We started off with the calamari. It was cooked well and served with a tasty marinara sauce. Only problem is the portion was pretty small. My wife ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza for her entree and it was so delectable, absolutely mouth watering with each bite! She ate the whole 14 inch pizza! I ordered the Portofino and it was loaded with muscles, claims and squid with a small piece of white fish. The sauce was a little bit too watery for my liking but it had good flavor. I decided not to eat the piece of fish due to a bit more of a fishy taste than it should have, so i passed. Probably just not that fresh but not spoiled. Our server (Lauren B.) was fabulous. Very courteous, friendly attentive and genuinely enjoyed serving us, nice touch on her part.

I was visiting Asheville and walking around looking for a good place for brunch. My girlfriend and I were planning on visiting the breakfast/brunch spot across the street and they told us it was an hour wait for a table of 2 (it was around 11am, prime brunch hour). We kept walking around and I spotted the menu for Strada Italiano. The place was quite empty, we were seated right away. The coffee was amazing! Very smooth and not bitter at all. The wait staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. My girlfriend got the grits and we both agree they are the best grits we have ever ordered. I wanted to be adventurous and ordered the poutine, I was not at all disappointed. Will definitely be coming back here on my next trip

I was not happy with my meal as there was hot red pepper in all dishes which is not stated on the menu. I asked for a small bowl of pasta. It was a very small portion drowning in marinara sauce. They charged me7. For it. I didnt tip. With the problems ashheville restaurants are having getting and keeping employees youd think themanagement would just comp a small bowl of pasta so their waitresses can get a tip. A customer has no other recourse when they are unhappy than to just pay the bill. Strada, you got your money. I hope you kept your waitress because she was good. The food was good. I just wish Italian restaurants would go back to putting hot red pepper on the table instead of automatically in the food.

I had a total Ratatouille moment here. While eating my cup of carrot bisque, the sweet, warm, creaminess of the soup instantly transported me back to the front seat of my ex-boyfriends car, when he gave me my first kiss. The soup was so good it immediately summoned summer-warm memories of my past love, my grandmas kitchen, and my beloved time as a member of a highly rated soup cafe. It was amazing. The grilled ravioli was unusual and exotic, but perfectly seared with black char marks. I also had two of their famous meatballs. Not as good as Grandma Violas, but a close runner-up. Come during lunch. Its much faster and the food is still exquisite. Dont forget the stuffed figs for dessert!

We recently had a chance to visit Strada and enjoyed a very nice romantic dinner at the restaurant. It is highly recommended that you make reservations! I had called ahead of time to make arrangements for the dinner and the hostess helped to make the reservation upstairs with a nice place setting that stood out from the rest with a nice table cloth and a flower arrangement that I worked with a local florist to deliver prior to our reservation time. The waiter we had was knowledgeable about all the food and had fantastic drink recommendations. The food was delicious, the service all around was superb and I would highly recommend Strada for its unique Asheville spin on Italian food!

Excellent food and service. My wife has celiac and the restaurant was very accommodating. She was able to get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich for the first time in years. The gluten-free bread was very good. Nice, fresh salad started our meal. We didnt partake, but they had a nice wine selection. My kiddo got a cheese pizza from the kids menu and it made me jealous that I did not get pizza. I snuck a piece from her, and the pizza was great. I will try that next time. The rest of us got sandwiches, and they were good, but I dont think they were as good as the pizza. Gluten free pizza and sandwiches are available. They also have a gluten free fryer, so no problem with fries.

Our dinner choice based off of other reviews here on Google Maps... Not disappointed! Nice, low, light ambiance.. They bake their own breads and serve with the olive oil and balsamic with herbs. Our bread today was calamata olive and rosemary.... Super good! Their creamy eggplant bisque was very tasty, even to my husband that doesnt eat eggplant. He had a ceasar salad that was his best to date! His lasagna was great and I ordered the Johnny...something... pizza which is 12 inch and we couldve both eaten that with leftovers as its a stuffed pizza with a top crust! Very tasty! The food presentation was well done also. Great dining experience!!

Hosting a destination wedding is not easy and we hit a grand slam when we picked Strada to host our rehearsal dinner, upstairs one year ago. Strada service was impeccable, they (Carly) were accommodating when tweaking some of the menu items, and had a great house wine/beer selection. The food was fantastic with our favorites being the calamari, Tuscan figs, the duck, and meat lasagna. Cant forget about the tiramisu and cannoli either! Seating was perfect for 30, and then we invited the rest of our guests for a social gathering at the adjoining bar! Dont miss out on this great establishment!

Im giving it 2 stars because I thought that the veggie lasagna was okay, the sauce was pretty good but, the noodles were rubbery and the cheese resembled the outer layer of Brie Cheese (my boyfriend wouldnt commit to giving it one star, or even a half star- hes an Italian cuisine LOVER). We also ordered the Strata Pizza with spinach and it was like eating cardboard :( If the disappointment of an untasty meal after a long day wasnt bad enough, the cost pushed it right over the edge... Unfortunately, $40 later, the bottom line was a not so good/tasty experience. #SuperBummed

Dave our waiter was great, I hate to see a great waiter at a restaurant not of their caliber. But...You had to build your own bruschetta, and be prepared to try and digest entire garlic cloves at a time. Beware of the ravioli. Its not ravioli, the closest thing you can compare it to is reminiscent of my childhood toaster struddles, but unfortunately these dont come with the little icing packets. Again service was great, but considering what we spent on the meal I hope this inspires some menu changes..... And a month later Im still upset about my ravioli

We Love Strada Italiano..... The Food is Great, The service has always been Wonderful, They have a very Nice Wine selection And the ambiance is Warm and Cozy. They do have many of your Traditional Italian Dishes such as Rigatoni Bolognese and Lasagna, But they Excel in some of the more Exocitc and Deep rooted Plates like the Eggplant Involtini(My fave) and the Chicken Scarpariello. They also Craft Many Types of Specialty Pizza and have a nice variety Of Desserts Including the Not so Italian Chocolate covered Bacon ! :) Highly recommended....
