.) The service staff was great as well. My server ("Juanita"), was friendly, fast & courteous! First Impressions ARE Lasting Ones and I am DEFINITELY making this a regular stop, whenever I travel to Raleigh and I would recommend this to anyone as well!

Fantastic. Seriously... Marvelous food, lovely people! Our server Juanita was a joy; competent, quick, laid back, and charming. She clearly knew her stuff, and added a lot to our dining experience! The food, though... Oh! The food! I had the Chesapeake Benedict, with home fries. The eggs were perfectly poached, the Hollandaise was silky heaven, and the crab cakes! No extra filler, whatsoever! Crab, with peppers and seasoning...Just as crab cakes should be! Im as full as can be, and still daydreaming about the absolute pleasure this meal was!

On weekends, expect to wait in line for breakfast/brunch. The seating area is small (not "cozy") and the decor is plain. The food is great, but dont expect to stick to your diet when eating here. The service is good, but one does get the feeling theyre trying to rush you out the door. The prices are in line with other decent breakfast places, but dont expect something like Waffle House or Dennys prices.

This was our first time at Brigs and there was a little mix-up with the seating, but they took care of it and seated us right away. Our waitress was great - she was prompt and we had our food and coffee quickly. My husband ordered a scramble and I had the Malibu omelet. Both were fantastic! Prices were very reasonable - we hope to come back soon!

Great selection with ever changing, unique specials. The place is often busy, so you might have to wait. The best waffles Ive ever had. They come out hot and with a good flavor. Food is served very quickly and staff is friendly and attentive. Carafe of good coffee is left at the table for quick and easy hot refills.

Great experience today! I was seated and greeted promptly. Although my waitress was busy, another waitress in the area took my beverage order and sent it out with my waitress (great teamwork). My order arrived hot, fresh, and delicious! I was able to get in and out (during a very busy time) in 30 minutes.

Briggs always serves a great meal but breakfasts are their specialty. The atmosphere is very pleasant and though a small family restaurant, it is separate into two rooms so quieter seating can usually be accomplished if that is your preference on full days.

I stop here several times when my friend from Ohio is in town during the winter months. Love that I can get breakfast at 10 am or 1 pm. Their staff is always very friendly and their food is always good! If you havent stopped by for a meal yet, do so!

The food tastes really good but the wait is atrocious. Also I got some sub-par frozen buns for my burgers a couple of times and that really killed it. It happened only twice, every other times I had a great experience (if I do not consider the wait.)

Believe me when i tell you. The food here is off the chain . the wait time can be a bit long to get inside but it is worth every penny...and also very inexpensive. i have never been a loyal customer to any food chain but brigs earned my loyalty .

The service from the waiter was good. The food however... I ordered the Brigs Benedict. The first egg was cooked properly. As for the second one, before I cut into it, the egg white was clear. I dont think Ill return any time soon.

Ive been coming to Brigs for years now and have always loved it, but today nobody even acknowledged us for over 10 minutes. No drinks, no nothing so we just left. I can spend $30 somewhere else for breakfast. Very disappointing!!

This place is always good for a delicious meal... Breakfast, lunch OR dinner. Wish it was bigger.... there is always a bit of a wait. Wait staff is always friendly, the place is very clean and the prices are just right.

Visited for the first time today. I had what I would rank in my top 5, corned beef hash and a top 5 waffle. The home fries were very solid too. We had a short wait, excellent service, and reasonable prices.

Great breakfast food, especially the items on the Weekday Breakfast Specials. The $5.99 price is wonderful! Once you go away from the specials though, the prices seem to jump high.

Always a favorite brunch place when I return to NC. Food and service are great, but make sure you get thede before the church crowd on Sunday or you might be waiting a while.

Brigs pancakes are the best! Never get disappointed here. The scrambled eggs are not good every time though... All in all, its my favourite breakfast place here in Raleigh!

You will wait too long for food that is just okay and service that is not much better. Too small of a place for the amount of people that come there for breakfast.

This place is amazing, there is nothing else to say. If going on Sunday, get there before the church crowd or bring a folding chair for the wait!
