My Wife and I went to the HOP-POH, and could not believe how people eat there. The plates were covered in grime and grease, and the chicken smelled like it had gone bad, the greens inside of the egg-roll were brown and every piece of meat felt slimy and smelled rancid. When I brought this to the hostesss attention, she proceeded to open up the chicken finger with her bare hands and eat it. We have contacted the Board of Health, since weve both got sick from just a bite. DO NOT GO HERE!! YOU WILL GET SICK!!!

I disagree with the other review that says this place is horrible and Xiang Shan down by Redners is better. Its the other way around, in my opinion. Xiang Shan is so bland, its like eating water. Hop Poh is no walk in the park, but its better than Xiang Shan. I will say, though, that Hamburg needs better Chinese food than "either" of these two places.

I never do reviews but this place was so awful that I want to make sure nobody has to experience it. Waited 30 minutes for our food. My one crab ragoon didnt have any filling, my rice tasted terrible, and I almost choked on a piece of plastic that was IN MY RICE!

Food is usually awesome. That being said. They are very rude. But to my knowledge they have never messed up my order. When I call in, me: "I would like 1 platter of general tsos chicken." Them:"ok" HANGUP. Never ask for a name or anything. Never a mistake.

Just at there tonight, actually! (Not the first time, however.) Good take-out and good food. Its not going to be the best Chinese youve ever had, but its certainly not bad! My wife and I enjoy some Hop Poh every once in a while and we are please!

I love hop poh! Some of the best Chinese Ive ever had. Very authentic, I have a personal relationship with some of the workers. They are very nice and I dont know why everyone is going on about how unfriendly they are!

Service sucked, very dirt inside. Waited 45 minutes for sweet and sour chicken and two egg rolls.not friendly at all and Im pretty sure no one washes there hands

The food is pretty decent. The service is hit or miss. But nothing Ive experienced would keep me from coming back.
