The best little secret of Elizabeth City....if you want fresh delicious sushi go to Toyama! They have a huge variety of sushi and cooked food as well! Very friendly staff with a great atmosphere! Great drive from Tidewater and well worth the trip! Kristie E.

Lived here for 19 years, and Toyama is and always will be my favorite Sushi Restaurant. The chefs are fantastic at what they do and the rolls are always delicious. Would always recommend to someone from out of town for a great dining experience.

Lots of sushi options for vegans (as compared to other restaurants in town) and their tofu udon is delicious. Their smoked salmon would be better if it were in thinner slices. The chunks we got were from near the blood line and were very chewy.

Good sushi for Elizabeth City. Service is okay, but wait times are usually relatively short. Bento boxes and hibachi meals are pretty good as well. Id recommend this place for lunch over dinner as the lunchtime specials are more fairly priced.

The sushi here was a little pricy, and that would be okay, but the fish didnt taste as fresh as some other sushi places I have been. The atmosphere is great, and overall, it is a nice little spot in EC.

All in all, one of the best sushi restarants that I know of. Do not expect anything out of the normal sushi menu but they do it very well, consistently.
