I have never been treated this way at any restaurant, it was not the employee that answers the phone, but the Manager on duty. This was Saturday, November, 19, 2016. My fiancé and I ordered hibachi plates, mine was steak and chicken. His was steak, chicken, and shrimp. THERE WAS NO SHRIMP. So, after making it home (10 miles away) he called to tell them what happened. The cashier proceeds to do a credit so we would not have to drive back. This was fine with us. (probably $3-$4 credit for a handful of shrimp). The manager gets on the phone to tell us about a policy, that he needs a PICTURE MESSAGE of the food to make sure it hasn’t been eaten yet, because he would usually make the customer bring the food back to receive credit. I was LIVID! I told him I would drive back, show him our food (that had not been eaten), have 3 different employees inspect our 2 plates to verify it wasn’t touched. After this inspection, I requested my food just be made again, the right way because after having 3 different noses over my food, I was not about to eat that food. After all this I finally got the right food and NEVER MET THE MANAGER I SPOKE WITH OVER THE PHONE. No introduction or anything. I will never in my life eat at this place again. We choose this place because the food is GREAT! But the under qualified manager with no customer service skills needs to be replaced!!! I have not yet seen this POLICY of food inspection to make sure you haven’t eaten the food yet before any refund or credit. My question is what if I had started to eat my food??? Am I not entitled to a refund or credit anymore after paying for food that came out wrong? I need answers please.

Wanted to get Tokyo grill when I got it home and began to eat it there was a long hair in my food. Me being a manager I get that sometimes things happen. When I called to talk to the manager he yells to his crew member "this lady on the phone say she got a blonde hair and non of us have blonde hair" . That was a very poor way to handle a costumer. So my husband and I drove 30 minutes from highpoint to get this straightened out. He didnt evem want to refund us our money and still didnt give us our full refund and we bought both plates back. As a manager of a different restaurant chain I understand that the success of the business is based on the costumer employee relationship that we build. I wont be back to have to spend two hours and still not get my refund or an apology really is awful. As a manager he should be ashamed because I would have made this right you being an owner should be concerned on how things are handled between your team and the costumers!

I have been a regular at tokoyo grill for about two years now and it wasnt until recently that my experiences with them has changed. The past two experiences have been subpar when ordering carry out. Both times I was practically rushed off the phone, nor was my order repeated back for accuracy. The most recent time. I was making a larger order and once quoted the price I proceeded to ask if all three of my orders had been accounted for but heard the phone being slammed down on the counter. Once I arrive to the location the cashier laughed and stated "we didnt know if you were still coming in because we didnt know if your order was complete." I honestly hate to give up tokoyo grill because I am love the teriyaki ck however I will not be returning.

Today was my first time eating here. The guy at the front, Brian (sp.?), immediately greeted me when I walked through the door. He wiped off the table. He took his time to explain to me where the condiments were. It is because of his personality that I will be back. Acknowledging the customer and making them feel welcomed is what its all about. My only minor negative comment is that my spring roll was left off of my plate initially, but the issue was resolved immediately. The gentleman apologized also. Recap_ Greeting the customer, going the extra mile and demonstrating professionalism wil make me return. The food was good too!

Great food but customer service is inconsistent due to a revolving door of employees working the front counter here. If you can look past possible customer service irregularities the food is an excellent value. I have been food poisoned by the white sauce which has mayonnaise in it so make sure to check its temperature before self serving it onto your food when dining in. If you buy it to go this is a non issue since it comes directly from the refrigerator to your bag on a pick up order.

The food is good and fast. I ordered hibachi chicken and steak. I feel like there should be more zucchini but thats not an issue. The staff was okay. Not super friendly but not horrible or rude. Its a nice clean place to eat. Mostly natural light with accent lighting. Gives it a real chill vibe. Definitely worth stopping by if youre nearby getting title work done at the license agency next door.

I hate to give this place such a bad review being that Ive been going here since grade school. But the food has gone down since then. Ill say Ive been eating here for 6,7 years and lately the chicken seems different the rice doesnt taste the same. The white sauce tastes generic. Its just going down . I love the staff but the food is becoming terrible ! Please bring the old Tokyo grill back☺️

This place is the bomb. The guys are awesome and they cook food, so who cares that you can see their tattoos. Tattoos dont define a person and their ability to work hard. The food is so well cooked and you get a lot for the small price you pay. I bring my kids all the time and they love the staff. Very enjoyable friendly environment for anyone to be and eat a meal. ..

Douglas this resteraunt didnt close down and definelty wasnt because of rats they were actually moving to a new location and had problems with that so then moved back to the w market st location for a little while until the new store is back up and running. The food is awesome and fresh!! So if you want good quality food please go there.

The cashier was so rude! First time there and will never be back. Not sure what his problem was he answered my questions using profanity and found it funny to joke about my name and used some very inappropriate language with me when I ordered my food. Will never be back and will make sure to let all my friends know to never go there

i been with my family in this restaurant few days because my friend told me they re-open,but the short guy on fron is kind rude,i think is the manager but is not doing his job, but the food is til ok,my kids dont want come back becuse thew think is a not safe place all the guys work ther show tattoos and i dont think looks good

Today my boyfriend and I placed an order. When we got there they had no record of our order and gave several excuses as to why that "may have" taken place. Our order was rushed and wasnt done correctly. Because of that we had to wait for Ben longer for our food! Completely unacceptable and we will no longer eat here.
