I am with a class of nursing students. We have been coming to TGI Fridays at the end of the last two quarters. We had a server, LaLa, for the first two days. She was exceptional. She ALWAYS checked our ids, and made no bones about it. She served us promptly and checked in routinely to make sure we had what we needed. She kept things light and fun. Today, "our" server was not there, in spite of us having been told that if we called ahead of time that she could be scheduled to serve us. Our service today was terrible. The restaurant was not full but our service was terrible (yes, I did repeat myself). Our orders were exceptionally slow. It took 20 minutes for water to be served to one person. When my turkey burger was served, I asked for mustard. I never got it. One of my classmates had chicken wings, one of which looked like it was from a severely malnourished chicken. Our server had no idea how to open a bottle of wine. We opened the wine ourselves. TWICE. And, we paid full price both times. Seriously, we could have gone through the drive through at Bojangles and gotten better service. To get the second bottle I eventually got up from the table to find someone to take our order because after waiting for service that did not show up I thought I might be able to find someone to get our order served in a more timely fashion. Nope. That did not happen. The host offered to help me, then told me to see the bar when I requested wine. Another server stopped and when queried about wine asked if I had shown my Id. In the mean time, our server walked by. I was irritated, headed back to the table and caught our server. I opened the second bottle. The service today left a lot to be desired. Our requests were never out of the ordinary. Nothing was off the menu. Our requests were legal (everyone was carded) and yet our service was terrible. My class might come back, but I wont. I can go to a grocery store and pay less to open the wine myself. And I can get my food cheaper and faster somewhere else.

I am not usually one to write reviews, and I normally dont care about the experience or food; however, this location was very disappointing. So much in fact, that Im writing this review while waiting for my check. The first problem was the service. Our hostess, as she was taking us to our table, was getting upset and snapping at a coworker for simply asking if we had been helped (we had already been ignored by two other hosts.) Our server seemed very fond of her other table, because it was nearly impossible to get her to help us. They sat us next to the entrance to the kitchen, so watching her pass us while meeting eyes and with empty drinks, was also upsetting. The food, well, I wouldve rather had the frozen T.G.I Friday appetizers from Walmart. I would have even taken Walmarts house branded "Sams Choice" as a tastier alternative. It was dry, had obviously been reheated, and was absolutely flavorless. Overall, in just, I would have taken my $50 to the upscale McDonalds down the street on Biltmore avenue. At least our service would have been expected, and the food: hot and ready. I would not recommend this T.G.I Fridays location. The only reason for two stars was the bar. Great bartenders, and excellent service from neighboring servers who brought some life into our evening.

Ok, so the value that was once TGI Fridays has long since left the building. Now, in place of good value, is over-priced entrees and there are better values for your dining dollars at other chain restaurants. That being said, the food was good. Jack Daniels anything is the delicious staple here but you will pay a huge premium for that little black glaze. The waitress was incredibly friendly and very helpful. She tried to pass us a coupon, but we already had one--so we passed it forward to another table. Drinks were always filled, food came out when it was supposed to and the endless chips and salsa for being a rewards member kept flowing. The kids will love the boba drinks. All in all, a good experience but pricey for what was offered. You could probably eat at a chain steakhouse for less so go to TGI Fridays only when you want the expensive black glaze.

I absolutely LOVE TGIFs! My fiance and I used to go there literally every week ATLEAST once if not 2 or 3 times until we moved. We never sat in the actual dinning room, but they have a GREAT bar area. HUGE bar with booths and tables all around. Great music. Great atmosphere. The servers, bartenders, and managers were always friendly. We went so much, they knew us by name eventually. The portions are always great. The drinks are great quality. The place including the bathrooms are super clean. The only complaint I have is that I dont get to go there anymore. Im excited because they are able to accommodate us for our rehearsal dinner this week at a fair price! Im so excited! Its in a great location in Biltmore Square with all the Asheville beauty.

I am sad to say that our experience was not the greatest tonight. My husband and I ordered two different kinds of grilled chicken but his was inedible. When we brought the attention to the manager he tried to make excuses saying well both chickens are the same. I understand sometimes people fake it to get free food but all we wanted was an edible meal. Upon his reaction we just agreed with him to take the chicken off our ticket. A good manager in my opinion would refer to either a better cooked replacement or even comp the meal entirely. The waiter was a great guy and will be tipped accordingly hopefully he doesnt have to share with his manager.

I took the Family out for supper on a Friday Night to what used to be a regular eating establishment. The Staff seemed to be new and inexperienced. The food was mostly average for this type of restaurant, except for the ribeye steak, which was the worst I have ever eaten, or I should say tried to eat. It was 90% gristle, fat, and chewed like rubber, totally uneatable, and my step moms ribeye was the same way. The manager was apologetic, and did give a card for a free appetizer if we ever go back. But, after dropping a $150 for a family outing, it doesnt seem worth the risk. I really hate the way this place has gone downhill.

Total Jerks! the service was a total bummer for our honeymoon evening after visiting Biltmore (which was amazing!) We waited about 30 mins then we received our drinks that were on special, the bartender didnt speak or look at us as she splashed down the drinks on our table (and no they werent busy) then our rude waiter to come back and say they were out of ribeye steak after waiting an hour. We asked for something else with a discount and he said no, so we left and went to Applebees Best Service we have ever had at a resturant! They were so happy and helpful! TGIF Sucks

Visited Fridays for a light supper. We had a big lunch and were not very hungry so we ordered the slider appetizer instead of a meal. The food was way overpriced. 4 sliders and one beer cost over $20. The service was terrible. The waitress brought our food, sat it down, did not give us plates to eat off of, did not give us napkins and did not come back. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, I will never eat here again. If you want a bad dining experience this is the place! ( This was our 50th wedding anniversary - what a disappointment.)
