Im not sure if any of these previous reviews actually played many of the arcade games. Quite a few are in bad shape. TMNT is not there even though the site says it is. Xmen controls are messed up, do not try to play Dazzler because you cannot move down. The joysticks for all the fighting games are in bad shape. At least the pinball machines are maintained well. It was hard to stay interested in the games because so many did not work correctly. I did have fun playing our own card games at the tables they have available for use. I understand this is a "game bar" and people are also there to drink, but I feel Abari should put more effort into the upkeep or fixing of their games. The only game there that seemed to be taken care of is the 10 player, I think it was called Killer Queen or something, game. The game is fun once you learn how to play, but if you happen to be with people who dont, good luck. Also, drinks prices are great if you love beer. On Friday it was something like $1.50 drafts and $1 can PBR, according to my drink friends. But a small cup of ice with a little bit of ginger ale: $2. Dont try to figure out which bathroom is for you, theyre both unisex even though there are different signs on them. Overall the people there were friendly enough and I had some fun (probably wont return), so 2 stars. The whole place has a white hipster vibe

Oh Abari, where to begin? 1.You can drink beer, Soda, or easy mixed drinks while mingling in (a shock a bar scene) for us adults with old 90s Alt rock playing (sometimes 80s). 2. Quite a bit of Arcade games that they will switch out during the months here and there during the months if said ones arent getting play time or if they break. 3. Very affordable prices for the drinks which is great. 4. Want to still play video games but not the arcade ones. Big comfie couches with a ton of old Console systems, BTW do you guys actually have a working VCR for all those old VHS tapes? 5. If you request something say maybe a possible Arcade game on Facebook, the owner will reply and not like two months later but within a a week or less (that is prime management ability there a major plus). 6. Almost all games are a .25. (Really like I just went back to my youth 30+ years ago for that.) less than three or four are .50 ()newer pinball machines and Killer queen) 7. Your just down the road from some other pubs/bar/and Restaurants on Noda. I really cant find anything bad with this place and I usually find everything wrong with some place (I like to nit pick supposed "perfect" places. But Ill throw this in, gravel parking lots can be a bit annoying (there I found something, even though its minor)

Fyi bring 1dollar per person 1 time fee gets lifetime memberahip cover charge bring cash for games or buy 5$ increments from bar with debit credit crad. Wow amazing place very friendly knowledgeable about drinks games and history of place. FYI no food service but you can bring your own food from outside or delivery we used foodie go and got delivered right to door table space to eat and all video games are a quarter pinball 50 cents!!! Also have console versions of nes snes and n64 with games and you can bring your own from home too as well. Will be going back again and again went on Saturday afternoon busy but didnt have to wait to get on machine. Loose a quarter ask bartender for help and theyll pay u back. Also little secret lots of games I played were preloaded with credits so check start on every machine and might get free play I played about 6 games no quarters needed.

Edit: Hey everyone, you want know how this can be easily resolved? Go try Palmer street game bar and tap room if you want to see updated consoles with working joystick and buttons. Nicer building, better atmosphere, and real tables to sit at with comfortable seats. Original Review: Your games are eating my quarters. Fix that nonsense. Look, I understand that machines jam, but when I lose $1.25 in an hour from five machines, its an issue... Ive played at other arcades and have never had to worry about whether or not my quarter will get taken. Beyond that, it seems your games need some more TLC. Nothing is more frustrating than putting a quarter in to find that the joystick doesnt work completely, or that the light gun is odd. Shuta Wu below has a great synopsis of your games below.

Its an okay bar. Theres $1.50 PBR on tap, and all old arcade games starting at $.25. it would be better if theyd upgrade in size. It is SO packed during peak times that you cant even play the games without being on top of each other. The music they play is okay, but nothing exciting. Cons: Theres no outdoor area, its stuffy, bathrooms are nasty, fairly dirty, and tightly packed Pros: cheap PBR (if you like PBR), cool retro games, $.25 per game, cool date place if you go during non peak times. Overall, I wouldnt go out of my way for this bar. Its just not a great environment. Its okay.

They say theyve got tons of games at a good price and beer at an even better one, and they definitely dont lie. Stepping into Abari is like falling back into the late 1980s. All the arcade games only cost a quarter or two to play, and the atmosphere is super friendly. Theres plenty of regular pinball or Killer Queen players who are super excited to introduce newcomers to the fun of the games! Abari is the only bar that Ill go to alone, because every time I go, I meet another cool and unique person. Abari reminds you why you used to go to the arcade every day after school.

Cool regulars, familiar staff, inspired owners. Theyre constantly on the search for new machines and ideas. Leagues for pinball and a fresh new game called killer queen are budding up. The pinball collection is beggining to look very appealing, with addams family, twilight zone, and a couple of other local favorites looking like they are in the best condition you will ever see. Not an easy task. Drink prices are not overdone and feels like a regular bar. The staff is seasoned and treat you only with respect. Great addition to a sometimes 2 dimensional neighborhood. Love

Took my 8 year old on a Saturday at noon. Spent $10 on an hour of fun. This place is great. My kid and I cant wait to go back! By the way, the $1 lifetime membership is so they are in compliance with local ordinance as a private club. If that is an issue for you, complain to your local government representatives, dont blame Abari. On another note, it looks like any bad reviews here were driven by the service received. Hopefully management takes that feedback to heart as Id hate to see this joint mismanaged into the ground within a year or so.

The place feels grungy and dirty. The building itself is not lit up and really easy to miss. Drinks are served in plastic cups and they have no menu for anything but draft beer. Staff is hard to understand I dont know if it was loud or accents or what. Games require quarters obviously (thats just a lot of money) the place got ridiculously crowded and when my designated driver (a minor) showed up and nearly walked in, the bouncer was outside drinking and nearly missed her. I came out before it could be a problem, but thats ridiculous.
