We have been to Travinia on several occasions and was always very pleased with the food and service. This past Saturday (April 29, 2017) we met our brother and his wife for dinner at 5:00 PM. My brother is suffering from shortness of breath and uses oxygen. He parked about a block and a half away from the front entrance, thinking he could make it to the front door on his one. About 3/4 of the way he had to stop in the middle of an intersection because he could not breath normally. At this time the manager of Travinia and two of his staff met us with a rolling office chair and after sitting him in the chair, helped him get to the table. After dinner they also helped roll him and helped him in to the car. They were very sincere and concerned for his well being. This type of service is above and beyond what one can expect from any restaurant. We truly appreciate all of their efforts and will return often. Cliff and Cathy Salkeld

Horrible service/food in a great location. hostess was nowhere to be seen... At least until we realized the hostess was the person cleaning tables. After being seated we waited 15 minutes before being acknowledged. The waitress was not familiar with the menu and we waited yet another obscene amount of time to get cold calamari that seemed to be left over from a previous day. Complete disappointment. To add to the wait... It took 30 minutes to get basic spaghetti and when arrived the food was cold. Overall a horrible experience, but at least theres better restaurants to visit in this great location.

Stopped in for lunch since we always enjoyed ourselves at the Travina in Morrisville. Not crowded at all but service was slow enough to make the visit disappointing. Once finally ordered the wait for our drinks was long, so long my partner finally went inside to check at the bar. One drink was sitting and waiting, eventually they brought the other. Never offered any water or an explanation during the long delay. However our food was good, but for our server,... well bless her heart. As for a return, there are many other places.

Great food and always some sort of drink specials going on. Dine in or dine out depending on the weather you can have a nice intimate dinner with a loved one or cackle your ass off at one of the larger tables inside our out. And theres even a private dining room that I think holds around 30. Pricing isnt cheap but also not crazy. Its reasonably priced for the quality of food youll be receiving. And Ive never had a server yet who wasnt awesome. Its a great place to dine before or after a movie which is just next door.

I just had lunch here. The meatballs were rancid. The smell was horrible and it was obvious that there was something wrong with the dish. The waitress, who was not very attentive, did apologize and took them away, and took them off the bill. However, she charged us tax on the amount and THEN removed to dish off the bill. Furthermore, the manager didnt come to apologize, or to see if I was all right. I will not be going there again.

Its so so. Not great by any means. Prices are high for what they are serving. I ate here over a year ago and got served raw chicken, they took it back and microwaved it!! I sent it back again and settled for a salad since it less likely for them to mess that up. I also ate here last week thinking things have changed. It hadnt. I think personally they should fire the whole kitchen staff and start over.

Had dinner there and overall food was really great. We ordered the zucchini app and Italian nachos which were both amazing. The bread comes with oil and ground pepper.. I prefer what Carrabas does with their seasoning. Ordered the chicken with goat cheese, mac n cheese and beet salad and all were really good. Would come here again good location and good decor.

Took 2.5 hours for a party of 4 on a week night around 7. When we finally got our order it was cold and incomplete. One member of our party ordered the swordfish and received less than a 4 once piece. Really? The restaurant was beautiful, clean and smelled amazing but the service was terrible. Will someone PLEASE find this place some new management!

A real find. Outstanding food with a unique menu that is all cooked from scratch and served fast! I wanted something with out bread or carbs and the offered a veggie substitution with Brussels sprouts that was delicious for my chicken dish. Robbie was my waiter and did a excellent job. Prices about about $15 to $26 but worth it.

I dont think I can emphasize how terrible this restaurant is. Poorly prepared food that would not be acceptable if they were charging half the price, inattentive service, and some of the longest wait time between courses Ive ever experienced (especially considering we were one of three tables in the entire restaurant).

Food is always great here as are the cocktails. A beautiful restaurant and in a great location-next to the theatre and in Biltmore park. The waiter was very sweet and polite, but seemed very nervous and insecure (young guy with dark curly hair in a ponytail). Maybe hes new? Otherwise, great experience :)

We had the barbeque pizza and the pine nut encrusted salmon as entrees. Both were phenomenal. Our server was Natasha and her service was impeccable. Modern italian restaurant with limited drink glasses. Accomates well for large parties and friendly staff. Sea scallops appetizer was very on point and fishy. Unfortunately there was a lack of cauliflower as a side, just keep in mind if craving albino broccoli.

Dont know what has happened to Travinia, service was poor the Manager drunk and when we told them not to put cheese on a dish, they just brushed off the cheese and sent it back to us! We used to be regulars....never again!
