Having moved here in 1999 from Connecticut and eaten great pizza and Italian food in NYC and Ct, we were hoping we would find a decent Italian place. We were not disappointed. We found it early on, the same family as today but under a different name. What is great is they know us and we know several servers such as Ted and Jeff who are friendly and when possible love to briefly chat. The food at Rossi’s is nothing short of great. From up north we loved a pizza with very crisp crust and almost paper thin. We mention it when ordering and have never been disappointed. One of our favorites is ½ pepperoni and ½ sausage but with a whole pepperoni pie portion on the ½ pepperoni side. Another wonderful dish is their Veal Marsala. The portion is very ample and the sauce with the mushrooms is to die for. When dining at Rossi’s we always have a small house salad. My only minor complaint is that the salad size “could” be a little more generous, but the accompanying house Italian dressing is so delicious I sop up what dressing is left after the salad greens and croutons are gone with the delicious side of Italian bread. That makes up for it somewhat. We have strayed every so often to try other Italian restaurants when we see a new one but we always compare it to Rossi’s and say, “Well we can cross this one off the list”. Rossi’s is our Gold Standard.

VERY IMPRESSED and SURPRISED. it doesnt have much curb appeal, nor does the place stand our from the road. But I had some people recommend them to me and now I want to kick myself for not trying it years ago. The MUSSELS were excellent. The free bread and dinner salad are both just ok, but that is minor. Ill order garlic bread next time and probably soup instead of salad. The Seafood Pompeii was very good and downright excellent when I added some FraDiavalo to it. They offered to bring out more sauce and did. it was thick and chunky, just how I like it. I could have put it on cardboard and made a good meal of it. The portions were big, food came out quickly, JOANNE was a great waitress, busboy was super, the manager came by a few times, and owner came over and thanked us for coming. I cant wait to try their other dishes and their pizza, which seems very popular. I knew the place was good when I walked in. It smelled like a good Italian restaurant should. When you factor in how affordable it is, I have to give it 5 stars. I"m a food snob and hard to please. Now I understand why theyve been in business for 34 years. ahhh, just burped and smelled GARLIC! Beauteeful!

Sorry to say that our dinning experience for lunch $47.00 started with Backed Clams oreganato, were terrible, I have for the last 70 years ordered baked Clams oreganato, at every Italian Restaurant and they were always made with the finest of oil, garlic, and light seasoned bread crumbs. Today they came in a dry pink thick sauce that tasted flooded with paprika and Crayola. TERRIBLE, I asked the waiter Ted why they were like this and he said this is the way they have always been made, I said I was in here last month and they were Oil Garlic and light bread crumbs not this Chinese paste. he checked with the chef? and he said this is the way it will always be made. I think that they have seen the last of me, as a matter of fact I am sure of it, we have been coming here from when Nick first moved here, and called it Angelos, and before that on U.S. 19, Sorry to say Gabrielle has to monitor her kitchen more closely. Could this be the start of a downward slide.??????

I ordered there for a take out order, was brought what I thought was my food, proceeded home, found out it wasnt mine and called the restaurant. Was told Im sorry for the mix up, which wasnt a big deal said I would like my original order and was told they would have to remake the order I took, I should have asked them to remake my order as it wasnt a thought that it wouldnt be, when I arrive and return the order and get my order (fish) I was greeted with a Im so sorry and took my food not asking if it had been remade. Well you guessed it, it was not remade. It had been sitting (fish, scallops, beans) for over 35min! I arrived home and thought, this would have been really good ....30 min ago. If I would have known I was given my original food I would have asked for a return voucher or a remake as she said she was remaking the others dish!....shame on me for not asking...guess thats what this has come down to, I didnt know we had to ask others to do the right thing.

We made reservations and we were seated when we walked through the door. The waiter was slow and my drink wasnt refilled one time. Our bill was almost $250 for 10 people and we were there for 3 hours. It took forever for our food to come out. The food was very good, but it wasnt even really hot. The desserts were amazing. The cappuccino was wonderful. Good wine selection. Good appetizers. Manager checked on every table around us except us. The busboy only came by 3 times and a stack of plates and dirty napkins sat at the end of the table for most of our meal. Management is very poor here, but the food would be worth it if you order out and pickup.

The family atmosphere and the delicious pizza has my family coming here over and over. Weve never tried anything else, so I cant speak to the rest of the menu. We get thin crust and extra crispy and it comes out crispy and light and perfect every time. The restaurant itself gets crazy busy during dinner rush hours, and the area to wait gets VERY crowded inside. When its winter, and all the old people are here, it even worse. So I would recommend going off of peak hours so you get great service and dont have to wait to be seated.

Came down from NYC. After reading reviews decided to give it a shot. Ordered chicken Alfredo and shrimp scampi. Price wise it was very affordable. Food wise. Service was slow. Not full by any means but spent 2 hours for two people. The food left something to be desired. It was mediocre at best nothing special. Waitress wasnt very friendly. Also informed us that everything was pre made which was kinda upsetting. Overall i probably wouldnt eat there again but with limited choices for Italian in the area not much of an option

The food was absolutely awful. We had the muscles in a white sauce that was pure lemon. Before we got them we even ordered extra bread to dip in the sauce like we normally would. Needless to say, that did not happen. The muscles and sauce were awful. We made the terrible mistake of giving their linguini with clams sauce a chance. They ended up sending us linguini with canned clam water. It was the most bland inedible dish I have been served in years. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid!!
